2 Chronicles 13
1 In the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam, Abijah began to reign over Judah.
युरब'आम बादशाह के अठारहवें साल से अबियाह यहूदाह पर हुकूमत करने लगा।
2 He ruled for three years in Jerusalem; his mother's name was Macaiah, the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
उसने येरूशलेम में तीन साल हुकूमत की। उसकी माँ का नाम मीकायाह था जो ऊरिएल जिबई की बेटी थी। और अबियाह और युरब'आम के बीच जंग हुई।
3 Abijah went into battle with an army of strong, courageous soldiers, 400,000 chosen men. Jeroboam placed battle lines against him with 800,000 chosen men, strong, courageous soldiers.
अबियाह जंगी सूर्माओं का लश्कर, या'नी चार लाख चुने हुए जंगी सूरमाओं का लश्कर लेकर लड़ाई में गया। और युरब'आम ने उसके मुक़ाबिले में आठ लाख चुने हुए आदमी लेकर, जो ताक़तवर सूर्मा थे सफ़आराई की।
4 Abijah stood on Mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, and said, “Listen to me, Jeroboam and all Israel!
और अबियाह समरेम के पहाड़ पर जो इफ़्राईम के पहाड़ी मुल्क में है, खड़ा हुआ और कहने लगा, “ऐ युरब'आम और सब इस्राईलियो, मेरी सुनो!
5 Do you not know that Yahweh, the God of Israel, gave the rule over Israel to David forever, to him and to his sons by a formal covenant?
क्या तुम को मा'लूम नहीं कि ख़ुदा वन्द इस्राईल के ख़ुदा ने इस्राईल की हुकूमत दाऊद ही को और उसके बेटों को, नमक के अहद से हमेशा के लिए दी है?
6 Yet Jeroboam son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon son of David, rose up and rebelled against his master.
तोभी नबात का बेटा युरब'आम, जो सुलेमान बिन दाऊद का ख़ादिम था, उठकर अपने आक़ा से बाग़ी हुआ।
7 Worthless men, base fellows, gathered to him. They came against Rehoboam son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and inexperienced and could not withstand them.
उसके पास निकम्मे और ख़बीस आदमी जमा' हो गए, जिन्होंने सुलेमान के बेटे रहब'आम के मुक़ाबिले में ज़ोर पकड़ा, जब रहुब'आम अभी जवान और नर्म दिल था और उनका मुक़ाबिला नहीं कर सकता था।
8 So now you plan to resist the kingdom of Yahweh that is held within the hand of the descendants of David, because you are a large army, and you have the golden calves that Jeroboam made to be your gods.
और अब तुम्हारा ख़्याल है कि तुम ख़ुदावन्द की बादशाही का, जो दाऊद की औलाद के हाथ में है, मुक़ाबिला करो; और तुम भारी गिरोह हो और तुम्हारे साथ वह सुनहले बछड़े हैं जिनको युरब'आम ने बनाया कि तुम्हारे मा'बूद हों।
9 But did you not drive out the priests of Yahweh, the descendants of Aaron, and the Levites, and make priests of your own in the same way as the people of other lands do? Whoever comes to serve as a priest, sacrificing a young bullock and seven rams, he becomes a priest of what are not gods.
क्या तुम ने हारून के बेटों और लावियों को जो ख़ुदावन्द के काहिन थे, ख़ारिज नहीं किया, और मुल्कों की क़ौमों के तरीक़े पर अपने लिए काहिन मुक़र्रर नहीं किए? ऐसा कि जो कोई एक बछड़ा और सात मेंढे लेकर अपनी तक़्दीस करने आए, वह उनका जो हक़ीक़त में ख़ुदा नहीं हैं काहिन हो सके।
10 But as for us, Yahweh is our God, and we have not forsaken him. We have priests, descendants of Aaron, serving Yahweh, and the Levites, who are at their work.
लेकिन हमारा यह हाल है कि ख़ुदा वन्द हमारा ख़ुदा है और हम ने उसे छोड़ नहीं दिया है, और हमारे यहाँ हारून के बेटे काहिन हैं जो ख़ुदावन्द की ख़िदमत करते हैं, और लावी अपने अपने काम में लगे रहते हैं।
11 Every morning and evening they burn for Yahweh burnt offerings and sweet incense. They also arrange the bread of the presence on the pure table; they also tend the lampstand of gold with its lamps, for them to burn every evening. We keep the commandments of Yahweh, our God, but you have forsaken him.
और वह हर सुबह और हर शाम को ख़ुदावन्द के सामने सोख़्तनी क़ुर्बानियाँ और ख़ुशबूदार ख़ुशबू जलाते हैं, और पाक मेज़ पर नज़ की रोटियाँ क़ाइदे के मुताबिक़ रखते और सुनहले शमा'दान और उसके चिराग़ों को हर शाम को रौशन करते हैं, क्यूँकि हम ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा के हुक्म को मानते हैं; लेकिन तुम ने उसको छोड़ दिया है।
12 See, God is with us at our head, and his priests are here with the trumpets to sound an alarm against you. People of Israel, do not fight against Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, for you will not succeed.”
देखो, ख़ुदा हमारे साथ हमारा रहनुमा है, और उसके काहिन तुम्हारें ख़िलाफ़ साँस बांधकर ज़ोर से फूँकने को नरसिंगे लिए हुए हैं। ऐ बनी — इस्राईल, ख़ुदावन्द अपने बाप — दादा के ख़ुदा से मत लड़ो, क्यूँकि तुम कामयाब न होगे।”
13 But Jeroboam prepared an ambush behind them; his army was in front of Judah, and the ambush was behind them.
लेकिन युरब'आम ने उनके पीछे कमीन लगवा दी। इसलिए वह बनी यहूदाह के आगे रहे और कमीन पीछे थी।
14 When Judah looked back, behold, the fighting was both in front of them and behind them. They cried out to Yahweh, and the priests blew the trumpets.
जब बनी यहूदाह ने पीछे नज़र की, तो क्या देखा कि लड़ाई उनके आगे और पीछे दोनों तरफ़ से है; और उन्होंने ख़ुदावन्द से फ़रियाद की, और काहिनों ने नरसिंगे फूंके।
15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout; as they shouted, it came about that God struck Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
तब यहूदाह के लोगों ने ललकारा, और जब उन्होंने ललकारा तो ऐसा हुआ कि ख़ुदा ने अबियाह और यहूदाह के आगे युरब'आम को और सारे इस्राईल को मारा।
16 The people of Israel fled before Judah, and God gave them into the hand of Judah.
और बनी इस्राईल यहूदाह के आगे से भागे, और ख़ुदा ने उनको उनके हाथ में कर दिया।
17 Abijah and his army killed them with great slaughter; 500,000 chosen men of Israel fell dead.
और अबियाह और उसके लोगों ने उनको बड़ी ख़ूनरेज़ी के साथ क़त्ल किया, तब इस्राईल के पाँच लाख चुने हुए मर्द मारे गए।
18 In this way, the people of Israel were subdued at that time; the people of Judah won because they relied on Yahweh, the God of their ancestors.
ऐसे बनी — इस्राईल उस वक़्त मग़लूब हुए और बनी यहूदाह ग़ालिब आए, इसलिए कि उन्होंने ख़ुदावन्द अपने बाप दादा के ख़ुदा पर यक़ीन किया।
19 Abijah pursued Jeroboam; he took cities from him: Bethel with its villages, Jeshanah with its villages, and Ephron with its villages.
और अबियाह ने युरब'आम का पीछा किया और इन शहरों को उससे ले लिया, या'नी बैतएल और उसके देहात। यसाना और उसके देहात इफ्रोन और उसके देहात।
20 Jeroboam never recovered power again during the days of Abijah; Yahweh struck him, and he died.
अबियाह के दिनों में युरब'आम ने फिर ज़ोर न पकड़ा, और ख़ुदावन्द ने उसे मारा और वह मर गया।
21 But Abijah became powerful; he took fourteen wives for himself and became the father of twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.
लेकिन अबियाह ताक़तवर हो गया और उसने चौदह बीवियाँ ब्याही, और उस के ज़रिए' बेटे और सोलह बेटियाँ पैदा हुई।
22 The rest of Abijah's deeds, his behavior, and words are written in the history of the prophet Iddo.
अबियाह के बाक़ी काम और उसके हालात और उसकी कहावतें 'ईदू नबी की तफ़्सीर में लिखी हैं।
