2 Chronicles 33
1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
[默納舍崇拜偶像]默納舍登極時年十二歲，在耶路撒冷作王凡五十五年。
2 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh, like the disgusting things of the nations whom Yahweh had driven out before the people of Israel.
他行了上主視為惡的事，仿傚上主從以色列子民前驅逐的異民所行的可恥之事。
3 For he rebuilt the high places that his father Hezekiah had torn down, and he built altars for the Baals, he made Asherah poles, and he bowed down to all the stars of heaven and worshiped them.
他重建了他父親希則克雅所拆毀的高丘，又為巴耳建立了祭壇，製造阿舍辣，叩拜奉事天上的萬象。
4 Manasseh built altars in the house of Yahweh, although Yahweh had commanded, “It is in Jerusalem that my name will be forever.”
雖然上主曾指著聖殿說過：「我要將我的名永遠立在耶路撒冷，」他仍在上主殿內建立了一些祭壇；
5 He built altars for all the stars of heaven in the two courtyards of the house of Yahweh.
且在上主殿的兩庭院內，為天上萬象建立了一些祭壇；
6 In the Valley of Ben Hinnom he caused his sons to pass through the fire. He practiced sorcery, divination and he read omens, and he consulted with those who talked with the dead and with those who talked with spirits. Manasseh did much evil in the sight of Yahweh, and he provoked him to anger.
使自己的兒子在本希農山谷中經火，行占卜，邪術，立招魂師和術士；不斷行上主視為惡的事，惹上主發怒。
7 The carved figure he had made, he placed it in the house of God. It was about this house that God had spoken to David and Solomon his son; he had said, “It is in this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, that I will put my name forever.
他又在天主殿內立了他所彫製的偶像；雖然論及這殿天主曾對達味和他的兒子撒羅滿說過：「我要在這殿內，和在我由以色列各支派所選出的耶路撒冷城，立我的名，直到永遠。
8 I will not move the people of Israel any more out of the land that I assigned to their ancestors, if they will only be careful to keep all that I have commanded them, following all the law, statutes, and decrees which I gave them through Moses.”
只要以色列人遵行我藉梅瑟所吩咐他們的一切法律、典章和律例，我不再使他們的腳，離開我賜予你們祖先的土地。」
9 Manasseh led Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do evil even more than the nations that Yahweh had destroyed before the people of Israel.
但默納舍誘惑猶大和耶路撒冷的居民行惡，甚至上主由以色列子民前所消滅的那些民族。[默納舍受罰改過]
10 Yahweh spoke to Manasseh, and to his people, but they paid no attention.
為此，上主曾警告莫舍納和他的百姓，但是他們不肯聽從。
11 So Yahweh brought on them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, bound him with fetters, and took him off to Babylon.
因此，上主使亞述王的將官前來攻打他們，用鉤子勾住默納舍，用鎖鏈鎖住，解送到巴比倫。
12 When Manasseh was in distress, he implored Yahweh, his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors.
默納舍在這患難中，呼求了上主他的天主，在他祖先的天主前，大發謙卑，
13 He prayed to him; and God was begged by him, and God heard his begging and brought him back to Jerusalem, into his kingship. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God.
哀懇上主，上主便俯允了他的祈求，垂聽了他的哀禱，使他歸回耶路撒冷，恢復了他的王位；默納舍這才知道只有上主是天主。[掃除偶像]
14 After this, Manasseh built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, to the entrance at the Fish Gate. He surrounded the hill of Ophel with it and raised the wall up to a very great height. He put courageous commanders in all the fortified cities of Judah.
此後，默納舍在達味城外另築了一道城牆，西邊由谷內的基紅起，直到魚門，將敖斐耳圍起，且將城牆加建的很高；在猶大各堅城內派有將帥駐守。
15 He took away the foreign gods, the idol out of the house of Yahweh, and all the altars that he had built on the mount of the house of Yahweh and in Jerusalem, and threw them out of the city.
又從上主殿內除去了外神和偶像，將他在上主殿的山上和耶路撒冷所建立的祭壇，都一律拆毀，拋在城外，
16 He rebuilt the altar of Yahweh and offered on it sacrifices of fellowship offerings and thank offerings; he commanded Judah to serve Yahweh, the God of Israel.
重修了上主的祭壇，在上面獻和平祭和感恩祭，命令猶大人只奉事上主以色列的天主。
17 However, the people still sacrificed at the high places, but only to Yahweh, their God.
但是民眾仍然在高丘獻祭，不過只巷上主天主獻祭。[默納舍逝世]
18 As to the other matters concerning Manasseh, his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, behold, they are written among the deeds of the kings of Israel.
默納舍其餘的事蹟，以及他巷天主所發的禱詞，並諸先見者奉上主，以色列天主的名對他所說的話，都記載在以色列列王實錄上。
19 In that account there is history of his prayer, and how God was moved by it. There is also an account of all his sin and his trespasses, and the places where he had built high places and set up the Asherah poles and the carved figures, before he humbled himself—they are written about in the Chronicles of the Seers.
他如何祈禱和上主如何應允，他未自卑以前的一切罪惡和不忠，以及他在何處建立高丘，立阿舍辣和彫刻的偶像等事，都記載在諸先見者的言行錄上。
20 So Manasseh slept with his ancestors, and they buried him in his own house. Amon, his son, became king in his place.
默納舍與他的祖先同眠，葬在他王宮的花園裏；他的兒子阿孟繼位為王。[阿孟登極]
21 Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign; he reigned two years in Jerusalem.
阿孟登極時年二十二歲，在耶路撒冷作王二年。
22 He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh, as Manasseh, his father, had done. Amon sacrificed to all the carved figures that Manasseh his father had made, and he worshiped them.
他行了上主視為惡的事，全如同他父親默納舍；向他父親默納舍所彫刻的一切偶像獻祭膜拜，
23 He did not humble himself before Yahweh, as Manasseh his father had done. Instead, this same Amon trespassed more and more.
從沒有像他父親默納舍在上主面前自謙自卑過；阿孟只知罪上加罪。
24 His servants conspired against him and put him to death in his own house.
為此，他的臣僕共謀造反，在宮中將他殺死。
25 But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and they made Josiah, his son, king in his place.
當地的人民卻將所有反叛阿孟王的人都殺了，立他的兒子約史雅繼位為王。
