Deuteronomy 21
1 If someone is found killed in the land that Yahweh your God is giving you to possess, lying in the field, and it is not known who has attacked him;
Kong adunay usa ka tawo nga hikaplagan nga gipatay didto sa yuta nga gihatag ni Jehova nga imong Dios kanimo sa pagpanag-iya niini, nga magahay-ad sa baul, ug wala hibaloi kong kinsa ang nagpatay kaniya;
2 then your elders and your judges must go out, and they must measure to the cities that are around him who has been killed.
Unya ang imong mga anciano ug ang imong mga maghuhukom manggula, ug magasukod sila hangtud sa mga ciudad nga nagalibut kaniya nga gipatay;
3 Then the elders of the town nearest to the dead man's body must take a heifer from the herd, one that has never been put to work, and that has not borne the yoke.
Ug mamao kini nga ang ciudad nga labing haduol sa gipatay nga tawo bisan ang mga anciano niadtong ciudara nga labing haduol sa gipatay, magakuha gikan sa panon, ug usa ka vaca nga dumalaga nga wala pa magamit, ug wala masangoni ug yugo;
4 Then they must lead the heifer down to a valley with running water, a valley that has been neither plowed nor sown, and there in the valley they must break the heifer's neck.
Ug ang mga anciano niadtong ciudara magadala sa vaca nga dumalaga ngadto sa usa ka walog nga may nagaagay nga tubig, nga wala pa gayud madaro, ni hipugasi, ug ilang lunggoan sa liog ang vaca nga dumalaga didto sa walog.
5 The priests, descendants of Levi, must come forward, for Yahweh your God has chosen them to serve him and give blessing in the name of Yahweh and to decide every case of dispute and assault by their word.
Ug managpanuol ang mga sacerdote, ang mga anak nga lalake ni Levi; kay kanila nagpili si Jehova nga imong Dios aron sila magaalagad kaniya, ug sa pagpanalangin sa ngalan ni Jehova; ug sumala sa ilang pulong pagahukman ang tagsatagsa ka paglalis ug ang tagsatagsa ka pagbunal.
6 All the elders of the city that is the nearest to the killed man must wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley;
Ug ang tanan nga mga anciano niadtong ciudara nga labing haduol sa gipatay nga tawo, manghunaw sa ilang mga kamot sa ibabaw sa vaca nga dumalaga nga gilunggoan sa liog didto sa walog;
7 and they must answer to the case and say, 'Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.
Ug magaasoy sila sa matuod ug magaingon: Ang among mga kamot wala mag-ula niining dugoa, ni ang among mga mata nakakita niana.
8 Forgive, Yahweh, your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, and do not put guilt for innocent bloodshed in the midst of your people Israel.' Then the bloodshed will be forgiven them.
Pasayloa ang sala sa imong katawohan nga Israel, nga gitubos mo, Oh Jehova, ug dili mo pag-itugot ang dugo nga walay sala nga magapabilin sa taliwala sa imong katawohan nga Israel. Ug ang dugo pagapasayloon kanila.
9 In this way you will put away the innocent blood from your midst, when you do what is right in the eyes of Yahweh.
Sa ingon niini ihiklin mo ang dugo nga walay sala gikan sa imong taliwala, kong magabuhat ka niadtong matarung sa mga mata ni Jehova.
10 When you go out to do battle against your enemies and Yahweh your God gives you victory and puts them under your control, and you take them away as captives,
Sa diha nga moadto ka sa paggubat batok sa imong mga kaaway, ug si Jiehova nga imong Dios magatugyan kanila sa imong mga kamot, ug pagakuhaon mo sila nga binihag,
11 if you see among the captives a beautiful woman, and you have a desire for her and wish to take her for yourself as a wife,
Ug makakita ka sa taliwala sa mga binihag ug usa ka babaye nga maanyag, ug maibug ka kaniya, ug magakuha ka kaniya aron pangasaw-on;
12 then you will bring her home to your house; she will shave her head and cut her nails.
Dad-on mo siya sa imong balay; ug siya magakiskis sa iyang ulo, ug pagaputlan niya ang iyang mga koko;
13 Then she will take off the clothes she was wearing when she was taken captive and she will remain in your house and mourn for her father and her mother a full month. After that you may sleep with her and be her husband, and she will be your wife.
Ug pagahuboon niya ang bisti sa iyang pagkabinihag, ug magapabilin siya sa imong balay; ug magabakho siya mahitungod sa iyang amahan ug sa iyang inahan sulod sa usa ka bulan: ug sa human niadto moduol ka kaniya, ug ikaw mahimong iyang bana, ug siya mahimo nga imong asawa.
14 But if you take no delight in her, then you may let her go where she wishes. But you must not sell her at all for money, and you must not treat her like a slave, because you have humiliated her.
Ug mamao kini nga kong ikaw dili mahimuot kaniya, tugutan mo siya kong asa siya padulong; apan dili mo siya ibaligya tungod sa salapi, dili mo usab siya isipon nga ulipon kay gipakaulawan mo siya.
15 If a man has two wives and one is loved and the other is hated, and they have both borne him children—both the beloved wife and the hated wife—if the firstborn son is of her that is hated,
Kong ang usa ka tawo adunay duruha ka asawa, ang usa hinigugma, ug ang usa gidumtan, ug sila nga duha manag-anak kaniya ug mga anak, ang hinigugma ug ang gidumtan; ug kong ang anak nga lalake nga panganay maiya niadtong gidumtan;
16 then on the day that the man causes his sons to inherit what he possesses, he may not make the son of the beloved wife the firstborn before the son of the hated wife, the son who is actually the firstborn.
Unya mao kini nga sa adlaw nga pagabuhaton niya ang pagpapanunod sa iyang mga anak nga lalake sa iyang bahandi, dili niya ikahatag ang katarungan sa pagkapanganay sa mga anak nga lalake sa hinigugma sa pagkapinalabi sa anak nga lalake sa gidumtan nga mao ang panganay;
17 Instead, he must acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the hated wife, by giving him a double portion of all that he possesses; for that son is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn belongs to him.
Kondili ang anak nga lalake sa gidumtan pagailhon niya nga panganay, pinaagi sa paghatag kaniya ug duruha ka bahin sa tanan nga hikaplagan nga iya: kay kadto mao ang sinugdan sa iyang kusog, ang katungod sa pagkapanganay iya man.
18 If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, even though they correct him, will not listen to them;
Kong may tawo nga adunay anak nga lalake nga sukihan ug malalison, nga dili magatuman sa tingog sa iyang amahan, kun sa tingog sa iyang inahan, ug bisan ilang ginacastigo siya, dili siya magatuman kanila.
19 then his father and his mother must lay hold on him and bring him out to the elders of his city and to the gate of his city.
Unya magakupot kaniya ang iyang amahan ug ang iyang inahan, ug magadala kaniya ngadto sa mga anciano sa iyang ciudad ug sa ganghaan sa iyang dapit;
20 They must say to the elders of his city, 'This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.'
Ug magaingon sila sa mga anciano sa ciudad: Kining among anak nga lalake sukihan ug malalison, dili siya buot magatuman sa among tingog; siya ulitan ug palahubog.
21 Then all the men of his city must stone him to death with stones; and you will remove the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and fear.
Ug ang tanan nga mga tawo sa iyang ciudad magabuno kaniya ug mga bato, ngadto sa kamatayon, niini pagakuhaon mo ang dautan gikan sa taliwala mo; ug ang tibook nga Israel magapatalinghug ug mahadlok.
22 If a man has committed a sin worthy of death and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree,
Ug kong may tawo nga makasala ug usa ka sala nga angay sa kamatayon, ug nga siya pagapatyon, ug pagabitayon mo siya sa usa nga kahoy;
23 then his body must not remain all night on the tree. Instead, you must surely bury him the same day; for whoever is hanged is cursed by God. Obey this commandment so that you do not defile the land that Yahweh your God is giving you as an inheritance.
Ang iyang lawas dili magapabilin sa kahoy sa tibook nga gabii, apan sa pagkatinuod gayud igalubong mo siya nianang maong adlaw; kay siya nga gibitay tinunglo sa Dios; aron nga dili mo paghugawan ang imong yuta nga gihatag kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios sa pagkapanulondon.
