< 2 Kings 9 >

1 Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets and said to him, “Dress for travel, then take this little bottle of oil in your hand and go to Ramoth Gilead.
Elisha janabi noluongo achiel kuom jonabi mowachone niya, “Ngʼwan lawi e nungoni, kendo ikaw morni idhigo e piny Ramoth Gilead.

4 So the young man, the young prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead.
Eka wuowi matin ma janabi nodhi Ramoth Gilead.
5 When he arrived, behold, the captains of the army were sitting. So the young prophet said, “I have come on an errand to you, captain.” Jehu replied, “To which of us?” The young prophet answered, “To you, captain.”
Kane ochopo noyudo ka jotend lweny obet kanyakla. Nowachone jatend lweny niya, “An-gi wach moro madwaro wachoni.” Jehu nopenje niya, “En ngʼa kuomwa ka midwaro losogo?” Nodwoke niya, “En mana in, jatend lweny.”
6 So Jehu arose and went into the house, and the prophet poured the oil on his head and said to Jehu, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, says this: 'I have anointed you king over the people of Yahweh, over Israel.
Jehu nochungʼ malo modhi kode ei ot. Bangʼ mano janabino noolo mo ewi Jehu kowachone niya, “Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasach Israel wacho: ‘Asewali mondo ibed ruodh Israel ma gin jo-Jehova Nyasaye.

10 The dogs will eat Jezebel in Jezreel, and there will be no one to bury her.'” Then the prophet opened the door and ran off.
To ne Jezebel guogi ema nocham ringre e puodho manie paw Jezreel kendo onge ngʼama noyike.’” Bangʼ mano noyawo dhoot moringo odhi.
11 Then Jehu came out to the servants of his master, and one said to him, “Is everything alright? Why did this mad fellow come to you?” Jehu answered them, “You know the man and the kinds of things he says.”
Kane Jehu odok ir jotend lweny wetene achiel kuomgi nopenje niya, “Bende weche duto beyo? To angʼo mane janekono obirone iri?” Jehu nodwokogi niya, “Ungʼeyo ngʼatno, to gi gik ma onyalo wacho.”
12 They said, “That is a lie. Tell us.” Jehu answered, “He said this and that to me, and he also said, 'This is what Yahweh says: I have anointed you as king over Israel.'”
Negikwere niya, “Mano en miriambo, wachnwa adier.” Jehu nodwokogi niya, “Ma e gima nonyisa: ‘Ni Jehova Nyasaye owacho: Asewiri mondo ibed ruodh Israel.’”
13 Then each of them quickly took off his outer garment and put it under Jehu at the top of the steps. They blew the trumpet and said, “Jehu is king.”
Negigolo lepgi piyo piyo ma gipedho ewi raidhi mondo Jehu owuothie. Eka negigoyo turumbete ka gigoyo koko niya, “Jehu en ruoth!”
14 In this way Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. Now Joram had been defending Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Aram,
Eka Jehu wuod Jehoshafat ma wuod Nimshi nochano lingʼ-lingʼ mondo omonj Joram. (Koro Joram gi jo-Israel duto nosebedo kakedo mondo gisir Ramoth Gilead kuom monj moa kuom Hazael ruodh Aram,
15 but King Joram had gone back to Jezreel to be healed of the wounds that the Arameans had given him, when he had fought against Hazael king of Aram. Jehu said to the servants of Joram, “If this is your opinion, then let no one escape and go out of the city, in order to go tell this news in Jezreel.”
to ruoth Joram noduogo Jezreel mondo ochangi kuom adhonde mane oyudo kuom lweny mane ni e kinde gi Hazael ruodh jo-Aram). Jehu mowachone niya, “Ka ma e kaka uparo, to kik iyie ngʼato angʼata wuogi e dala maduongʼ ka mondo odhi ohul wachni e piny Jezreel.”
16 So Jehu rode in a chariot to Jezreel; for Joram was resting there. Now Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.
Eka nodhi moidho gache mar lweny moringo odhi Jezreel nikech Joram ne ni kuno kendo Ahazia ruodh Juda bende noyudo ni kuno kaka wendone.
17 The watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he saw the company of Jehu as he came at a distance; he said, “I see a group of men coming.” Joram said, “Take a horseman, and send him out to meet them; tell him to say, 'Are you coming in peace?'”
18 So a man was sent on horseback to meet him; he said, “The king says this: 'Are coming in peace?'” So Jehu said, “What have you to do with peace? Turn and ride behind me.” Then the watchman told the king, “The messenger has met them, but he is not coming back.”
Jariemb faras noringo moromo gi Jehu mowachone niya, “Ruodha penjo kama: ‘Bende ubiro e yor kwe?’” Jehu nodwoke niya, “Kwe to obadhi angʼo? Luw bangʼa.” Jangʼicho nodwoko wach ni Joram ni, “Jaote osechopo irgi, to ok ane koduogo.”
19 Then he sent out a second man on horseback, who came to them and said, “The king says this: 'Are you coming in peace?'” Jehu answered, “What have you to do with peace? Turn and ride behind me.”
Kuom mano ruoth nooro jariemb faras mar ariyo. Kane ochopo irgi nowachonegi niya, “Ruodha penjo kama: ‘Bende ubiro e yor kwe?’” Jehu nodwoke niya, “Kwe to obadhi e angʼo? Luw bangʼa.”
20 Again the watchman reported, “He has met them, but he is not coming back. For the way that the chariot is being driven is the way that Jehu son of Nimshi drives; he is driving wildly.”
Jangʼicho noduogo wach ne Joram niya, “Osechopo irgi, to ok ane koduogo. Jariemb gari cha chalo mana gi Jehu wuod Nimshi, kendo oriembo mana ka janeko.”
21 So Joram said, “Get my chariot ready.” They prepared his chariot, and Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah rode out, each in his chariot, to meet Jehu. They found him at the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.
Joram nogolo chik niya, “Ikna gacha.” To kane giseikone gache, Joram ruodh Israel kod Ahazia ruodh Juda noriembo gechegi, ka ngʼato ka ngʼato ni e gache owuon mondo girom gi Jehu. Negiromo kode e puodho mane mar Naboth ja-Jezreel.
22 When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Are you coming in peace, Jehu?” He answered, “What peace is there, when the idolatrous acts of prostitution and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel are so many?”
Kane Joram oneno Jehu nopenje niya, “Ibiro e yor kwe koso?” Jehu nodwoke niya, “Ere kaka kwe nyalo betie kapod Jezebel minu dhi nyime gi lamo nyiseche manono kod timo timbe jwok?”
23 So Joram turned his chariot and fled and said to Ahaziah, “There is treachery, Ahaziah.”
Joram nolokore moa gi ngʼwech kokok ne Ahazia niya, “Ja-andhoga Ahazia!”
24 Then Jehu drew his bow with his full strength and shot Joram between his shoulders; the arrow went through his heart, and he sank down in his chariot.
Eka Jehu noywayo atungʼ modiro asere kendo ochwoyo kind ngʼede Joram. Asere nopowo dho chunye molwar piny oa ewi gache.
25 Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, “Pick him up and throw him in the field of Naboth the Jezreelite. Think about how when you and I rode together after Ahab his father, Yahweh placed this prophecy against him:
Jehu nowachone Bidkar jatend gechene mag lweny niya, “Kawe ibole e puodho mane mar Naboth ja-Jezreel. Par kaka in kod an ne wariembo gechewa kanyachiel bangʼ Ahab ma wuon-gi kane Jehova Nyasaye okoro wachni kuome kama:
26 'Yesterday I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons—declares Yahweh—and I will surely make you pay for it on this field—declares Yahweh. Now then, pick him up and throw him on this field, according to the word of Yahweh.”
‘Nyoro ne aneno remb Naboth gi remb yawuote kendo adiera abiro miyo gichul kuom chwero remo e puodho manie pap,’ Jehova Nyasaye owacho. Kaweuru kendo ubole e puodhono kaluwore gi wach Jehova Nyasaye.”
27 When Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled up the road to Beth Haggan. But Jehu followed him, and said, “Kill him also in the chariot,” and they shot him at the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. Ahaziah fled to Megiddo and died there.
Kane Ahazia ruodh Juda oneno gima otimore noringo kotony gi yor Beth-Hagan. Jehu nolawe kakok niya, “En bende negeuru!” Ne gihinye ewi gache mar lweny koringo ochomo Gur man but Ibleam, to notony kodhi Megido kuma nothoe.
28 His servants carried his body in a chariot to Jerusalem and buried him in his tomb with his fathers in the city of David.
Jotichne nokawe gi gach lweny nyaka Jerusalem moike kod kwerene e bure mantiere e Dala Maduongʼ mar Daudi.
29 Now it was in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab that Ahaziah had begun to reign over Judah.
E higa mar apar gachiel mar Joram wuod Ahab, Ahazia nobedo ruoth e piny Juda.
30 When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it, and she painted her eyes, arranged her hair, and looked out the window.
Kane Jehu odhi Jezreel, Jezebel nowinjo birone kanyo, mi obuko wangʼe kendo oloso wiye kongʼicho gie dirisa.
31 As Jehu was entering the gate, she said to him, “Are you coming in peace, you Zimri, your master's murderer?”
Kane Jehu odonjo e dhorangach nopenjo niya, “Ibiro e yor kwe, in Zimri ma janek ruodheni?”
32 Jehu looked up at the window and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” Then two or three eunuchs looked out.
Nongʼiyo malo e dirisa mopenjo niya, “En ngʼa ma jakora? En ngʼa?” Eka ji ariyo kata adek mabwoch nongʼiye gi kwinyo.
33 So Jehu said, “Throw her down.” So they threw Jezebel down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and the horses, and Jehu trampled her underfoot.
Jehu nowachonegi niya, “Diruru dhakono piny!” Omiyo negidire piny ma rembe moko okirore e kor ohinga ka farase nyone piny.
34 When Jehu entered the palace, he ate and drank. Then he said, “See now to this cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king's daughter.”
Jehu nodonjo e dalano mochiemo kendo ometho. Eka nowachonegi niya, “Kawuru dhako mokwongʼno udhi uyiki, nimar ne en nyar ruoth.”
35 They went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull, the feet, and the palms of her hands.
To kane gidhi yike onge gima negiyudo makmana hanga wiye, tiendene gi lwetene.
36 So they came back and told Jehu. He said, “This is the word of Yahweh which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 'In the land at Jezreel the dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel,
Negidok ma giwachone Jehu wachno, mane owacho niya, “Ma e wach mane Jehova Nyasaye owacho kokadho kuom jatichne Elija ja-Tishbi: E puodho manie paw Jezreel guogi nokidh ringre Jezebel.

Ringre Jezebel nochal ka owuoyo moyar e pewe mag Jezreel, maonge ngʼama nyalo wacho ni ma Jezebel.”
