< 2 Chronicles 12 >

1 It came about, when Rehoboam's reign was established and he was strong, that he abandoned the law of Yahweh—and all Israel with him.
Markii boqortooyadii Rexabcaam ay dhisantay oo uu xoogaystay ayuu ka tegey sharcigii Rabbiga, iyadoo ay reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammuba la jiraan.
2 It happened in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, that Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against Jerusalem, because the people had been unfaithful to Yahweh.
Oo sannaddii shanaad oo Boqor Rexabcaam ayaa Shiishaq oo boqorkii Masar ahaa Yeruusaalem ku kacay, maxaa yeelay, iyagu waxay ku xadgudbeen Rabbiga,
3 He came with twelve hundred chariots and sixty thousand horsemen. Soldiers without number came with him from Egypt: Libyans, Sukkites, and Cushites.
oo wuxuu kaxaystay kun iyo laba boqol oo gaadhifaras iyo lixdan kun oo fardooley ah, oo dadkii isaga Masar kala soo baxayna tiro ma ay lahayn, waxayna ahaayeen reer Luubiim iyo reer Sukiyiim iyo reer Itoobiya.
4 He captured the fortified cities that belonged to Judah and came to Jerusalem.
Oo isagu wuxuu qabsaday magaalooyinkii deyrka lahaa ee dalka Yahuudah, oo haddana wuxuu yimid Yeruusaalem.
5 Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and to the leaders of Judah who had gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak. Shemaiah said to them, “This is what Yahweh says: You have forsaken me, so I have also given you over into Shishak's hand.”
Haddaba Nebi Shemacyaah ayaa u yimid Rexabcaam iyo amiirradii dalka Yahuudah oo Yeruusaalem ugu urursanaa Shiishaq daraaddiis, oo wuxuu iyagii ku yidhi, Rabbigu wuxuu leeyahay, Idinku waad i dayriseen oo sidaas daraaddeed ayaan gacanta Shiishaq idinkaga tegey.
6 Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, “Yahweh is righteous.”
Markaasaa amiirradii dadka Israa'iil iyo boqorkiiba is-hoosaysiiyeen, oo waxay yidhaahdeen, Rabbigu waa xaq.
7 When Yahweh saw that they had humbled themselves, the word of Yahweh came to Shemaiah, saying, “They have humbled themselves. I will not ruin them; I will rescue them to some extent, and my anger will not pour out on Jerusalem by means of Shishak's hand.
Oo Rabbiguna markuu arkay inay is-hoosaysiiyeen ayaa eraygii Rabbigu u yimid Shemacyaah, wuxuuna ku yidhi, Iyagu way is-hoosaysiiyeen oo taas aawadeed anigu baabbi'in maayo, laakiinse waan samatabbixin doonaa, oo cadhadayduna Yeruusaalem kuma degi doonto iyadoo gacanta Shiishaq ku timid.
8 Nevertheless, they will be his servants, so that they may understand what it is to serve me and to serve the rulers of the other countries.”
Habase ahaatee waxay ahaan doonaan addoommadiisa, si ay u ogaadaan adeegiddayda iyo adeegidda boqortooyooyinka waddammadaba.
9 So Shishak, king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem and took away the treasures in the house of Yahweh, and the treasures in the king's house. He took everything away; he also took the shields of gold that Solomon had made.
Haddaba sidaas daraaddeed Shiishaq oo ahaa boqorkii Masar wuxuu ku kacay Yeruusaalem oo wuxuu qaatay khasnadihii guriga Rabbiga iyo khasnadihii guriga boqorkaba, oo dhammaantood wuu wada qaatay, oo wuxuu kaloo wada qaatay gaashaammadii dahabka ahaa oo Sulaymaan sameeyey.
10 King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place and entrusted them into the hands of the commanders of the guard, who guarded the doors to the king's house.
Oo Boqor Rexabcaam ayaa meeshoodii ka sameeyey gaashaammo naxaas ah, oo wuxuu u dhiibay saraakiishii waardiyayaashii albaabka guriga boqorka dhawri jiray.
11 It happened that whenever the king entered the house of Yahweh, the guards would carry them; then they would bring them back into the guardhouse.
Oo mar alla markuu boqorku gurigii Rabbiga galo ayay waardiyayaashu iman jireen oo ay gaashaammada soo qaadi jireen, oo haddana waxay ku soo celin jireen qolkii waardiyayaasha.
12 When Rehoboam humbled himself, Yahweh's anger turned away from him, so as not to destroy him completely; besides, there was still some good to be found in Judah.
Oo markuu isagu is-hoosaysiiyey ayaa cadhadii Rabbigu ka noqotay si aan Rabbigu isaga dhammaantiisba u baabbi'in, oo weliba dalka Yahuudah waxyaalo wanwanaagsan baa laga heli jiray.
13 So King Rehoboam made his kingship strong in Jerusalem, and thus he reigned. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city that Yahweh had chosen from all the tribes of Israel so that he might put his name there. His mother's name was Naamah the Ammonite woman.
Haddaba Boqor Rexabcaam wuxuu ku xoogaystay Yeruusaalem oo xukumay, oo Rexabcaam markuu boqor noqday wuxuu jiray kow iyo afartan sannadood, oo toddoba iyo toban sannadood ayuu boqor ku ahaa Yeruusaalem oo ahayd magaaladii Rabbigu ka doortay qabiilooyinka reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan inuu magiciisa halkaas dhigo; oo hooyadiis magaceedu wuxuu ahaa Nacamaah tii reer Cammoon.
14 He did what was evil, because he did not fix his heart to seek Yahweh.
Oo isagu wuxuu sameeyey wax shar ah, maxaa yeelay, qalbigiisa uma uu diyaarin inuu Rabbiga doondoono.
15 As for the other matters concerning Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the writings of Shemaiah the prophet and of Iddo the seer, which also have records of genealogies and the constant wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam?
Haddaba Rexabcaam falimihiisii, intii hore iyo intii dambeba, sow kuma qorna taariikhdii Nebi Shemacyaah iyo tii Iddo oo ahaa waxarkihii, siday ahaayeen abtirsiinyadii? Oo had iyo goorna dagaal baa ka dhaxayn jiray Rexabcaam iyo Yaaraabcaam.
16 Rehoboam slept with his ancestors and was buried in the city of David; Abijah his son became king in his place.
Oo Rexabcaamna wuu dhintay oo la seexday awowayaashiis, oo waxaa lagu aasay magaaladii Daa'uud, oo meeshiisiina waxaa boqor ka noqday wiilkiisii Abiiyaah.
