< 2 Corinthians 6 >
1 Working together with him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain.
Gẹ́gẹ́ bí alábáṣiṣẹ́pọ̀ nínú Ọlọ́run, ǹjẹ́, àwa ń rọ̀ yín kí ẹ má ṣe gba oore-ọ̀fẹ́ Ọlọ́run lásán.
2 For he says, “In a favorable time I paid attention to you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Look, now is the favorable time. Look, now is the day of salvation.
Nítorí o wí pé, “Ní àkókò ìtẹ́wọ́gbà mi, èmi tí gbọ́ ohùn rẹ, àti ọjọ́ ìgbàlà, èmi sì ti ràn ọ́ lọ́wọ́.” Èmi wí fún ọ, nísinsin yìí ní àkókò ìtẹ́wọ́gbà, nísinsin yìí ni ọjọ́ ìgbàlà.
3 We do not place a stumbling block in front of anyone, for we do not wish our ministry to be discredited.
Àwa kò sì gbé ohun ìkọ̀sẹ̀ kankan si ọ̀nà ẹnikẹ́ni, ki iṣẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ wa má ṣe di ìsọ̀rọ̀-òdì sí.
4 Instead, we prove ourselves by all our actions, that we are God's servants. We are his servants in much endurance, affliction, distress, hardship,
Ṣùgbọ́n dípò bẹ́ẹ̀, ni ọnà gbogbo, àwa ń fi ara wa hàn bí àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Ọlọ́run nínú ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ sùúrù, nínú ìpọ́njú, nínú àìní, nínú wàhálà,
5 beatings, imprisonments, riots, in hard work, in sleepless nights, in hunger,
nípa nínà, nínú túbú, nínú ìrúkèrúdò, nínú iṣẹ́ àṣekára, nínú àìsàn, nínú ìgbààwẹ̀.
6 in purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love.
Nínú ìwà mímọ́, nínú ìmọ̀, nínú ìpamọ́ra, nínú ìṣeun, nínú Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́, nínú ìfẹ́ àìṣẹ̀tàn.
7 We are his servants in the word of truth, in the power of God. We have the armor of righteousness for the right hand and for the left.
Nínú ọ̀rọ̀ òtítọ́, nínú agbára Ọlọ́run, nínú ìhámọ́ra òdodo ní apá ọ̀tún àti ní apá òsì.
8 We work in honor and dishonor, in slander and praise. We are accused of being deceitful and yet we are truthful.
Nípa ọlá àti ẹ̀gàn, nípa ìyìn búburú àti ìyìnrere: bí ẹlẹ́tàn, ṣùgbọ́n a jásí olóòtítọ́,
9 We work as if we were unknown and we are still well known. We work as dying and—see!—we are still living. We work as being punished for our actions but not as condemned to death.
bí ẹni tí a kò mọ̀, ṣùgbọ́n a mọ̀ wá dájúdájú; bí ẹni tí ń kú lọ, ṣùgbọ́n a ṣì wà láààyè; bí ẹni tí a nà, ṣùgbọ́n a kò sì pa wá,
10 We work as sorrowful, but we are always rejoicing. We work as poor, but we are making many rich. We work as having nothing and yet as possessing all things.
bí ẹni tí ó kún fún ìbànújẹ́, ṣùgbọ́n àwa ń yọ̀ nígbà gbogbo; bí tálákà, ṣùgbọ́n àwa ń sọ ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ dí ọlọ́rọ̀; bí ẹni tí kò ní nǹkan, ṣùgbọ́n àwa ni ohun gbogbo.
11 We have spoken the whole truth to you, Corinthians, and our heart is wide open.
Ẹ̀yin ará Kọrinti, a ti bá yín sọ òtítọ́ ọ̀rọ̀, a ṣí ọkàn wa páyà sí yín.
12 You are not restrained by us, but you are restrained in your own hearts.
Àwa kò fa ìfẹ́ wa sẹ́yìn fún yín, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin fa ìfẹ́ yín sẹ́yìn kúrò lọ́dọ̀ wa.
13 Now in fair exchange—I speak as to children—open yourselves wide also.
Ní sísán padà, ní ọ̀nà tí ó dára, èmi ń sọ bí ẹni pé fún àwọn ọmọdé, ẹ̀yin náà ẹ ṣí ọkàn yín páyà pẹ̀lú.
14 Do not be tied together with unbelievers. For what association does righteousness have with lawlessness? For what fellowship does light have with darkness?
Ẹ má ṣe fi àìdọ́gba dàpọ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn aláìgbàgbọ́, nítorí ìdàpọ̀ kín ni òdodo ní pẹ̀lú àìṣòdodo? Ìdàpọ̀ kín ni ìmọ́lẹ̀ sì ní pẹ̀lú òkùnkùn?
15 What agreement can Christ have with Beliar? Or what share does a believer have together with an unbeliever?
Ìrẹ́pọ̀ kín ni Kristi ní pẹ̀lú Beliali? Tàbí ìpín wó ni ẹni tí ó gbàgbọ́ ní pẹ̀lú aláìgbàgbọ́?
16 And what agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said: “I will dwell among them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
Ìrẹ́pọ̀ kín ni tẹmpili Ọlọ́run ní pẹ̀lú òrìṣà? Nítorí ẹ̀yin ní tẹmpili Ọlọ́run alààyè; gẹ́gẹ́ bí Ọlọ́run ti wí pé: “Èmi á gbé inú wọn, èmi o sì máa rìn láàrín wọn, èmi ó sì jẹ́ Ọlọ́run wọn, wọn yóò sì jẹ́ ènìyàn mi.”
17 Therefore, “Come out from among them, and be set apart,” says the Lord. “Touch no unclean thing, and I will welcome you.
Nítorí náà, “Ẹ jáde kúrò láàrín wọn, kí ẹ sì yá ara yín si ọ̀tọ̀, ni Olúwa wí. Ki ẹ má ṣe fi ọwọ́ kan ohun àìmọ́; Èmi ó sì gbà yín.”
18 I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty.
Àti, “Èmi o sì jẹ́ Baba fún yín. Ẹ̀yin ó sì jẹ́ ọmọkùnrin mi àti ọmọbìnrin mi, ní Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.”
