< 2 Chronicles 13 >

1 In the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam, Abijah began to reign over Judah.
Israel gamsunga Rehoboam leng chan kal kum somle get lhin kumin, Abijah chun Judah gam sunga vai ahin hom panin ahi.
2 He ruled for three years in Jerusalem; his mother's name was Macaiah, the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
Aman Jerusalem a kumthum lengvai ahinpon, anu chu Gebiah mi Uriel chanu Maacah ahi. Chuin Abijah le Jeroboam kah’a gal asohdoh tan ahi.
3 Abijah went into battle with an army of strong, courageous soldiers, 400,000 chosen men. Jeroboam placed battle lines against him with 800,000 chosen men, strong, courageous soldiers.
Judah te lengpa Abijah chun galhang mi sang jali alhengin, akhom tupmin alamkaiyin; alangkhatna Jeroboam chun Israel gamsunga konin sepai sang jaget akhom doh kit’in ahi.
4 Abijah stood on Mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, and said, “Listen to me, Jeroboam and all Israel!
Judah sepai ho chu Ephraim thinglhang gam ahung lhun phat uchun, Abijah chu Zemorin molchunga adding in Jeroboam le Israel techu asam in, “Neihin ngaipeh temun,
5 Do you not know that Yahweh, the God of Israel, gave the rule over Israel to David forever, to him and to his sons by a formal covenant?
Pakai Israel te Pathen in David toh kitepna asema amale achilhah te Israel laltouna atonsotna dinga apeh chu nagel doh lou’u hitam?”
6 Yet Jeroboam son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon son of David, rose up and rebelled against his master.
Ahivangin David chapa Solomon lhachaa pang mai mai Nabet chapa Jeroboam chun, apupa adouvin ahi.
7 Worthless men, base fellows, gathered to him. They came against Rehoboam son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and inexperienced and could not withstand them.
Chujongleh migilou pumpi chun ama ajopmun, Solomon chapa Rehoboam chapangcha le hetna thepna neiloulai chu athu ngailouvin; dingdoh theilou khopmin ana lhauvin ahi.
8 So now you plan to resist the kingdom of Yahweh that is held within the hand of the descendants of David, because you are a large army, and you have the golden calves that Jeroboam made to be your gods.
Chule tun David chihlhah te khutna um Pakai lenggam dou dingin tohgon nasem kit uvin, nanghon sepai tampi leh Jeroboam in na Pathen diuva asem sana Bongnou lim chu nanei maithei’u ahinai.
9 But did you not drive out the priests of Yahweh, the descendants of Aaron, and the Levites, and make priests of your own in the same way as the people of other lands do? Whoever comes to serve as a priest, sacrificing a young bullock and seven rams, he becomes a priest of what are not gods.
Hijongleh nanghon Pakai thempu nakilhen’u hilouham? Koi hijongleh bongnou khatle kelngoi sagi toh, hiche alim semthu na pathen hou komma hung kipedoh tapou chu thempua napansah jiu ahi.
10 But as for us, Yahweh is our God, and we have not forsaken him. We have priests, descendants of Aaron, serving Yahweh, and the Levites, who are at their work.
Keiho dinga vang Pakai chu ka Pathen’u ahi, chule keihon ama chu ka dalha pouve; Pakai lhacha’a pang thempu ho chu Aaron chapate bou ahiuvin, Leviten akithopi jiu ahi.
11 Every morning and evening they burn for Yahweh burnt offerings and sweet incense. They also arrange the bread of the presence on the pure table; they also tend the lampstand of gold with its lamps, for them to burn every evening. We keep the commandments of Yahweh, our God, but you have forsaken him.
Amaho seh jingkah nilhah seh in Pakai angsunga pumgo thilto le gim namtui hal aboljiuvin ahi. Nilhah sehle dokhang theng chunga chun changlhah agoldoh jiuvin, chule sana thaomei chunga chun thaomei ho avah jiuvin ahi. Keihon Pakai ka Pathen thuhil kajui jing un, ahinlah nanghon ama chu nalha tauve.
12 See, God is with us at our head, and his priests are here with the trumpets to sound an alarm against you. People of Israel, do not fight against Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, for you will not succeed.”
Chuti chun veuvin Pathen chun eiumpiuve. Amahi kalamkai pao ahi, Ama thempu hon asumkon’u amut uva galmuna nang douna eilamkaiju ahi. “Vo Israel mite, Pakai napu napa teu dounan galsat hih un; ajeh chu na lolhin lou diu ahi.”
13 But Jeroboam prepared an ambush behind them; his army was in front of Judah, and the ambush was behind them.
Hiche kahla achun Jeroboam chun guhthim chan asepaite phabap khat chu, Judah te nung lama konna umkim vella changlhi din asel’in ahi.
14 When Judah looked back, behold, the fighting was both in front of them and behind them. They cried out to Yahweh, and the priests blew the trumpets.
Judah techun anung ama konna ahung kino khumu chu ahetdoh phat uchun, akithopi diuvin Pakai koma ataouvin, chuin thempu hon sumkon amut un,
15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout; as they shouted, it came about that God struck Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
chule Judah mite chun kho asam pan tauvin ahi. Agalsat khosap ogin husan chun Pathen in Jeroboam chu ajopeh un chule Israel te Abijah le Judah te sepaiho masang chun adelmang tan ahi.
16 The people of Israel fled before Judah, and God gave them into the hand of Judah.
Israel sepai ho chu Judah te masanga konin ajamang un, chuin Pathen in Judahte chu Israel mite khut nakon ahuh dohtan ahi.
17 Abijah and his army killed them with great slaughter; 500,000 chosen men of Israel fell dead.
Abijah le sepaite chun amaho chu nasatah in atong khaovin, hiche ni chun Israelte sepai athemcheh mi sang janga athi in ahi.
18 In this way, the people of Israel were subdued at that time; the people of Judah won because they relied on Yahweh, the God of their ancestors.
Hiti chun hiche thilsoh chunga hin Judah ten Israel te ajou un ahi.
19 Abijah pursued Jeroboam; he took cities from him: Bethel with its villages, Jeshanah with its villages, and Ephron with its villages.
Abijah le asepaite chun Jeroboam sepai ho chu aga nung del peh-un, khopi phabep Bethel, Jeshanah le Ephron jaonan chule akimvella kho neo ho chu aga la tauvin ahi.
20 Jeroboam never recovered power again during the days of Abijah; Yahweh struck him, and he died.
Chuti chun Abijah dam sungin Jeroboam chu athaneina akinung le doh kit tapon, chule achaina lama Pakai in ajeplhun athi tan ahi.
21 But Abijah became powerful; he took fourteen wives for himself and became the father of twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.
Ahinlah Abijah thaneina vang chu akhangtou jingin, Abijah chun ji numei somle li aneiyin; chule chapa somnile ni le chanu somle gup aneiyin ahi.
22 The rest of Abijah's deeds, his behavior, and words are written in the history of the prophet Iddo.
Abijah Lengvaipoh sunga thilsoh dang hole, athusei alahsah hole anatoh athibol ho jouse chu; Iddo themgao Lekhabua chun akijih lut soh keiyin ahi.
