2 Kings 15

1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign.

در بیست و هفتمین سال سلطنت یربعام دوم پادشاه اسرائیل، عُزیا (پسر اَمَصیا) پادشاه یهودا شد.

2 Azariah was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jekoliah, and she was from Jerusalem.

او شانزده ساله بود که بر تخت سلطنت نشست و پنجاه و دو سال در اورشلیم سلطنت کرد. (مادرش یکلیا نام داشت و از اهالی اورشلیم بود.)

3 He did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh, just as his father Amaziah had done.

او مانند پدرش اَمَصیا آنچه در نظر خداوند پسندیده بود، انجام می‌داد.

4 However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense at the high places.

ولی باز بتخانه‌های روی تپه‌ها که مردم در آنجا قربانی می‌کردند و بخور می‌سوزانیدند، باقی ماند.

5 Yahweh afflicted the king so that he was a leper to the day of his death and lived in a separate house. Jotham, the king's son, was over the household and ruled the people of the land.

خداوند او را به مرض جذام مبتلا کرد و تا روز وفاتش جذامی باقی ماند. او تنها، در یک خانه به سر می‌برد و پسرش یوتام امور مملکت را اداره می‌کرد.

6 As for the other matters concerning Azariah, all that he did, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Judah?

شرح بقیهٔ رویدادهای دوران سلطنت عزیا و کارهای او در کتاب «تاریخ پادشاهان یهودا» نوشته شده است.

7 So Azariah slept with his ancestors; they buried him with his ancestors in the city of David. Jotham, his son, became king in his place.

وقتی عزیا مرد او را در آرامگاه سلطنتی در شهر داوود دفن کردند و پسرش یوتام به جایش پادشاه شد.

8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria for six months.

در سی و هشتمین سال سلطنت عزیا پادشاه یهودا، زکریا (پسر یربعام دوم) پادشاه اسرائیل شد و شش ماه در سامره سلطنت نمود.

9 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh, as his fathers had done. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.

او نیز مانند اجدادش نسبت به خداوند گناه ورزید و از گناهان یربعام اول (پسر نباط) که اسرائیل را به گناه کشاند، دست برنداشت.

10 Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah, attacked him in Ibleam, and killed him. Then he became king in his place.

شلوم (پسر یابیش) بر ضد او توطئه کرد و او را در حضور مردم کشت و خود به سلطنت رسید.

11 As for the other matters concerning Zechariah, they are written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel.

شرح بقیهٔ رویدادهای دوران سلطنت زکریا در کتاب «تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل» آمده است.

12 This was the word of Yahweh that he spoke to Jehu, saying, “Your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” That is what happened.

به این ترتیب، آنچه که خداوند دربارهٔ ییهو فرموده بود، به وقوع پیوست که خاندان او تا نسل چهارم بر تخت سلطنت اسرائیل خواهند نشست.

13 Shallum son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, and he reigned only one month in Samaria.

در سی و نهمین سال سلطنت عزیا پادشاه یهودا، شلوم (پسر یابیش) پادشاه اسرائیل شد و یک ماه در سامره سلطنت کرد.

14 Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria. There he attacked Shallum son of Jabesh, in Samaria. He killed him and became king in his place.

منحیم (پسر جادی) از ترصه به سامره آمده، او را کشت و خود به جای وی بر تخت سلطنت نشست.

15 As for the other matters concerning Shallum and the conspiracy that he formed, they are written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel.

شرح بقیهٔ رویدادهای سلطنت شلوم و توطئهٔ او در کتاب «تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل» نوشته شده است.

16 Then Menahem attacked Tiphsah and all who were there, and the borders around Tirzah, because they did not open up the city to him. So he attacked it, and he ripped open all the pregnant women in that village.

منحیم شهر تفصح و حومهٔ آن را ویران نموده، اهالی آنجا را کشت و شکم زنان حامله را پاره کرد، چون مردم آنجا حاضر نبودند تسلیم او شوند.

17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi began to reign over Israel; he reigned ten years in Samaria.

در سی و نهمین سال سلطنت عزیا پادشاه یهودا، منحیم (پسر جادی) پادشاه اسرائیل شد و ده سال در سامره سلطنت کرد.

18 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh. For his whole life, he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.

او نیز مانند یربعام (پسر نباط) نسبت به خداوند گناه ورزید و اسرائیل را به گناه کشاند.

19 Then Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, so that Pul's support might be with him to strengthen the kingdom of Israel in his hand.

در زمان او تغلت فلاسر، پادشاه آشور به سرزمین اسرائیل هجوم آورد، ولی منحیم پادشاه سی و چهار تن نقره به او باج داد و به کمک وی سلطنت خود را بر اسرائیل تثبیت نمود.

20 Menahem exacted this money from Israel by requiring each of the wealthy men to pay fifty shekels of silver to him to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back and did not stay there in the land.

منحیم این پول را به شکل مالیات به زور از ثروتمندان وصول نمود. هر یک از آنها پنجاه مثقال نقره پرداختند. پس پادشاه آشور به سرزمین خود بازگشت.

21 As for the other matters concerning Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel?

شرح بقیهٔ رویدادهای دوران سلطنت منحیم و کارهای او در کتاب تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل نوشته شده است.

22 So Menahem slept with his ancestors, and Pekahiah his son became king in his place.

بعد از مرگ او پسرش فقحیا پادشاه شد.

23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria; he reigned two years.

در پنجاهمین سال سلطنت عزیا پادشاه یهودا، فقحیا (پسر منحیم) پادشاه اسرائیل شد و دو سال در سامره سلطنت نمود،

24 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh. He did not leave behind the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, by which he had caused Israel to sin.

او نیز مانند یربعام (پسر نباط) نسبت به خداوند گناه ورزید و اسرائیل را به گناه کشاند.

25 Pekahiah had an officer named Pekah son of Remaliah, who conspired against him. Along with fifty men of Gilead, Pekah killed Pekahiah as well as Argob and Arieh in Samaria, in the citadel of the king's palace. Pekah killed Pekahiah and became king in his place.

فقح (پسر رملیا)، یکی از فرماندهان سپاه او، همراه پنجاه نفر دیگر از مردان جلعاد بر ضد او شورش کرد و او را در کاخ سلطنتی سامره کشت. (ارجوب و اریه نیز در این شورش کشته شدند.) سپس فقح به جای او پادشاه شد.

26 As for the other matters concerning Pekahiah, all that he did, they are written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel.

شرح بقیهٔ رویدادهای دوران سلطنت فقحیا و کارهای او در کتاب «تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل» نوشته شده است.

27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria; he reigned twenty years.

در پنجاه و دومین سال سلطنت عزیا پادشاه یهودا، فقح (پسر رملیا) پادشاه اسرائیل شد و بیست سال در سامره سلطنت کرد.

28 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.

او نیز مانند یربعام (پسر نباط) نسبت به خداوند گناه ورزید و اسرائیل را به گناه کشاند.

29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, Galilee, and all the land of Naphtali. He carried away the people to Assyria.

در دورهٔ سلطنت فقح بود که تغلت فلاسر، پادشاه آشور به اسرائیل حمله کرد و شهرهای عیون، آبل بیت‌معکه، یانوح، قادش، حاصور، جلعاد، جلیل و تمام سرزمین نفتالی را به تصرف خود درآورد و مردم را اسیر نموده، به آشور برد.

30 So Hoshea son of Elah formed a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah. He attacked him and killed him. Then he became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.

آنگاه هوشع (پسر ایله) بر ضد فقح شورش کرد و او را کشت و خود بر تخت سلطنت نشست. هوشع در سال بیستم سلطنت یوتام (پسر عزیا) پادشاه یهودا، سلطنت خود را آغاز نمود.

31 As for the other matters concerning Pekah, all that he did, they are written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel.

شرح بقیهٔ رویدادهای دوران سلطنت فقح و کارهای او در کتاب «تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل» نوشته شده است.

32 In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham son of Azariah, king of Judah began to reign.

در دومین سال سلطنت فقح پادشاه اسرائیل، یوتام (پسر عزیا) پادشاه یهودا شد.

33 He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah; she was the daughter of Zadok.

یوتام در سن بیست و پنج سالگی بر تخت سلطنت نشست و شانزده سال در اورشلیم سلطنت نمود. (مادرش یروشا نام داشت و دختر صادوق بود).

34 Jotham did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh. He followed the example of all his father Azariah had done.

او مانند پدرش عزیا آنچه در نظر خداوند پسندیده بود، انجام می‌داد،

35 However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense at the high places. Jotham built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh.

ولی بتخانه‌های روی تپه‌ها را که مردم در آنجا قربانی می‌کردند و بخور می‌سوزانیدند، خراب نکرد. یوتام دروازهٔ بالایی خانهٔ خداوند را بازسازی کرد.

36 As for the other matters concerning Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Judah?

شرح بقیهٔ رویدادهای دوران سلطنت یوتام و کارهای او در کتاب «تاریخ پادشاهان یهودا» نوشته شده است.

37 In those days Yahweh began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah son of Remaliah.

(در آن روزها خداوند، رصین پادشاه سوریه و فقح پادشاه اسرائیل را بر ضد یهودا برانگیخت.)

38 Jotham slept with his ancestors and was buried with his ancestors in the city of David, his ancestor. Then Ahaz, his son, became king in his place.

یوتام مرد و او را در کنار اجدادش در شهر داوود دفن کردند و پسرش آحاز به جای او پادشاه شد.
