2 Kings 9
1 Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets and said to him, “Dress for travel, then take this little bottle of oil in your hand and go to Ramoth Gilead.
Elísá próféta pedig hívott egyet a prófétafiak közül; és mondta neki: Övezd föl derekadat, vedd ez olajkorsót kezedbe és menj Rámót-Gileádba.
2 When you arrive, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi, and go in and make him arise up from among his companions, and conduct him to an inner chamber.
Ha odaérkeztél, nézd ott Jéhút, Jehósáfátnak, Nimsí fiának fiát, akkor menj oda, szólítsd ki testvérei közül és vezesd őt be szobából szobába;
3 Then take the bottle of oil and pour it on his head and say, 'Yahweh says this: “I have anointed you king over Israel.”' Then open the door, and run off; do not delay.”
és vedd az olajkorsót, önts a fejére és mondd: így szól az Örökkévaló: fölkentelek királynak Izraél fölött. Erre nyisd ki az ajtót és fuss el, s ne várakozzál.
4 So the young man, the young prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead.
Ment tehát az ifjú, a próféta ifjú, Rámót-Gileádba.
5 When he arrived, behold, the captains of the army were sitting. So the young prophet said, “I have come on an errand to you, captain.” Jehu replied, “To which of us?” The young prophet answered, “To you, captain.”
Odaért, s íme a sereg vezérei ott ültek, és szólt: Szavam van hozzád, oh vezér! Mondta Jéhú: Kihez mindnyájunk közül? És mondta: Hozzád, oh vezér!
6 So Jehu arose and went into the house, and the prophet poured the oil on his head and said to Jehu, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, says this: 'I have anointed you king over the people of Yahweh, over Israel.
Erre fölkelt, bement a házba, és öntött olajat a fejére; s mondta neki: Így szól az Örökkévaló Izraél Istene: fölkentelek királynak az Örökkévaló népe fölött, Izraél fölött!
7 You must kill the family of Ahab your master, so that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Yahweh, who were murdered by the hand of Jezebel.
Hogy megverjed uradnak Achábnak házát, és bosszút álljak Izébelen szolgáimnak, a prófétáknak véréért és mind az Örökkévaló szolgáinak véréért;
8 For the whole family of Ahab will perish, and I will cut off from Ahab every male child, whether he is a slave or a free person.
hogy elvesszen Acháb egész háza; kiirtok Acháb házából falra vizelőt, elzártat és magára hagyottat Izraélben.
9 I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah.
És olyanná teszem Acháb házát, mint Járobeámnak, Nebát fiának házát és mint Báesának, Achíja fiának házát.
10 The dogs will eat Jezebel in Jezreel, and there will be no one to bury her.'” Then the prophet opened the door and ran off.
Izébelt pedig megeszik a kutyák Jizreél határában, és nincs ki eltemeti. Ezzel kinyitotta az ajtót és elfutott.
11 Then Jehu came out to the servants of his master, and one said to him, “Is everything alright? Why did this mad fellow come to you?” Jehu answered them, “You know the man and the kinds of things he says.”
Jéhú pedig kiment urának szolgáihoz, és mondták neki: Béke van-e? Miért jött hozzád az az őrült? Szólt hozzájuk: Ti ismeritek azt az embert és beszédét.
12 They said, “That is a lie. Tell us.” Jehu answered, “He said this and that to me, and he also said, 'This is what Yahweh says: I have anointed you as king over Israel.'”
De mondták: Hazugság! Csak mondd meg nekünk. Mondta: Így meg úgy szólt hozzám, mondván: így szól az Örökkévaló: fölkentelek királynak Izraél fölött!
13 Then each of them quickly took off his outer garment and put it under Jehu at the top of the steps. They blew the trumpet and said, “Jehu is king.”
Erre siettek és vették kiki a ruháját és ő alája tették azt a lépcső tetején, megfútták a harsonát és mondták: király lett Jéhú.
14 In this way Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. Now Joram had been defending Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Aram,
Összeesküdött tehát Jéhú, Jehósáfátnak, Nimaí fiának fia, Jórám ellen, Jórám pedig megszállva tartotta Rámót-Gileádot, ő meg egész Izraél Chazáél, Arám királya ellenében.
15 but King Joram had gone back to Jezreel to be healed of the wounds that the Arameans had given him, when he had fought against Hazael king of Aram. Jehu said to the servants of Joram, “If this is your opinion, then let no one escape and go out of the city, in order to go tell this news in Jezreel.”
De visszament Jehórám király, hogy gyógyíttassa magát Jizreélben a sebekből, melyeket ütöttek rajta az Arámbeliek, mikor harcolt Chazáél Arám királya ellen és mondta Jéhú: Ha nektek tetszik, ne menjen ki menekülő a városból, hogy elmenne jelenteni Jizréelbe.
16 So Jehu rode in a chariot to Jezreel; for Joram was resting there. Now Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.
És kocsira ült Jéhú és elment Jizreélbe, mert Jórám ott feküdt, Achazja pedig, Jehúda királya, lement volt, hogy meglátogassa Jórámot.
17 The watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he saw the company of Jehu as he came at a distance; he said, “I see a group of men coming.” Joram said, “Take a horseman, and send him out to meet them; tell him to say, 'Are you coming in peace?'”
Az őr pedig ott állt a tornyon Jizreélben és látta Jéhúnak csapatját, amint jött; akkor mondta: Csapatot látok! Erre mondta Jehórám: Végy egy lovast és küldj elébök és szóljon: Béke van-e?
18 So a man was sent on horseback to meet him; he said, “The king says this: 'Are coming in peace?'” So Jehu said, “What have you to do with peace? Turn and ride behind me.” Then the watchman told the king, “The messenger has met them, but he is not coming back.”
Elébe ment a lovas és mondta: Így szól a király: béke van-e? Mondta Jéhú: Mi közöd a békéhez? Fordulj én mögém! És az őr jelentette, mondván: Eljutott a követ hozzájuk, de vissza nem tért.
19 Then he sent out a second man on horseback, who came to them and said, “The king says this: 'Are you coming in peace?'” Jehu answered, “What have you to do with peace? Turn and ride behind me.”
Erre küldött egy másik lovast; hozzájuk jutott és mondta: Így szól a király: béke van-e? Mondta Jéhú: Mi közöd a békéhez? Fordulj én mögém!
20 Again the watchman reported, “He has met them, but he is not coming back. For the way that the chariot is being driven is the way that Jehu son of Nimshi drives; he is driving wildly.”
És az őr jelentette, mondván: Egészen hozzájuk ért, de vissza nem tért; a hajtás pedig olyan, mint Jéhú, Nimsí fiának hajtása, mert őrületesen hajt.
21 So Joram said, “Get my chariot ready.” They prepared his chariot, and Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah rode out, each in his chariot, to meet Jehu. They found him at the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.
Erre mondta Jehórám: Fogj be! És befogták a kocsiját. És kiment Jehórám, Izraél királya, meg Achazjáhú, Jehúda királya, kiki a maga kocsiján és kimentek Jéhú elébe és találták őt a Jizreélbeli Nábót telkén.
22 When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Are you coming in peace, Jehu?” He answered, “What peace is there, when the idolatrous acts of prostitution and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel are so many?”
És volt, a mint Jehórám meglátta Jéhút, mondta: Béke van-e Jéhú? Mondta: Mit békét, a míg tartanak Ízébel anyádnak paráználkodásai és sok boszorkánysága?
23 So Joram turned his chariot and fled and said to Ahaziah, “There is treachery, Ahaziah.”
Ekkor megfordította Jehórám a kezeit és megfutamodott. Így szólt Achazjáhúhoz: Árulás, Achazja!
24 Then Jehu drew his bow with his full strength and shot Joram between his shoulders; the arrow went through his heart, and he sank down in his chariot.
De Jéhú meghúzta kezével az íjat és találta Jehórámot a lapockák között, úgy hogy szívéből jött ki a nyíl és összerogyott kocsijában.
25 Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, “Pick him up and throw him in the field of Naboth the Jezreelite. Think about how when you and I rode together after Ahab his father, Yahweh placed this prophecy against him:
És szólt Bidkárhoz, a hadnagyához: Vedd föl, dobd őt a Jizreélbeli Nábót mezejének telkére; mert emlékezzél, hogy én és te párosan nyargaltunk Acháb, az ő atyja után és az Örökkévaló kimondta ellene ezt a kijelentést:
26 'Yesterday I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons—declares Yahweh—and I will surely make you pay for it on this field—declares Yahweh. Now then, pick him up and throw him on this field, according to the word of Yahweh.”
bizony Nábótnak ontott vérét és fiainak ontott vérét láttam tegnap, úgy mond az Örökkévaló, de megfizetem neked ezen a telken, úgy mond az Örökkévaló. Most tehát vedd fel, dobd őt a telekre, az Örökkévaló igéje szerint.
27 When Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled up the road to Beth Haggan. But Jehu followed him, and said, “Kill him also in the chariot,” and they shot him at the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. Ahaziah fled to Megiddo and died there.
Achazja pedig, Jehúda királya, látta és megfutamodott a kert házának útján; de üldözőbe vette őt Jéhú és mondta: Őt is üssétek le a kocsiban, a Jibleám mellett levő Gúr hágóján. Megfutamodott Megiddóig és meghalt ott.
28 His servants carried his body in a chariot to Jerusalem and buried him in his tomb with his fathers in the city of David.
Jeruzsálembe szállították őt szolgái és eltemették őt sírjában ősei mellett, Dávid városában.
29 Now it was in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab that Ahaziah had begun to reign over Judah.
Tizenegyedik évében pedig Jórámnak, Acháb fiának, király lett Achazja Jehúda fölött.
30 When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it, and she painted her eyes, arranged her hair, and looked out the window.
Bevonult Jéhú Jizreélbe, Ízébel pedig hallotta, kendőzte a szemeit és ékesítette fejét és kitekintett az ablakon.
31 As Jehu was entering the gate, she said to him, “Are you coming in peace, you Zimri, your master's murderer?”
Mikor Jéhú bejött a kapun, mondta: Béke van-e, te Zimrí, uradnak gyilkosa?
32 Jehu looked up at the window and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” Then two or three eunuchs looked out.
Erre fölemelte arcát az ablak felé és mondta: Ki van velem? Ki? És kitekintett feléje két-három udvari tiszt.
33 So Jehu said, “Throw her down.” So they threw Jezebel down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and the horses, and Jehu trampled her underfoot.
Akkor mondta: Lökjétek le! És lelökték. És freccsent véréből a falra és a lovakra, őt meg összetaposta.
34 When Jehu entered the palace, he ate and drank. Then he said, “See now to this cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king's daughter.”
Bement, evett és ivott; ekkor mondta: Nézzetek csak utána ennek az átkozottnak és temessétek el, mert király leánya ő!
35 They went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull, the feet, and the palms of her hands.
Mentek tehát hogy eltemessék, de nem találtak belőle semmit, csak a koponyát, a két lábát és a két keze fejét.
36 So they came back and told Jehu. He said, “This is the word of Yahweh which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 'In the land at Jezreel the dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel,
Visszatértek és tudtára adták neki. Ekkor mondta: az Örökkévaló igéje az, melyet szólt az ő szolgája, a Tisbébeli Élijáhú által, mondván: Jizreél határában eszik meg a kutyák Ízébel húsát.
37 and the body of Jezebel will be like dung on the surface of the fields in the land at Jezreel, so that no one will be able to say, “This is Jezebel.”'”
És lesz Ízébel hullája mint a trágya a mező színén Jizreél határában, úgy hogy senki nem mondhatja: ez Ízébel.
