1 Thessalonians 1
1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. May grace and peace be to you.
ⲁ̅ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲥⲓⲗⲟⲩⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲥϩⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲑⲉⲥⲥⲁⲗⲟⲛⲓⲕⲉⲩⲥ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲛ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅. ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲛ̅ⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲙⲛ̅ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ·
2 We always give thanks to God for all of you, as we mention you in our prayers.
ⲃ̅ⲧⲛ̅ϣⲡ̅ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲧⲏⲣⲧⲛ̅. ⲉⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲛϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲁϫⲛ̅ⲱϫⲛ̅.
3 We remember without ceasing before our God and Father your work of faith, labor of love, and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
ⲅ̅ⲉⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡϩⲱⲃ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲡϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲑⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ.
4 Brothers loved by God, we know he has chosen you,
ⲇ̅ⲉⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲱⲧⲡ̅
5 because our gospel came to you not in word only, but also in power, in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance. In the same way, you also know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.
ⲉ̅ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡϥ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲧⲉ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲕⲉϭⲟⲙ. ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲙⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲧⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱϣ. ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ. ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅.
6 You became imitators of us and of the Lord, as you received the word in much hardship with joy from the Holy Spirit.
ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ. ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϫⲓ ⲙ̅ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱⲥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ.
7 As a result, you became an example to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe.
ⲍ̅ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲭⲁⲓ̈ⲁ.
8 For from you the word of the Lord has rung out, and not only in Macedonia and Achaia—everywhere your faith in God has gone out. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it.
ⲏ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϯⲥⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲭⲁⲓ̈ⲁ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉⲧϫⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲥⲣ̅ⲥⲟⲉⲓⲧ ϩⲛ̅ⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ. ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲙ̅ⲣ̅ⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ϫⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ.
9 For they themselves report what kind of coming we had among you. They tell how you turned to God from the idols to serve the living and true God.
ⲑ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲥⲉϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲛⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲕⲉⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲉⲓⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ. ⲉⲣ̅ϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲉ.
10 They report that you are waiting for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead. This is Jesus, who frees us from the wrath to come.
ⲓ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϭⲱϣⲧ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲏⲧϥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲏⲩⲉ. ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲣⲅⲏ ⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ.
