2 Kings 6
1 The sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “The place where we live with you is too small for us all.
১এদিন শিষ্য ভাববাদীসকলে ইলীচাক ক’লে, “চাওঁক, যি ঠাইত আমি আপোনাৰ লগত থাকো সেই ঠাই আমাৰ সকলোৰে কাৰণে অতি সৰু।
2 Please let us go to the Jordan, and let every man cut down a tree there, and let us build us a place there where we may live.” Elisha answered, “You may go ahead.”
২আপুনি অনুগ্রহ কৰি অনুমতি দিলে আমি যৰ্দ্দন নদীৰ কাষলৈ গৈ প্ৰতিজনে এডালকৈ গছ কাটি সেই ঠাইতে আমি থাকিবলৈ এডোখৰ ঠাই যুগুত কৰিম।” তাতে ইলীচাই ক’লে, “বাৰু, তোমালোক আগুৱাই যোৱা।”
3 One of them said, “Please go with your servants.” Elisha answered, “I will go.”
৩তেতিয়া এজন শিষ্য-ভাৱবাদীয়ে ক’লে, “আপুনিও আপোনাৰ দাসবোৰৰ লগত ব’লক।” ইলীচাই কলে, “ঠিক আছে, ময়ো যাম।”
4 So he went with them, and when they came to the Jordan, they began to cut down trees.
৪এইদৰে তেৱোঁ তেওঁলোকৰ লগত গ’ল। তেওঁলোকে যৰ্দ্দনৰ ওচৰলৈ গৈ গছ কাটিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
5 But as one was chopping, the ax head fell into the water; he cried out and said, “Oh no, my master, it was borrowed!”
৫তেওঁলোকৰ মাজৰ এজনে যেতিয়া গছ কাটি আছিল, তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ কুঠাৰখন সুলকি গৈ পানীত পৰিল; তাতে তেওঁ চিঞঁৰ মাৰি ক’লে, “হায় হায়! হে প্ৰভু, মই এইখন আনৰ পৰা খুজি আনিছিলো!”
6 So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” The man showed Elisha the place. He then cut off a stick, threw it in the water, and made the iron float.
৬তেতিয়া ঈশ্বৰৰ লোকে সুধিলে, “সেইখন ক’ত পৰিল?” সেই লোকে ঠাইডোখৰ দেখুৱাই দিয়াত ইলীচাই এডোখৰ কাঠ কাটি আনি পানীত পেলাই দিলে; তেতিয়া লোহা ডোখৰ পানীত ওপঙি উঠিল।
7 Elisha said, “Pick it up.” So the man reached out his hand and grabbed it.
৭ইলীচাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “সেইটো তুলি লোৱা।” তাতে তেওঁ হাত মেলি তাক ল’লে।
8 Now the king of Aram was waging war against Israel. He consulted with his servants, saying, “My camp will be in such and such a place.”
৮সেই সময়ত অৰামৰ ৰজাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ কৰিছিল। তেওঁ নিজৰ দাসবোৰৰ সৈতে চর্চা কৰি ক’লে, “অমুক-তমুক ঠাইত মোৰ ছাউনি থাকিব।”
9 So the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, “Be careful not to pass that place, for the Arameans are going down there.”
৯তেতিয়া ঈশ্বৰৰ লোকে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাক কৈ পঠালে বোলে, “সাৱধান, সেই ঠাইলৈ নাযাব; কাৰণ অৰামীয়াসকল সেই ঠাইলৈ নামি আহিছে।”
10 The king of Israel sent a message to the place about which the man of God had spoken and warned him. More than once or twice, when the king went there, he was on his guard.
১০তেতিয়া ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাই ঈশ্বৰৰ লোকে তেওঁক সাৱধান কৰি দিয়া ঠাইডোখৰলৈ মানুহ পঠাই নিজক ৰক্ষা কৰিলে। এইদৰে ইলীচাই কৰা সতর্কতাত ৰজা বাৰে বাৰে ৰক্ষা পৰে।
11 The king of Aram was enraged about these warnings, and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you not tell me who among us is for the king of Israel?”
১১এই হেতুকে অৰামৰ ৰজাৰ বৰকৈ খং উঠিল। সেয়ে তেওঁ নিজৰ দাসবোৰক মাতি ক’লে, “আমাৰ মাজৰ কোন মানুহ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাৰ পক্ষত আছে, তাক তোমালোকে মোক নোকোৱানে?”
12 So one of his servants said, “No, my master, king, for Elisha the prophet in Israel tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your own bedroom!”
১২তাতে দাসবোৰৰ মাজৰ এজনে ক’লে, “হে মোৰ প্ৰভু মহাৰাজ, আমাৰ মাজত কোনো নাই; কিন্তু আপুনি শোৱা কোঠালিত যি সকলো কথা কয়, সেই কথা পর্যন্ত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ভাববাদী ইলীচাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাক জনায়!”
13 The king replied, “Go and see where Elisha is so I may send men and capture him.” It was told him, “See, he is in Dothan.”
১৩ৰজাই ক’লে, “তোমালোকে গৈ তেওঁ ক’ত থাকে, তাক চাই আহাঁ; মই মানুহ পঠাই তেওঁক ধৰি আনিম।” পাছত তেওঁক জনোৱা হ’ল যে, “তেওঁ দোথানত আছে।”
14 So the king sent to Dothan horses, chariots, and a large army. They came by night and surrounded the city.
১৪তেতিয়া ৰজাই ঘোঁৰা, ৰথ আৰু এক বহু সৈন্যৰ দল দোথানলৈ পঠাই দিলে; তেওঁলোকে ৰাতিয়েই গৈ নগৰখন ঘেৰি ধৰিলে।
15 When the servant of the man of God had risen early and gone outside, behold, a large army with horses and chariots surrounded the city. His servant said to him, “Oh, my master! What will we do?”
১৫পিছদিনা ঈশ্বৰৰ লোকৰ দাসে ৰাতিপুৱা উঠি যেতিয়া বাহিৰলৈ ওলাই গৈছিল, তেতিয়া তেওঁ ৰথ আৰু ঘোঁৰাবোৰেৰে সৈতে এদল সৈন্যই নগৰখন ঘেৰি থকা দেখা পালে; দাসজনে তেওঁক ক’লে, “হায়, মোৰ প্ৰভু! আমি কি কৰিম?”
16 Elisha answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
১৬ইলীচাই ক’লে, “ভয় নকৰিবা; কিয়নো আমাৰ লগত থকাসকল তেওঁলোকৰ লগত থকাসকলতকৈ অধিক।”
17 Elisha prayed and said, “Yahweh, I beg that you will open his eyes that he may see.” Then Yahweh opened the servant's eyes, and he saw. Behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around Elisha!
১৭তাৰ পাছত ইলীচাই এই প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিলে, “হে যিহোৱা, মই নিবেদন কৰোঁ, এই দাসে যেন দেখা পায়, আপুনি তেওঁৰ চকু মুকলি কৰি দিব।” যিহোৱাই সেই দাসৰ চকু মুকলি কৰি দিলে। তাতে তেওঁ দেখা পালে যে, ইলীচাৰ চাৰিওফালে পাহাৰখন অগ্নিময় ঘোঁৰা আৰু ৰথেৰে ভৰি আছে!
18 When the Arameans came down to him, Elisha prayed to Yahweh and said, “Strike these people blind, I ask you.” So Yahweh made them blind, just as Elisha had asked.
১৮পাছত অৰামীয়াসকল যেতিয়া ইলীচাৰ ওচৰলৈ নামি আহিছিল, তেতিয়া তেওঁ যিহোৱাৰ আগত এই প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিলে, “মই নিবেদন কৰোঁ, আপুনি এই লোকসকলক অন্ধ কৰি দিয়ক।” তাতে ইলীচাৰ প্রার্থনা অনুসাৰে যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকক অন্ধ কৰিলে।
19 Then Elisha told the Arameans, “This is not the way, neither is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you are looking for.” Then he led them to Samaria.
১৯পাছত ইলীচাই অৰামীয়াসকলক ক’লে, “এইটো সেই বাট নহয় আৰু সেই নগৰো নহয়। আপোনালোক মোৰ পাছে পাছে আহঁক, আপোনালোকে যাক বিচাৰিছে, মই সেই মানুহৰ ওচৰলৈ আপোনালোকক লৈ যাম।” এইবুলি তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক চমৰিয়ালৈ লৈ গ’ল।
20 It came about that when they had come into Samaria, Elisha said, “Yahweh, open the eyes of these men that they may see.” Yahweh opened their eyes and they saw, and behold, they were in the middle of the city of Samaria.
২০চমৰিয়া আহি পোৱাৰ পাছত ইলীচাই ক’লে, “হে যিহোৱা, এই লোকসকলৰ চকু মুকলি কৰি দিয়ক যেন তেওঁলোকে দেখা পায়।” তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকৰ চকু মুকলি কৰি দিয়াত তেওঁলোকে দেখা পালে; তাতে তেওঁলোকে দেখিলে যে, তেওঁলোক চমৰীয়াৰ মাজত আছে।
21 The king of Israel said to Elisha, when he saw them, “My father, should I kill them? Should I kill them?”
২১অৰামীয়াসকলক দেখা পাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাই ইলীচাক সুধিলে, “হে মোৰ পিতৃ, মই তেওঁলোকক বধ কৰিম নে? মই মাৰিম নে?”
22 Elisha answered, “You must not kill them. Would you kill those whom you had taken captive with your sword and bow? Put bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.”
২২ইলীচাই উত্তৰ দিলে, “আপুনি তেওঁলোকক বধ নকৰিব। আপুনি আপোনাৰ তৰোৱাল আৰু ধনুৰে যিসকলক বন্দী কৰি আনিলে, সেই লোকসকলক জানো আপুনি বধ কৰিব? তেওঁলোকৰ আগত পিঠা আৰু পানী দিয়ক, যাতে তেওঁলোকে খাই বৈ তেওঁলোকৰ প্ৰভুৰ ওচৰলৈ ঘূৰি যাব পাৰে।”
23 So the king prepared much food for them, and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went back to their master. Those bands of Aramean soldiers did not return for a long time into the land of Israel.
২৩তেতিয়া ৰজাই তেওঁলোকৰ বাবে বৰ ভোজৰ আয়োজন কৰিলে; তেওঁলোকে খোৱা-বোৱা শেষ কৰাৰ পাছত ৰজাই তেওঁলোকক বিদায় দিয়াত তেওঁলোক তেওঁলোকৰ প্ৰভুৰ ওচৰলৈ উলটি গ’ল। পাছত অৰামীয়াৰ সেই সৈন্যদল বহুদিন ধৰি ইস্ৰায়েল দেশলৈ পুনৰ অহা নাছিল।
24 Later after this Ben Hadad king of Aram gathered all his army and attacked Samaria and besieged it.
২৪ইয়াৰ কিছু কালৰ পাছত অৰামৰ ৰজা বিন-হদদে নিজৰ সকলো সৈন্যসামন্তক একগোট কৰি চমৰিয়া নগৰ অৱৰোধ কৰি আক্রমণ কৰিবলৈ আহিল।
25 So there was a great famine in Samaria. Behold, they besieged it until a donkey's head was sold for eighty pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a kab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.
২৫সেয়ে চমৰিয়াত ভীষণ আকাল হ’ল; তেওঁলোকে নগৰখন এনেকৈ অৱৰোধ কৰি ৰাখিছিল যে খাবলৈ শেষত এটা গাধৰ মূৰ পর্যন্ত আশীটা ৰূপৰ মুদ্রাত আৰু এনেকি এক ‘কাব’ জোখৰ কপৌৰ বিষ্ঠাও পাঁচটা ৰূপৰ মুদ্রাত বিক্রী হৈছিল।
26 As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, saying, “Help, my master, king.”
২৬ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাই এদিন নগৰৰ দেৱালৰ ওপৰেদি অহা-যোৱা কৰি আছিল; এনে সময়তে এগৰাকী মহিলাই তেওঁক চিঞঁৰি চিঞঁৰি ক’লে, “সহায় কৰক, হে মোৰ প্ৰভু, মহাৰাজ।”
27 He said, “If Yahweh does not help you, how can I help you? Is there anything coming from the threshing floor or winepress?”
২৭ৰজাই ক’লে, “যিহোৱাই যদি সহায় নকৰে, তেন্তে মই ক’ৰ পৰা তোমাক সহায় কৰিব পাৰোঁ? মৰণা মৰা খলাৰ পৰা নে দ্ৰাক্ষাকুণ্ডৰ পৰা?”
28 The king continued, “What is troubling you?” She answered, “This woman said to me, 'Give your son so that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.'”
২৮ৰজাই তাইক পুনৰ সুধিলে, “তোমাৰ কি সমস্যা?” তাই উত্তৰ দিলে, “এই মহিলাই কৈছিল, ‘আজি আমি খাবলৈ তোমাৰ ল’ৰাটোক দিয়া; অহাকালি আমি মোৰ ল’ৰাটোক খাম।’”
29 So we boiled my son and ate him, and I said to her on the next day, “Give your son that we may eat him, but she has hidden her son.”
২৯সেইদৰেই আমি মোৰ ল’ৰাটোক সিজাই খালোঁ; পাছদিনা মই তাইক ক’লোঁ, “তোমাৰ ল’ৰাটোক দিয়া আৰু আমি তাক খাওঁ; কিন্তু, তাই নিজৰ ল’ৰাটোক লুকুৱাই ৰাখিলে।”
30 So when the king heard the words of the woman, he tore his clothes (now he was passing by on the wall), and the people looked and saw that he had sackcloth underneath, against his skin.
৩০মহিলাগৰাকীৰ এই কথা শুনি ৰজাই নিজৰ কাপোৰ ফালিলে; তেওঁ তেতিয়াও দেৱালৰ ওপৰতে ফুৰি আছিল। তাতে লোকসকলে চাই দেখিলে যে নিজৰ পিন্ধা কাপোৰৰ তলত ৰজাই চট কাপোৰ পিন্ধি আছে।
31 Then he said, “May God do so to me, and more also, if the head of Elisha son of Shaphat remains on him today.”
৩১পাছত তেওঁ ক’লে, “আজি চাফটৰ পুতেক ইলীচাৰ মূৰ যদি তেওঁৰ কান্ধৰ ওপৰত থাকে, তেন্তে ঈশ্বৰে যেন মোক দণ্ড দিয়ে, আৰু সেয়া অধিকৰূপেই দিয়ক।”
32 But Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him. The king sent a man from before him, but when the messenger came to Elisha, he said to the elders, “See how this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? Look, when the messenger comes, shut the door, and hold the door shut against him. Is not the sound of his master's feet behind him?”
৩২ইলীচা সেই সময়ত নিজৰ ঘৰত বহি আছিল আৰু তেওঁৰ লগত বৃদ্ধ নেতাসকলো আছিল। ৰজাই এজন মানুহক ইলীচাৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠালে। কিন্তু মানুহজন যেতিয়া ইলীচাৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিছিল, তেওঁ বৃদ্ধ লোকসকলক ক’লে, ‘আপোনালোকে দেখা নাইনে কেনেকৈ সেই নৰবধীৰ পুতেকে মোৰ মূৰ নিবলৈ এজন লোকক পঠাইছে? শুনক, মানুহজন যেতিয়া আহিব, আপোনালোকে দুৱাৰখন বন্ধ কৰি দিব আৰু তেওঁৰ বিৰুদ্ধে দুৱাৰখন বন্ধ কৰি ধৰি ৰাখিব; তেওঁৰ পাছে পাছে জানো তেওঁৰ প্ৰভুৰ ভৰিৰ শব্দও নহয়?
33 While he was still talking with them, behold, the messenger came down to him. The king had said, “Behold, this trouble comes from Yahweh. Why should I wait for Yahweh any longer?”
৩৩ইলীচাই তেওঁলোকৰ সৈতে কথা কৈ থাকোতেই, সেই মানুহজন তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ নামি আহিল। পাছত ৰজাই আহি ক’লে, “চাওঁক, এই বিপদ যিহোৱাৰ পৰা আহিছে। তেন্তে যিহোৱাৰ কাৰণে মই আৰু কিয় বাট চাই থাকিম?”
