< 2 Chronicles 15 >
1 The Spirit of God came on Azariah son of Oded.
Immay ti espiritu ti Dios kenni Azarias a putot ni Obed.
2 He went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: Yahweh is with you, while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
Napanna sinabat ni Asa ket kinunana kenkuana, “Dumngegka kaniak Asa, ken dagiti amin a tattao ti Juda ken Benjamin: Adda kadakayo ni Yahweh, kabayatan iti kaaddayo kenkuana. No sapulenyo isuna, masarakanyonto isuna; ngem no tallikudanyo isuna, baybay-annakayonto.
3 Now for a long period, Israel was without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without the law.
Ita, nabayag a tiempo nga awan iti Israel ti pudno a Dios, ken awan padi a mangisuro, ken awan linteg.
4 But when in their distress they turned to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found by them.
Ngem iti tiempo ti pannakaparigatda, nagsublida kenni Yahweh a Dios ti Israel, sinapulda isuna, ket nasarakanda.
5 In those times there was no peace for him who traveled away, nor for him who traveled to here; instead, great troubles were on all the inhabitants of the lands.
Kadagidiay a tiempo, awan talna iti tao nga agdaliasat iti sadinoman; ngem ketdi, adda nakaro a pannakariribuk kadagiti amin nga agnanaed kadagiti daga.
6 They were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city, for God troubled them with all kinds of suffering.
Narumekrumekda, nasion maibusor iti nasion, ken siudad maibusor iti siudad, ta riniribuk ida ti Dios babaen kadagiti amin a kita ti panagsagaba.
7 But be strong, and do not let your hands be weak, for your work will be rewarded.”
Ngem bumilegkayo koma, ket saanyo nga ipalubos a kumapsut dagiti imayo, ta magunggonaanto ti trabahoyo.”
8 When Asa heard these words, the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage and drove away the disgusting things from all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and from the cities that he had captured from the hill country of Ephraim, and he rebuilt Yahweh's altar, which was in front of the portico of Yahweh's house.
Idi nangngeg ni Asa dagitoy a sasao, a padto ni profeta Obed, timmured isuna ket inikkatna dagiti makarimon a banbanag iti amin a daga ti Juda ken Benjamin ken kadagiti siudad a sinakupna iti katurturodan a pagilian ti Efraim; ken tinarimaanna ti altar ni Yahweh nga adda iti sangoanan ti balkon ti balay ni Yahweh.
9 He gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who stayed with them—people from of Ephraim and Manasseh, and from Simeon. For they came from Israel to him in great numbers, when they saw that Yahweh his God was with him.
Inummongna dagiti amin a tattao iti Juda ken Benjamin, ken dagiti makipagnanaed kadakuada-dagiti tattao a nagtaud iti Efraim, Manases ken Simeon. Ta aduda a naggapu iti Israel a napan kenkuana, idi nakitada nga adda kenkuana ni Yahweh a Diosna.
10 So they gathered together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of Asa's reign.
Isu a naguummongda idiay Jerusalem iti maikatlo a bulan, iti maika-sangapulo ket lima a tawen a panagturay ni Asa.
11 They sacrificed to Yahweh in that day some of the plunder that they had brought: seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep and goats.
Iti dayta nga aldaw, indatonda kenni Yahweh ti dadduma a sinamsamda nga awitda; pito gasut a bulog a baka ken pito ribu a karnero ken kalding.
12 They entered into a covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their ancestors, with all their heart and with all their soul.
Nagaramidda iti katulagan a sapulenda ni Yahweh a Dios dagiti kapuonanda, iti amin a pusoda ken iti amin a kararuada.
13 They agreed that whoever refused to seek Yahweh, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether the person was small or great, whether man or woman.
Immanamongda a siasinoman a saan a mangsapul kenni Yahweh a Dios ti Israel ket rumbeng a mapapatay, ubing man wenno nataengan, lalaki man wenno babai.
14 They swore to Yahweh with a loud voice, with shouting, and with trumpets and horns.
Nagsapatada kenni Yahweh iti napigsa a timek, babaen iti panagpukpukkawda, ken babaen kadagiti trumpeta ken tangguyob.
15 All Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart, and they sought God with their whole desire, and he was found by them. Yahweh gave them peace all around them.
Nagrag-o dagiti amin a tattao ti Juda gapu iti sapata, ta nagsapatada iti amin a pusoda, ken sinapulda ni Yahweh iti amin a tarigagayda; ket nasarakanda isuna. Inikkan ida ni Yahweh iti talna iti aglawlawda.
16 He also removed Maacah, his grandmother, from being queen, because she had made a disgusting figure out of an Asherah pole. Asa cut down the disgusting figure, ground it to dust and burned it at the brook Kidron.
Inikkatna pay ni Maaca, nga apongna a babai manipud iti kinareynana, gapu ta nagaramid isuna iti makarimon nga imahen ni Asera. Tinumba ni Asa ti makarimon nga imahen, binurakna sana pinuoran daytoy idiay waig ti Kidron.
17 But the high places were not taken out of Israel. Nevertheless, Asa's heart was completely devoted all his days.
Ngem saan a naikkat dagiti pagdaydayawan idiay Israel. Nupay kasta, naan-anay a napudno ti puso ni Asa kadagiti amin nga aldawna.
18 He brought into the house of God the silver and gold and the utensils that he and his father had dedicated for that purpose.
Impanna iti balay ti Dios dagiti alikamen ti amana ken dagiti bukodna nga alikamen a kukua ni Yahweh: dagiti pirak ken balitok.
19 There was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa's reign.
Awanen ti gubat agingga iti maika-35 a tawen a panagturay ni Asa.
