< 1 Samuel 8 >
1 When Samuel was old, he made his sons judges over Israel.
Tango Samuele akomaki mobange, aponaki bana na ye ya mibali mpo ete bazala basambisi kati na Isalaele.
2 The name of his firstborn was Joel, and the name of his second son was Abijah. They were judges in Beersheba.
Kombo ya mwana na ye ya liboso ya mobali ezalaki « Joeli, » mpe ya mibale, « Abiya. » Bazalaki kosala mosala na bango na Beri-Sheba,
3 His sons did not walk in his ways, but chased after dishonest gain. They took bribes and perverted justice.
kasi batambolaki te na nzela ya Samuele, tata na bango: bamipesaki na lokoso ya mbongo, na kozwaka kanyaka mpe na kokataka makambo na bosembo te.
4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah.
Mpo na yango, bakambi nyonso ya mabota ya Isalaele basanganaki elongo mpe bakendeki epai ya Samuele, na Rama.
5 They said to him, “Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Appoint for us a king to judge us like all the nations.”
Balobaki na ye: « Tala, yo okomi na yo mobange, mpe bana na yo ya mibali bazali kotambola te na banzela na yo. Sik’oyo, pona mokonzi oyo akokamba biso ndenge ezali na bikolo nyonso. »
6 But it displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to Yahweh.
Kasi tango balobaki: « Pesa biso mokonzi oyo akokamba biso, » Samuele asepelaki na likambo yango te; boye asambelaki Yawe.
7 Yahweh said to Samuel, “Obey the voice of the people in everything they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.
Mpe Yawe azongiselaki Samuele: « Yoka makambo nyonso oyo bato bazali koloba na yo. Ezali yo te nde basundoli, kasi basundoli nde Ngai lokola Mokonzi na bango.
8 They are acting now the same as they did since the day I brought them out of Egypt, forsaking me, and serving other gods, and so they are also doing to you.
Bazali kosala yo ndenge kaka basalaki Ngai, banda mokolo oyo nabimisaki bango na Ejipito kino lelo: basundolaki Ngai mpe basalelaki banzambe mosusu.
9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know the way the king will rule over them.”
Sik’oyo, yoka bango; kasi kebisa bango malamu mpe yebisa bango makambo nyonso oyo mokonzi oyo akokonza bango akobanda kosala. »
10 So Samuel told all the words of Yahweh to the people who were asking for a king.
Samuele ayebisaki bato oyo bazalaki kosenga ye mokonzi maloba nyonso ya Yawe.
11 He said, “This will be the practice of the king who will reign over you. He will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen, and to run before his chariots.
Alobaki na bango: — Tala makambo oyo mokonzi oyo akokonza bino akobanda kosala: Akozwa bana na bino ya mibali mpe akotia bango na mosala ya kokumba bashar na ye kati na basoda na ye oyo babundaka na bampunda; bakobanda kokima mbangu liboso ya shar na ye lokola bakengeli ya mokonzi.
12 He will appoint for himself captains of thousands and captains of fifties. He will make some plow his ground, some reap his harvest, and some make his weapons of war and the equipment for his chariots.
Akotia bamoko, bakonzi ya bankoto ya basoda; bamosusu, bakonzi ya basoda tuku mitano; bamosusu, akotia bango na mosala ya kobalola mabele ya bilanga na ye, kobuka bambuma na ye mpe kosalela ye bibundeli ya bitumba mpe bisalelo mpo na bashar na ye.
13 He will also take your daughters to be perfumers, cooks, and bakers.
Akokamata bana na bino ya basi mpo ete basalaka malasi, balambaka bilei mpe mapa.
14 He will take the very best of your fields, your vineyards, and your olive orchards, and give them to his servants.
Akokamata bilanga na bino ya vino mpe ya olive oyo eleki kitoko, mpe akopesa yango epai ya basali na ye.
15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give to his officers and his servants.
Akokamata eteni ya zomi ya milona na bino mpe ya bilanga na bino ya vino, mpe akopesa yango epai ya kalaka na ye ya lokumu mpe epai ya basali na ye.
16 He will take your male servants and your female servants and the best of your young men and your donkeys; he will put them all to work for him.
Bongo, kati na basali na bino ya mibali, basali na bino ya basi, bilenge na bino mpe ba-ane na bino, akokamata ba-oyo baleki kitoko mpo na misala na ye.
17 He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you will be his slaves.
Akokamata eteni ya zomi ya bameme na bino, mpe bino moko bokokoma bawumbu na ye.
18 Then on that day you will cry out because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves; but Yahweh will not answer you on that day.”
Bongo na mokolo wana, tango bokobanda kolelalela mpo na mokonzi oyo bino moko bokomiponela, na mokolo yango, Yawe akoyanola bino ata moke te.
19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel; they said, “No! There must be a king over us
Kasi bato baboyaki koyokela Samuele, balobaki: — Te! Biso tolingi kaka mokonzi.
20 so that we might be like all the other nations, and so that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.”
Na bongo, biso mpe tokozala lokola bikolo mosusu. Mokonzi na biso akokamba biso, akobima liboso na biso mpe akotambolisa biso na bitumba.
21 When Samuel heard all the words of the people he repeated them in the ears of Yahweh.
Tango Samuele ayokaki maloba nyonso ya bato, amemaki yango liboso ya Yawe.
22 Yahweh said to Samuel, “Obey their voice and cause someone to be king for them.” So Samuel said to the men of Israel, “Every man must go to his own city.”
Mpe Yawe alobaki na Samuele: « Yokela bango mpe pesa bango mokonzi! » Bongo Samuele alobaki na bato ya Isalaele: « Tika ete moto na moto azonga na engumba na ye! »
