< Daniel 8 >

1 In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar, I, Daniel, had a vision appear to me (after the one that appeared to me at first).
In yac aktolu ke pacl Belshazzar el tokosra, nga tuh liye aruruma se akluo.
2 I saw in the vision, as I was looking, that I was in the fortress of Susa in the province of Elam. I saw in the vision that I was beside the Ulai Canal.
In aruruma se inge, nga liye mu nga oasr in siti potyak lun Susa in acn Elam. Nga tu sisken Infacl Ulai,
3 I looked up and saw before me a ram with two horns, standing beside the canal. One horn was longer than the other, but the longer one grew more slowly than the shorter and was passed up in length by it.
ac nga liye soko sheep mukul sisken infacl ah, su oasr koac na loeloes lukwa kac. Koac soko ma sikyak tok tuh loes liki ma soko ma sikyak meet.
4 I saw the ram charging west, then north, and then south; no other animal could stand before him. None of them was able to rescue anyone out of his hand. He did whatever he wanted, and he became great.
Ac nga liye sheep mukul soko ah sang koacl sinukin acn roto, epang, ac eir. Wangin kosro ku in tulokinilya, ku kaingkunla kuiyal. El oru na oana lungse lal, ac arulana orek funmwet.
5 As I was thinking about this, I saw a male goat come from the west, who went across the surface of the whole earth, running fast, not seeming to touch the ground. The goat had a large horn between his eyes.
Ke nga srike in suk kalmen ma se inge, na nani soko sasma tuku liki acn roto, upala mui lal ah oru nial tiana pusral acn uh. Oasr koac soko tume inmasrlon atronmutal ma arulana kalem.
6 He came to the ram who had two horns—I had seen the ram standing on the bank of the canal—and the goat ran toward the ram in a powerful rage.
Nani soko ah yume nwe yurin sheep mukul soko ma nga liye tu sisken infacl ah, ac atuyang nu sel ke kuiyal nufon.
7 I saw the goat come close to the ram. He was very angry at the ram, and he hit the ram and broke off its two horns. The ram was powerless to stand before him. The goat knocked him down to the ground and trampled on him. There was no one who could rescue the ram from his power.
Nga liye na ke el uni sheep mukul soko ah. Upala kasrkusrak lal, oru el atuyang nu kacl twe koteya koac lukwa ah. Wangin ku lun sheep mukul soko ah in lainul. Toloki el nu infohk uh ac futfutungyuki el, ac wangin sie su ku in molella.
8 Then the goat became very large. But when he became strong, the large horn was broken, and in its place four other large horns grew up that pointed toward the four winds of the heavens.
Nani soko ah yokyokelik na funmwet lal, tusruktu in pacl se na ma yokelik ku lal uh, na kaptelik koac soko kacl ah, na koac akosr sifilpa kapak aolla, ac kais soko koac inge foralik nu epang, eir, kutulap ac roto.
9 Out of one of them grew another horn, little at first, but which became very large in the south, in the east, and in the land of beauty.
Ac soko koac srisrik srunak liki soko sin koac akosr inge, su kuiyal fahsrelik nwe sun acn eir ac kutulap, ac sun pac Fulan Wuleang.
10 It became so large as to engage in war with the army of heaven. Some of that army and some of the stars were thrown down to the earth, and it trampled on them.
Kuiyal yokyokelik nwe ke na el ku pac in mweun lain un mwet mweun lun kusrao, ac mweuni pac itu uh ac sisla kutu selos nu fin fohk uh, ac longolosi.
11 It made itself to be as great as the commander of the army. It took away from him the regular burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was polluted.
Na koac srisrik soko ah oru nwe ke na el lain pac Fisrak lun un mwet mweun lun kusrao, ac tulokinya kisa ma orek nu sel ke len nukewa, ac aktaekyala Tempul uh.
12 Because of rebellion, the army will be given over to the goat's horn, and the burnt offering will be stopped. The horn will throw truth down to the ground, and it will succeed in what it does.
Mwet uh orekma koluk in Tempul, ac tila oru mwe kisa ma fal in orek we ke len nukewa uh, ac alu pwaye uh sisila. Koac srisrik soko ah orala nukewa ma el ke oru uh.
13 Then I heard a holy one speaking and another holy one answering him, “How long will these things last, this vision about the burnt offering, the sin that brings destruction, the handing over of the sanctuary, and heaven's army being trampled on?”
Na nga lohng sie lipufan uh siyuk sin sie pac, “Ma liyeyuk in aruruma se inge ac orek nwe ngac? Ma koluk lulap inge ac eisla acn sin orek kisa uh nwe ngac? Ac lolongyuki un mwet mweun lun kusrao ac Tempul uh nwe ngac?”
14 He said to me, “It will last for 2,300 evenings and mornings. After that the sanctuary will be put right.”
Ac nga lohng lipufan se ngia topuk ac fahk, “Ac orek ouinge ke len sie tausin siofok lumngaul, su orala pacl in kisa luo tausin tolfoko ke eku ac lotu, ma wangin kisa ac orek. Toko, na Tempul uh ac fah sifil akmutalyeyuk.”
15 When I, Daniel, had seen the vision, I tried to understand it. Then there stood before me one who looked like a man.
Nga srike in suk kalmen aruruma se inge, na in kitin pacl ah na sie ma su oana luman mwet se tume nu sik.
16 I heard a man's voice calling between the banks of the Ulai Canal. He said, “Gabriel, help this man understand the vision.”
Nga lohng sie pusra pangme liki Infacl Ulai ac fahk, “Gabriel, fahkak nu sel kalmen aruruma se el liye an.”
17 So he came near where I stood. When he came, I was frightened and prostrated myself on the ground. He said to me, “Understand, son of man, that the vision is for the time of the end.”
18 When he spoke to me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face to the ground. Then he touched me and made me stand up.
Ke el kaskas ah, nga putati nu infohk uh ac nikinyula. Tusruk el sruokyuwi, ac tulokinyuyak,
19 He said, “See, I will show you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time for the end.
ac fahk, “Nga akkalemye nu sum ma ac sikyak ke sripen kasrkusrak lun God. Aruruma sac fahkak ke ma ac sikyak ke safla lun ma nukewa.
20 As for the ram you saw, the one that had two horns—they are the kings of Media and Persia.
“Sheep mukul soko kom liye ma koac lukwa oan kac ah, pa tokosrai lun Media ac Persia.
21 The male goat is the king of Greece. The large horn between his eyes is the first king.
Nani soko ah pa tokosrai lun Greece, ac koac soko ma kom tuh liye tume inmasrlon atronmutal ah pa tokosra se emeet uh.
22 As for the horn that was broken, in the place of which four others arose—four kingdoms will arise from his nation, but not with his great power.

23 At the latter time of those kingdoms, when the transgressors shall have reached their limit, a grim-faced king, one who is very intelligent, will arise.
“Ke ac apkuran in safla pacl lun tokosrai akosr inge, ac koluk lalos uh arulana yokelik pwanang ac enenu in akkeokyeyuk elos, na ac fah oasr sie pac tokosra sikyak su ac arulana likkeke, kutasrik, ac akmas.
24 His power will be great—but not by his own power. He will be amazing in what he destroys; he will act and succeed. He will destroy powerful people, people among the holy ones.
Ku lal ac fah yokyokelik — tusruktu tia ke ku lal sifacna. Yohk ma el ac fah kunausla, ac ma nukewa el oru ac fah wo ouiyal kac. El ac fah pwanang mwet na yohk ku la in kunausyukla, ac mwet lun God uh ac musalla pac.
25 By his craftiness he will make deceit prosper under his hand. He will become great in his own mind. He will unexpectedly destroy many people. He will even rise up against the King of kings, and he will be broken, but not by any human hand.
Ke sripen kutasrik ac orek fwacfa lal uh, el ac fah eis pac wo ouiya ke inkanek kikiap lal. El ac fah sifacna yukunul ke ma el oru, ac kunausla mwet puspis ke inkanek lukma lal. El ac lain pac Tokosra se ma fulat liki nukewa, tusruktu ac kunausyukla el, tuh tia ke ku lun mwet uh.
26 The vision about the evenings and mornings that has been told is true. But seal up the vision, for it refers to many days in the future.”
Aruruma se kom tuh liye ke pacl in kisa in eku ac lotu ma aketeyuki nu sum ah, ac fah pwayena. Tusrktu mansis kom in tia srumun in pacl inge, mweyen ac fah akpwayeiyuk ke pacl na loes fahsru uh.”
27 Then I, Daniel, was overcome and lay weak for several days. Then I got up, and went about the king's business. But I was appalled by the vision, and there was no one who understood it.
Nga arulana toasrla ac mas ke len na pus. Na nga fah tukakek ac folokla nu ke orekma ma tokosra el pakiya nu sik, tusruktu nga fohs na ke aruruma sac, ac tia ku in etu kalmac.
