< 1 Thessalonians 2 >
1 For you yourselves know, brothers, that our coming to you was not useless.
Banghangziam cile suapui te awng, note kung ah kong tum na uh sia a luithathong hi ngawl hi, ci note mama in na he uh hi:
2 You know that we previously suffered and were shamefully treated at Philippi. We were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much struggling.
Ahihang note i na heak uh bangma in, Philippi ah maizumhuai tak in hong koi uh a, ka thuak zawk uh ciang zong, note kung ah Pathian lungdamna thupha sia ki nial na tampi taw hil tu in Pathian sung ah hangsanna ka nei uh hi.
3 For our exhortation was not from error, nor from impurity, nor from deceit.
Banghangziam cile kote i hanthotna sia khial na, thiantho ngawl na, le theamna hi ngawl hi:
4 Instead, just as we have been approved by God to be trusted with the gospel, so we speak. We speak, not to please men, but to please God. He is the one who examines our hearts.
Ahihang lungdamna thupha keamcing tu in Pathian in hong sawl bang in; mihing lungkimsak tu bang hi ngawl in, kote i thinsung a en Pathian lungkimsak te bang in ka pau uh hi.
5 For we never used words of flattery, as you know, nor as an excuse to cover up greed— God is our witness.
Banghangziam cile na heaksa uh bangma in, banghun po ahizong sialpokna kammal te ka zang ngei bua uh hi, duhopna phualseal kammal te zong ka zang bua uh hi; Pathian sia ka tetti uh a hihi:
6 Nor did we seek glory from people, either from you or from others. We could have claimed privileges as apostles of Christ.
Christ i sawltak te ka hi uh bangma in, vanngit hong suan thei hi ka le ung, note tung pan ahizong, ngualdang tung pan ahizong, mihing tung pan in minthanna ka zong bua uh hi.
7 Instead, we were as gentle among you as a mother comforting her own children.
Ahihang nau keam nu in nauno te a khoi bang in, kote zong note sung ah thin neamtak in kong om uh hi:
8 In this way we had affection for you. We were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives. For you had become very dear to us.
Note kong it mama uh hu in, note tung ah Pathian lungdamna thupha bek hi ngawl in, ka nuntakna zong kong pia nuam uh hi, banghangziam cile note sia kong it mamate na hi uh hi.
9 For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil. Night and day we were working so that we might not weigh down any of you. During that time, we preached to you the gospel of God.
Banghangziam cile, suapui te awng, ka nasep uh le ka thuak uh haksatna te, na phawk tawntung uh hi: banghangziam cile note kung ah vanngit ka hi thei ngawl natu in sun le zan in na ka seam uh a, Pathian lungdamna thupha note kong hil uh hi.
10 You are witnesses, and God also, how holy, righteous, and blameless was our behavior toward you who believe.
No thu um mite sung ah thiangtho tak, thutang tak le pauban na om ngawl in ka nungta uh hi, ci note le Pathian sia ka tetti te na hi uh hi:
11 In the same way you know how we dealt with each one of you as a father deals with his own children.
Pa in a tate tung ah a vawt bang in, kote in note sia bangbang in hong hantawn in, hong heneam khu ziam, taciang note tung ah kong vaitha uh hi, ci na he uh hi,
12 We were begging you and encouraging and urging you to walk in a manner that is worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.
Tabang in note sia Ama kumpingam le minthanna sung ah hongsam Pathian taw a kilawm in na nuntak tu uh a hihi.
13 For this reason we also thank God constantly. For when you received from us God's message that you heard, you accepted it not as the word of man. Instead, you received it as it truly is, the word of God. It is this word that is also at work among you who believe.
Hi thu hang zong Pathian sia tatsat ngawl in lungdam ka ko uh hi, banghangziam cile kote tung pan in na zak uh Pathian thu na san uh lai in, mihing kammal bang in na sang bua uh hi, ahihang thuman bang in na sang uh hi, tua Pathian thu in a um note sung ah phattuamna tampi taw na seam hi.
14 For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God that are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, as they did from the Jews.
Banghangziam cile, suapui te awng, note Christ Jesus sung ah Judah ngam a om Pathian pawlpi a zui te na suak uh hi: banghangziam cile amate in Judah mite tung ah a thuak uh bang in, note zong na ngam mite tung pan na thuak uh hi:
15 It was the Jews who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets. It was the Jews who drove us out. They do not please God. Instead, they are hostile to all people.
Judah te in Topa Jesus le amate kamsang te that uh hi, taciang kote hong vawtsia uh a; Pathian lungkimsak ngawl uh hi, taciang mi theampo taw ki langpan uh hi:
16 They forbid us to speak to the Gentiles for them to be saved. The result is that they always fill up their own sins. Wrath must come on them in the end.
Gentile te ngupna a nga thei natu in ka thuhil natu hong khak hi, taciang mawna taw kidim tawntung uh hi: banghangziam cile Pathian thin-ukna sia a khakbel in amate tung ah hong theng hi.
17 We were separated from you, brothers, for a short time, in person not in heart. We were especially eager, with great desire, to see your face.
Ahihang suapui te awng, thinsung bek hi ngawl in, cilesa lam taw tawmvei sung i ki khen a, note maitang mu nop na lianpi taw nasiatak in ka hanciam uh hi.
18 For we wished to come to you—I, Paul, wished to come to you once and again—but Satan stopped us.
Tua ahikom note kung ah kong pai nuam uh a, keima Paul vateak zong, khatvei kongpai kik nop hi napi; Satan in hong khak hi.
19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of pride in front of our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you just as much as others?
Banghangziam cile kote i lametna, lungdamna le lungdamna kham lukhu sia bang ziam? I Topa Jesus Christ hongpai ciang in Ama mai ah note hi ngawl nu ziam?
20 For you are our glory and our joy.
Banghangziam cile note sia ka minthanna le lungdamna na hi uh hi.
