< Amos 6 >
1 Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who are secure in the hill country of Samaria, the notable men of the best of the nations, to whom the house of Israel comes for help!
Nnome nka mo a mugye mo ho di wɔ Sion, ne mo a mo asom adwo mo wɔ Samaria bepɔw so, mo atitiriw a mowɔ ɔman a edi kan mu, a Israelfo ba mo nkyɛn!
2 Your leaders say, “Go to Kalneh and look; from there go to Hamath, the great city; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are they better than your two kingdoms? Is their border larger than your border?”
Monkɔ Kalne nkɔhwɛ hɔ. Na mumfi hɔ nkɔ Hamat kɛse mu, munsian nkɔ Gat a ɛwɔ Filistia. Woye sen mo ahemman abien no? Wɔn asase no so sen mo de no ana?
3 Woe to those who put off the day of disaster and make the throne of violence come near.
Mutu da bɔne hyɛ da na motwe atemmuda bɛn.
4 They lie on beds of ivory and lounge on their couches. They eat lambs from the flock and calves from the stall.
Modeda asonse mpa so mugye mo ahome wɔ mo nnae mu, na mowe nguantenmma ne nantwimma a wɔadodɔ srade nam.
5 They sing foolish songs to the music of the harp; they improvise on instruments as David did.
Mode mo sankuten to ahuhunnwom, na mobɔ mo tirim yɛ nnwom wɔ mo nnwontode so te sɛ Dawid.
6 They drink wine from bowls and anoint themselves with the finest oils, but they do not grieve over the ruin of Joseph.
Monom nsa wɔ nkora mu na mode sradehuam papa yɛ mo ho, na munni awerɛhow wɔ Yosef sɛe ho.
7 So they will now go into exile with the first exiles, and the feasts of those who lounge about will pass away.
Ɛno nti, mobɛka wɔn a wodi kan twa wɔn asu no ho; na mo aponto ne mo ahomegye to betwa.
8 “I, the Lord Yahweh, have sworn by myself —this is the declaration of the Lord Yahweh, the God of hosts, I detest the pride of Jacob; I hate his fortresses. Therefore I will deliver up the city with all that is in it.”
9 It will come about that if there are ten men left in one house, they will all die.
Sɛ wogyaw nnipa du wɔ ofi baako mu a, wɔn nso bewuwu.
10 When a man's relative comes to take their bodies up—the one who is to cremate them after bringing the corpses out of the house—if he says to the person in the house, “Is there anyone with you?” What if that person says, “No.” Then he will say, “Be quiet, for we must not mention Yahweh's name.”
Na sɛ obusuani a ɔrebɛhyew awufo no ba sɛ ɔrebɛfa wɔn afi fie hɔ na obisa obi a wakɔtɛw se, “Obi ka wo ho ana?” Na obua se, “Dabi” a, afei ɔbɛka se, “Mua wʼano!” Ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔbɔ Awurade din.
11 For, look, Yahweh will give a command, and the big house will be smashed to pieces, and the little house to bits.
Na Awurade ahyɛ mmara na obebubu afi akɛse no mu asinasin ne afi nketewa no nso mu nketenkete.
12 Do horses run on the rocky cliffs? Does one plow there with oxen? Yet you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into bitterness.
Apɔnkɔ tu mmirika wɔ abotan a apaapae so ana? Na obi de nantwi funtum hɔ ana? Nanso moadan atɛntrenee ayɛ no awuduru. Na trenee nso ayɛ nwenweenwen.
13 You who rejoice over Lo Debar, who say, “Have we not taken Karnaim by our own strength?”
Mo a mo ani gye Lo-debar nkogu ho, na mubisa se, “Ɛnyɛ yɛn ahoɔden na yɛde dii Karnaim so ana?”
14 “But look, I will raise up against you a nation, house of Israel—this is the declaration of the Lord Yahweh, the God of hosts. They will afflict you from Lebo Hamath to the brook of the Arabah.”
Nea Asafo Awurade Nyankopɔn se ni: “Mɛhwanyan ɔman bi abetia mo, Israelfo, nea ɔbɛhyɛ mo so afi Lebo Hamat akosi Araba bon mu.”
