2 Kings 15
1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign.
イスラエルの王ヤラベアムの第二十七年に、ユダの王アマジヤの子アザリヤが王となった。
2 Azariah was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jekoliah, and she was from Jerusalem.
彼が王となった時は十六歳で、五十二年の間エルサレムで世を治めた。その母はエルサレムの出身で、名をエコリアといった。
3 He did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh, just as his father Amaziah had done.
彼は主の目にかなう事を行い、すべての事を父アマジヤが行ったようにおこなった。
4 However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense at the high places.
ただし高き所は除かなかったので、民はなおその高き所で犠牲をささげ、香をたいた。
5 Yahweh afflicted the king so that he was a leper to the day of his death and lived in a separate house. Jotham, the king's son, was over the household and ruled the people of the land.
主が王を撃たれたので、その死ぬ日まで、らい病人となって、離れ家に住んだ。王の子ヨタムが家の事を管理し、国の民をさばいた。
6 As for the other matters concerning Azariah, all that he did, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Judah?
アザリヤのその他の事績と、彼がしたすべての事は、ユダの王の歴代志の書にしるされているではないか。
7 So Azariah slept with his ancestors; they buried him with his ancestors in the city of David. Jotham, his son, became king in his place.
アザリヤはその先祖たちと共に眠ったので、彼をダビデの町にその先祖たちと共に葬った。その子ヨタムが代って王となった。
8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria for six months.
ユダの王アザリヤの第三十八年にヤラベアムの子ゼカリヤがサマリヤでイスラエルの王となり、六か月世を治めた。
9 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh, as his fathers had done. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.
彼はその先祖たちがおこなったように主の目の前に悪を行い、イスラエルに罪を犯させたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を離れなかった。
10 Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah, attacked him in Ibleam, and killed him. Then he became king in his place.
ヤベシの子シャルムが徒党を結んで彼に敵し、イブレアムで彼を撃ち殺し、彼に代って王となった。
11 As for the other matters concerning Zechariah, they are written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel.
ゼカリヤのその他の事績は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。
12 This was the word of Yahweh that he spoke to Jehu, saying, “Your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” That is what happened.
主はかつてエヒウに、「あなたの子孫は四代までイスラエルの位に座するであろう」と告げられたが、はたしてそのとおりになった。
13 Shallum son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, and he reigned only one month in Samaria.
ヤベシの子シャルムはユダの王ウジヤの第三十九年に王となり、サマリヤで一か月世を治めた。
14 Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria. There he attacked Shallum son of Jabesh, in Samaria. He killed him and became king in his place.
時にガデの子メナヘムがテルザからサマリヤに上ってきて、ヤベシの子シャルムをサマリヤで撃ち殺し、彼に代って王となった。
15 As for the other matters concerning Shallum and the conspiracy that he formed, they are written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel.
シャルムのその他の事績と、彼が徒党を結んだ事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。
16 Then Menahem attacked Tiphsah and all who were there, and the borders around Tirzah, because they did not open up the city to him. So he attacked it, and he ripped open all the pregnant women in that village.
その時メナヘムはテルザから進んでいって、タップアと、そのうちにいるすべての者、およびその領域を撃った。すなわち彼らが彼のために開かなかったので、これを撃って、そのうちの妊娠の女をことごとく引き裂いた。
17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi began to reign over Israel; he reigned ten years in Samaria.
ユダの王アザリヤの第三十九年に、ガデの子メナヘムはイスラエルの王となり、サマリヤで十年の間、世を治めた。
18 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh. For his whole life, he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.
彼は主の目の前に悪を行い、イスラエルに罪を犯させたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を一生の間、離れなかった。
19 Then Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, so that Pul's support might be with him to strengthen the kingdom of Israel in his hand.
時にアッスリヤの王プルが国に攻めてきたので、メナヘムは銀一千タラントをプルに与えた。これは彼がプルの助けを得て、国を自分の手のうちに強くするためであった。
20 Menahem exacted this money from Israel by requiring each of the wealthy men to pay fifty shekels of silver to him to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back and did not stay there in the land.
すなわちメナヘムはその銀をイスラエルのすべての富める者に課し、その人々におのおの銀五十シケルを出させてアッスリヤの王に与えた。こうしてアッスリヤの王は国にとどまらないで帰っていった。
21 As for the other matters concerning Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel?
メナヘムのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされているではないか。
22 So Menahem slept with his ancestors, and Pekahiah his son became king in his place.
メナヘムは先祖たちと共に眠り、その子ペカヒヤが代って王となった。
23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria; he reigned two years.
メナヘムの子ペカヒヤはユダの王アザリヤの第五十年に、サマリヤでイスラエルの王となり、二年の間、世を治めた。
24 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh. He did not leave behind the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, by which he had caused Israel to sin.
彼は主の目の前に悪を行い、イスラエルに罪を犯せたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を離れなかった。
25 Pekahiah had an officer named Pekah son of Remaliah, who conspired against him. Along with fifty men of Gilead, Pekah killed Pekahiah as well as Argob and Arieh in Samaria, in the citadel of the king's palace. Pekah killed Pekahiah and became king in his place.
時に彼の副官であったレマリヤのペカが、ギレアデびと五十人と共に徒党を結んで彼に敵し、サマリヤの、王の宮殿の天守で彼を撃ち殺した。すなわちペカは彼を殺し、彼に代って王となった。
26 As for the other matters concerning Pekahiah, all that he did, they are written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel.
ペカヒヤのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。
27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria; he reigned twenty years.
レマリヤの子ペカはユダの王アザリヤの第五十二年に、サマリヤでイスラエルの王となり、二十年の間、世を治めた。
28 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.
彼は主の目の前に悪をおこない、イスラエルに罪を犯させたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を離れなかった。
29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, Galilee, and all the land of Naphtali. He carried away the people to Assyria.
イスラエルの王ペカの世に、アッスリヤの王テグラテピレセルが来て、イヨン、アベル・ベテマアカ、ヤノア、ケデシ、ハゾル、ギレアデ、ガリラヤ、ナフタリの全地を取り、人々をアッスリヤへ捕え移した。
30 So Hoshea son of Elah formed a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah. He attacked him and killed him. Then he became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.
時にエラの子ホセアは徒党を結んで、レマリヤの子ペカに敵し、彼を撃ち殺し、彼に代って王となった。これはウジヤの子ヨタムの第二十年であった。
31 As for the other matters concerning Pekah, all that he did, they are written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel.
ペカのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。
32 In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham son of Azariah, king of Judah began to reign.
レマリヤの子イスラエルの王ペカの第二年に、ユダの王ウジヤの子ヨタムが王となった。
33 He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah; she was the daughter of Zadok.
彼は王となった時二十五歳であったが、エルサレムで十六年の間、世を治めた。母はザドクの娘で、名をエルシャといった。
34 Jotham did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh. He followed the example of all his father Azariah had done.
彼は主の目にかなう事を行い、すべて父ウジヤの行ったようにおこなった。
35 However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense at the high places. Jotham built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh.
ただし高き所は除かなかったので、民はなおその高き所で犠牲をささげ、香をたいた。彼は主の宮の上の門を建てた。
36 As for the other matters concerning Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Judah?
ヨタムのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、ユダの王の歴代志の書にしるされているではないか。
37 In those days Yahweh began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah son of Remaliah.
そのころ、主はスリヤの王レヂンとレマリヤの子ペカをユダに攻めこさせられた。
38 Jotham slept with his ancestors and was buried with his ancestors in the city of David, his ancestor. Then Ahaz, his son, became king in his place.
ヨタムは先祖たちと共に眠って、その先祖ダビデの町に先祖たちと共に葬られ、その子アハズが代って王となった。
