< 1 Timothy 6 >

1 Let all who are under the yoke as slaves regard their own masters as worthy of all honor. They should do this so that the name of God and the teaching might not be blasphemed.
Pathian min le Ama hilna sia sonsiat a hi thei ngawl natu in, sila te in amate i to te sia upat na theampo nga tak hi, ci in ngaisun ta hen.
2 The slaves who have believing masters should not disrespect them because they are brothers. Instead, they should serve them all the more. For the masters who are helped by their work are believers and are loved. Teach and declare these things.
Amate i to te sia thu um ahile, amate sia suapui ahi ciang in zawngsak heak hen; ahihang a phattuamna sanpui te sia a thuman te le a deihuai te ahi uhkom in, nasia zaw in seam tahen. Hi thu te hil in a hanthawn in.
3 If anyone teaches something that does not agree with the reliable instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,
Mi khatpo in hilna tumdang hil a, i Topa Jesus Christ i thu le Pathianmi hina taw kisai hilna te a lungkimpui bua ahile;
4 he is proud and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and arguments about words that result in envy, strife, insults, evil suspicions,
Ama sia a kiphasak, bangma he ngawl, ahihang, thudok nate le kam ki nial nate sia ama i nopsak pawl a hihi, tua thu pan in hazatna, ki el na, ngualdang maizumsak nate, a pha ngawl uplakna te piangsak hi,
5 and constant conflict between people with depraved minds. They have lost the truth and they think that godliness is a way to get more money.
Thinsung lal a thu ki nial thei lampi mihing te, thuman nei ngawl te, sum le pai lam phattuamna sia Pathianmi hina bang in a ngaisun te taw ki thawl heak in.
6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
Ahihang Pathianmi hina taw lungkimna sia phattuamna lianpi a hihi.
7 For we have brought nothing into the world. Neither are we able to take out anything.
Banghangziam cile hi leitung ah bangma i keng bua hi, taciang hi leitung pan in bangma i keng thei bua hi, ci sia thiang mama hi.
8 Instead, let us be satisfied with food and clothing.
Tua ahikom in an le niklepuan i nei na za ah lungkim tawng.
9 Now those who want to become wealthy fall into temptation, into a trap. They fall into many foolish and harmful passions, and into whatever else makes people sink into ruin and destruction.
Ahihang a hau nuam te sia ze-etna le thang sung ah, mawmawtna tampi le a tuakhial thei cilesa deina te sung ah taksuk uh a, tua thu in mihing te sia susia le lalcip na sung ah khum hi.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people who desire it have been mislead away from the faith and have pierced themselves with much grief.
Banghangziam cile sum deina sia phat ngawlna theampo i zungpi a hihi: tua thu sia mi pawlkhat te in eang uh a, upna pan in paikhial uh hi, taciang thinnatna tampi taw amate le amate kisun hi.
11 But you, man of God, flee from these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, endurance, and gentleness.
Ahihang nang, Pathian mihing awng, hite nusia in; taciang thutang suana, Pathianmi hina, upna, thianthona, itna, thuakzawkna le cikna te del in.
12 Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the everlasting life to which you were called, and about which you gave the good confession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
Upna sung ah phatak in do in, tawntung nuntakna lenkip in, tua atu in nangma zong sap sa na hihi, taciang tetti tampi mai ah na pualak zo hi. (aiōnios g166)
13 I give you this command before God, who causes all things to live, and before Christ Jesus, who spoke what is true to Pontius Pilate:
Na theampo a nungtasak Pathian le Pontius Pilate te mai ah pualak na pha tettipang Christ Jesus mai ah kong vaitha hi;
14 Keep the commandment without spot or blame until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hi thupiak sia a niin ki hel ngawl le tei kul ngawl in i Topa Jesus Christ hong kilang ni dong keamcing in:
15 God will reveal Christ's appearing at the right time—God, the blessed and only Sovereign, the King who reigns and the Lord who rules.
Tasia sia Ama hun ciang in hong lak tu hi a, Ama sia Thuphatoai le Vangletna kicing a omsun, kumpi theampo te i kumpi, to theampo te i To;
16 Only he has immortality and dwells in inapproachable light. No man sees him or is able to view him. To him be honor and eternal power. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
Ama bek in thi thei ngawl na nei hi, kuama in a nai a neak thei ngawl khuavak sung ah om hi; kuama in mu ngei ngawl a, mu zong mu thei ngawl hi: Ama tung ah zatakna le vangletna a tawntung in om tawntung tahen. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 Tell the rich in this world not to be proud, and not to hope in riches, which are uncertain. Instead, they should hope in God. He offers to us all the true riches to enjoy. (aiōn g165)
Hi leitung i mihau te sia amate le amate a sang mama in a ki ngaisut ngawl natu le, a kip ngawl hauna te muang ngawl in, na theampo nuamtak in i zat tu a tam mama in hong pia a nungta Pathian sia muan in a nei zawk natu uh vaitha in; (aiōn g165)
18 Tell them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, and willing to share.
Tabang in amate sia na pha vawt a, nasep pha sung ah a hau tu ahizong, hawm tu in kingingkhol tu ahizong, a neisa te a hawmsem ngam hi tu a;
19 In that way, they will store up for themselves a good foundation for what is to come, so that they will take hold of real life.
Amate atu in hongpai pheang tu hun sung ah doppha kip khol khol a, tawntung nuntakna sia kho let tu hi.
20 Timothy, protect what was given to you. Avoid the foolish talk and conflicting ideas of what is falsely called knowledge.
Timothy awng, na tung ah hong ki ap te keamcing in, Pathian thusimngawl le mannung ngawl kammal te, a man ngawl in heakna langpan nate pial in;
21 Some men proclaim these things and so they have missed the faith. May grace be with you.
Pawlkhat in upna taw kisai in hil khial uh hi. Na tung ah thuthiamna hong om tahen. Amen.
