2 Chronicles 28
1 Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. He did not do what was right in the eyes of Yahweh, as David his ancestor had done.
आहाजले राज्य गर्न सुरु गर्दा तिनी बिस वर्षका थिए, र तिनले यरूशलेममा सोह्र वर्ष राज्य गरे । तिनले आफ्ना पुर्खा दाऊदले गरेझैं परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा जे असल थियो सो गरेनन् ।
2 Instead, he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel; he also made cast metal figures for the Baals.
बरू, तिनी पनि इस्राएलका राजाहरूका चालमा हिंडे । तिनले बाल देवताहरूका निम्ति ढलौटे मूर्तिहरू बनाए ।
3 In addition, he burned incense in the Valley of Ben Hinnom and he caused his children to pass through the fire, according to the idolatrous practices of the people that Yahweh forced out of their land before the people of Israel.
यसको साथै तिनले बेन-हिन्नोमको बेसीमा बलिदानहरू पनि चढाए र इस्राएलको सामुन्नेबाट परमप्रभुले देशबाट निकाल्नुभएको मानिसहरूका मूर्ति पुजाका घिनलाग्दा चालमा हिंडेर तिनले आफ्ना छोराछोरीलाई आगोबाट हिंड्न लगाए ।
4 He sacrificed and burned incense at the high places and on the hills and under every green tree.
तिनले अल्गा ठाउँहरू र डाँडाका टाकुराहरू र हरेक हरिया रुखमुनि बलिदानहरू चढाए र धूप बाले ।
5 Therefore Yahweh the God of Ahaz gave him into the hand of the king of Aram. The Arameans defeated him and carried away from him a great crowd of prisoners, bringing them to Damascus. Ahaz was also given into the hand of the king of Israel who defeated him in a great slaughter.
यसकारण परमप्रभु आहाजका परमेश्वरले तिनलाई अरामका राजाको हातमा सुम्पिदिनुभयो । अरामीहरूले तिनलाई परास्त गरे र तिनका मानिसमध्ये धेरै जनालाई कैद गरेर दमस्कसमा लगे । आहाज इस्राएलका राजाको हातमा पनि परे, र ती राजाले तिनलाई ठुलो संहारका साथ पराजित गरे ।
6 For Pekah son of Remaliah in one day killed 120,000 soldiers in Judah and all of them were powerful men, because they had forsaken Yahweh the God of their ancestors.
रमल्याहका छोरा पेकहले एकै दिनमा यहूदाका एक लाख बिस हजार सिपाहीलाई मारे, र ती सबै जना शक्तिशाली योद्धा थिए, किनभने तिनीहरूले परमप्रभु आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूका परमेश्वरलाई त्यागेका थिए ।
7 Zicri, a powerful man from Ephraim, killed Maaseiah the king's son, Azrikam, the official over the palace, and Elkanah, who was next to the king.
जिक्री नामको एक जना वीर एफ्राइमीले राजाका छोरा मासेयाह र राजाका महलका रेखदेख गर्ने अधिकारी अज्रीकाम र राजापछिका मुख्य व्यक्ति एल्कानालाई मारे ।
8 The army of Israel took captive from their relatives 200,000 wives, sons, and daughters. They also took much plunder, which they carried back to Samaria.
तिनीहरूका आफन्तबाट दुई लाख पत्नीहरू, छोराहरू र छोरीहरूलाई इस्राएलका फौजले कैद गरेर लगे । तिनीहरूले धेरै लूटका मालहरू पनि लगे, जुन तिनीहरूले सामरियामा ल्याए ।
9 But a prophet of Yahweh was there, his name was Oded. He went out to meet the army coming into Samaria. He said to them, “Because Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reached up to heaven.
तर त्यहाँ ओदेद नामका परमप्रभुका एक अगमवक्ता थिए । तिनी सामरियामा फर्किरहेको फौजलाई भेट्न गए । तिनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका परमेश्वर यहूदासँग रिसाउनुभएको हुनाले तिनीहरूलाई तिमीहरूका हातमा उहाँले सुम्पिदिनुभयो । तर तिमीहरूले चाहिं रीसमा तिनीहरूको संहार गर्यौ, जो स्वर्गसम्मै पुग्यो ।
10 Now you intend to keep the men and women of Judah and Jerusalem as your slaves. But are you not guilty of sins of your own against Yahweh your God?
अब तिमीहरू यहूदा र यरूशलेमका पुरुष र स्त्री दुवैलाई दास-दासी बनाउने इच्छा गर्छौ । तर त्यसो गर्दा के तिमीहरू पनि परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरको सामु आफ्नो पापको दोषी हुँदैनौ?
11 Now then, listen to me: Send the prisoners back, those whom you have taken of your own brothers, for Yahweh's fierce wrath is on you.”
यसैले अब मेरा कुरा सुनः आफ्ना दाजुभाइबाट तिमीहरूले कैद गरेर ल्याएकाहरूलाई फर्काइदेओ, किनकि परमप्रभुको डरलाग्दो क्रोध तिमीहरूमाथि छ ।”
12 Then certain leaders of the people of Ephraim—Azariah son of Jehohanan, Berechiah son of Meshillemoth, Jehizkiah son of Shallum, and Amasa son of Hadlai, stood up against those who came back from the war.
तब एफ्राइमका कुनै अगुवाहरू, अर्थात् येहोहानानका छोरा अजर्याह, मशिल्लेमोतका छोरा बेरेक्याह, शल्लूमका छोरा येहिजक्याह र हद्लैका छोरा अमासा युद्धबाट फर्केकाहरूको विरुद्धमा खडा भए ।
13 They said to them, “You must not bring the prisoners here, for you intend something that will bring on us sin against Yahweh, to add to our sins and trespasses, for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.”
तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई भने, “यी कैदीहरूलाई तिमीहरूले यहाँ ल्याउनुहुन्न, किनकि तिमीहरूले जे विचार गरिरहेका छौ त्यसले गर्दा हामीहरूमा परमप्रभुको विरुद्धमा पाप ल्याउनेछ, हाम्रा पाप र दोष थप्नेछ, किनकि हाम्रा दोषहरू ठुला छन् र इस्राएलको विरुद्धमा भयानक क्रोध आइपरेको छ ।”
14 So the armed men left the prisoners and the plunder before the leaders and all the assembly.
यसकारण योद्धाहरूले कैदीहरू र लुटेका मालहरू अगुवाहरू र सबै समुदायका उपस्थितिमा छोडिदिए ।
15 The men who were assigned by name got up and took the prisoners, and clothed all who were naked among them with the plunder. They clothed them and gave them sandals. They gave them food to eat and drink. They treated their wounds and put the weak ones on donkeys. They took them back to their families in Jericho, (called the City of Palms). Then they returned to Samaria.
नाम तोकेर जिम्मेवारी पाएका मानिसहरू खडा भए र कैदीहरूलाई लगेर लुटेका मालबाट सबै नाङ्गा मानिसहरूलाई लुगा दिए । तिनीहरूलाई लुगा लगाइदिए र तिनीहरूलाई र जुत्ता दिए । तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई खान र पानी दिए । तिनीहरूले उनीहरूका घाउहरूको उपचार गरिदिए र कमजोरहरूलाई गधामा चढाए । तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई यरीहोमा (खजूरका रुखहरूको सहरमा ) आफ्ना आफन्तहरूकहाँ लगे । त्यसपछि तिनीहरू सामरिया फर्के ।
16 At that time King Ahaz sent messengers to the kings of Assyria to ask them to help him.
त्यस बेला राजा आहाजले अश्शूरका राजाकहाँ सहायताको निम्ति दूतहरू पठाए ।
17 For once again the Edomites had come and attacked Judah, carrying prisoners away.
किनकि एदोमीहरूले फेरि आक्रमण गर्ने आएका र यहूदालाई जितेर कैदी बनाएर लगेका थिए ।
18 The Philistines also invaded the cities of the lowlands and of the Negev of Judah. They took Beth Shemesh, Aijalon, Gederoth, Soko with its villages, Timnah with its villages, and also Gimzo with its villages. They went to live in those places.
पलिश्तीहरूले पनि पहाड र यहूदाको मैदानका र नेगेवका सहरहरूमा आक्रमण गरे । उनीहरूले बेथशेमेश, अय्यालोन र गदेरोत, अनि सोखो, तिम्ना र गिम्जो, तिनका बस्तीहरू कब्जा गरे । तिनीहरूले ती ठाउँमा बसोबास गर्न गए ।
19 For Yahweh brought Judah low because of Ahaz, king of Israel; for he had acted wickedly in Judah and had sinned against Yahweh very heavily.
किनकि इस्राएलका राजा आहाजको कारणले परमप्रभुले यहूदालाई तल होच्याउनुभयो । किनकि यहूदामा तिनले दुष्टतापूर्वक काम गरेका थिए र परमप्रभुको विरुद्ध धेरै पाप गरेका थिए ।
20 Tiglath-Pileser, king of Assyria, came to him and troubled him instead of strengthening him.
अश्शूरका राजा तिग्लत-पिलेसेर तिनीकहाँ आए र तिनलाई सहायता दिनुको साटोमा झन् तिनलाई कष्ट दिए ।
21 For Ahaz plundered the house of Yahweh and the houses of the king and the leaders, to give the valuable things to the kings of Assyria. But doing this did not benefit him.
किनकि आहाजले अश्शूरका राजालाई दिनको निम्ति परमप्रभुको मन्दिर, राजा र भारदारहरूका महलहरू लुटे । तर यसले तिनलाई केही फाइदा भएन ।
22 This same King Ahaz sinned even more against Yahweh in his time of suffering.
तिनै राजा आहाजले आफ्नो कष्टको समयमा परमप्रभुको विरुद्ध झन् धेरै पाप गरे ।
23 For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus, gods that had defeated him. He said, “Because the gods of the kings of Aram helped them, I will sacrifice to them, so that they might help me.” But they were the ruin of him and of all Israel.
किनकि तिनले आफूलाई परास्त गर्ने दमस्कसका देवताहरूलाई बलिदान चढाए । तिनले भने, “अरामका राजाहरूका देवताहरूले उनीहरूलाई सहायता गरेका हुनाले म तिनीहरूलाई बलिदान चढाउनेछु, ताकि तिनीहरूले मलाई सहायता गरुन् ।” तर तिनीहरू नै तिनको र सारा इस्राएलको पतनको कारण बने ।
24 Ahaz gathered together the furnishings of the house of God and cut them to pieces. He shut the doors of the house of Yahweh and he made for himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
आहाजले परमप्रभुको मन्दिरका भाँडाकुँडाहरू जम्मा गरे र तिनलाई टुक्राटुक्रा बनाए । तिनले परमप्रभुको मन्दिरका ढोकाहरू पनि बन्द गरिदिए र तिनले यरूशलेमका हरेक कुनामा आफ्ना निम्ति वेदीहरू बनाए ।
25 In every city of Judah he made high places to burn sacrifices to other gods. He provoked Yahweh, the God of his ancestors, to anger.
यहूदाका हरेक सहरमा अरू देवतालाई बलिदान चढाउनका निम्ति डाँडाहरूका थानहरू बनाए । तिनले परमप्रभु आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूका परमेश्वरलाई क्रोधित तुल्याए ।
26 Now the rest of his deeds, and all his ways, first and last, see, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
तिनको राजकालका घटनाहरू सुरुदेखि अन्त्यसम्म यहूदा र इस्राएलका राजाहरूका पुस्तकमा लेखिएका छन् ।
27 Ahaz slept with his ancestors, and they buried him in the city, in Jerusalem, but they did not bring him into the tombs of the kings of Israel. Hezekiah, his son, became king in his place.
आहाज आफ्ना पुर्खारूसित सुते, र तिनीहरूले उनलाई यरूशलेम सहरमा गाडे, तर तिनीहरूले तिनलाई इस्राएलका राजाहरूका चिहानमा गाडेनन् । तिनको ठाउँमा तिनका छोरा हिजकिया राजा भए ।
