1 Samuel 11
1 Then Nahash the Ammonite went and laid seige to Jabesh Gilead. All the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you.”
၁ထိုနောက်မှ အမ္မုန် အမျိုးသားနာဟတ် သည်လာ ၍ ဂိလဒ်ပြည်ယာဗက်မြို့အနား မှာ တပ်ချ လျှင် ၊ မြို့သား အပေါင်း တို့က အကျွန်ုပ် တို့နှင့် မိဿဟာယ ဖွဲ့တော်မူပါ။ ကိုယ်တော် ထံ၌ကျွန် ခံပါမည်ဟု နာဟတ် မင်းအား လျှောက်သော်လည်း၊
2 Nahash the Ammonite replied, “On this condition will I make a treaty with you, that I gouge out all of your right eyes, and in this way bring disgrace on all Israel.”
၂အမ္မုန် အမျိုးသားနာဟတ် က၊ သင် တို့၌ လက်ျာ မျက်စိ ရှိသမျှ ကို ဖောက် ၍ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးတမျိုးလုံး ၌ ငါကဲ့ရဲ့ ရသောအခွင့်ကိုပေး မှသာ မိဿဟာယ ဖွဲ့မည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော သော်၊
3 Then the elders of Jabesh replied to him, “Leave us alone for seven days, so that we may send messengers to all the territory of Israel. Then, if there is no one to save us, we will surrender to you.”
၃ယာဗက် မြို့သားအသက်ကြီး သူတို့က၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ဣသရေလ ပြည် တရှောက်လုံး သို့ တမန် တို့ကို စေလွှတ် ခြင်းငှါခုနှစ် ရက် မျှ ငံ့လင့်ပါ။ ထိုအခါ ကယ်တင် သောသူ မ ပေါ်မရှိလျှင် မင်းကြီးထံသို့ ထွက် ပါမည်ဟု ဆို ကြ၏။
4 The messengers came to Gibeah, where Saul lived, and told the people what had happened. All the people wept loudly.
၄တမန် တို့သည် ရှောလု နေရာ ဂိဗာ မြို့သို့လာ ၍ လူ များတို့အား သိတင်း ကြားပြော သော်၊ လူ အပေါင်း တို့သည် အသံ ကို လွှင့် ၍ ငိုကြွေး ကြ၏။
5 Now Saul was following the oxen out of the field. Saul said, “What is wrong with the people that they are weeping?” They told Saul what the men of Jabesh had said.
၅ရှောလု သည် နွားစု နောက် သို့ လိုက်လျက် လယ် လုပ်ရာမှ ရောက် လာသောအခါ ၊ လူ တို့သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့် ငိုကြွေး ကြသနည်းဟုမေး လျှင် ၊ ယာဗက် မြို့သား တို့၏ သိတင်း ကို ပြော ကြ၏။
6 When Saul heard what they said, the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he was very angry.
၆ထို သိတင်း ကို ရှောလု ကြား သောအခါ ၊ ဘုရား သခင်၏ ဝိညာဉ် တော် သက်ရောက် ၍ သူသည် ပြင်းစွာ အမျက် ထွက် လျက်၊
7 He took a yoke of oxen, cut them into pieces, and sent them throughout all the territory of Israel with the messengers. He said, “Whoever does not come out after Saul and after Samuel, this is what will be done to his oxen.” Then the terror of Yahweh fell on the people, and they came out together as one man.
၇နွား တရှဉ်း ကို ယူ ၍ ခုတ်ဖြတ် ပြီးမှ ၊ သံတမန် တို့လက် တွင် ဣသရေလ ပြည် တရှောက်လုံး သို့ ပေး လိုက် ၍၊ ရှောလု နှင့် ရှမွေလ နောက် သို့ ထွက် ၍မ လိုက်သော သူ ၏ နွား တို့ကို ဤ ကဲ့သို့ပြု မည်ဟု ကြော်ငြာစေသဖြင့်၊ လူ တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကြောက် ၍ တညီတညွတ် တည်းထွက် လာကြ၏။
8 When he mustered them at Bezek, the people of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.
၈ဗေဇက် မြို့၌ တပ်စာရင်း ယူသောအခါ ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား သုံး သိန်း၊ ယုဒ အမျိုးသား သုံး သောင်း ရှိ ကြ၏။
9 They said to the messengers that came, “You will tell the men of Jabesh Gilead, 'Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you will be rescued.'” So the messengers went and told the men of Jabesh, and they were glad.
၉ဂိလဒ်ပြည်ယာဗက်မြို့မှ လာ သောတမန် တို့အား၊ နက်ဖြန် နေ့ နေ ပူ ချိန် ရောက် သောအခါ ချမ်းသာ ရမည် အကြောင်းကို၊ မြို့သား တို့အား ကြားပြော ကြလော့ဟု မှာလိုက်သည်အတိုင်း၊ တမန် တို့သည် သွား ၍ သိတင်းကြား ပြောသဖြင့် ယာဗက် မြို့သား တို့သည် ဝမ်းမြောက် ကြ၏။
10 Then the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Tomorrow we will surrender to you, and you can do to us whatever seems good to you.”
၁၀အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် နက်ဖြန် နေ့၌ ကိုယ်တော် ထံသို့ ထွက် ပါမည်။ ကိုယ်တော်အလို ရှိသမျှ အတိုင်း ပြု တော်မူပါဟု နာဟတ်မင်းအား လျှောက် ကြ၏။
11 The next day Saul put the people in three groups. They came into the middle of the camp during the morning watch, and they attacked and defeated the Ammonites until the heat of the day. Those who survived were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.
၁၁နက်ဖြန် နေ့၌ ရှောလု သည် လူ တို့ကို သုံး တပ် ခွဲ ပြီးမှ ၊ နံနက်ယံ အချိန်၌ ရန်သူအလုံးအရင်း ထဲသို့ ဝင် ၍ နေပူ ချိန်တိုင်အောင် အမ္မုန် အမျိုးသားတို့ကို လုပ်ကြံ သဖြင့် ၊ ကျန် ကြွင်းသောသူတယောက်နှင့် တယောက်ပေါင်း၍ မ နေ ရသည်တိုင်အောင် လူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ကွဲပြား လျက် ရှိကြ၏။
12 Then the people said to Samuel, “Who was it who said, 'Will Saul reign over us?' Bring the men, so we can put them to death.”
၁၂ဣသရေလလူ တို့ကလည်း ၊ ရှောလု သည် ငါ တို့ကို အုပ်စိုး ရမည်လောဟု ဆို မိသောသူကား အဘယ်သူ နည်း။ ထိုသို့ဆိုမိသောသူ တို့ကိုခေါ်၍ သတ် ကြကုန်အံ့ဟု ရှမွေလ အား ဆိုကြသော်၊
13 But Saul said, “No one must be put to death this day, because today Yahweh has rescued Israel.”
၁၃ရှောလု က၊ လူ တယောက်ကိုမျှ ယနေ့ မ သတ် ရ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ယနေ့ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးကို ကယ်တင် တော်မူပြီဟု ဆို ၏။
14 Then Samuel said to the people, “Come, let us go to Gilgal and renew the monarchy there.”
၁၄ရှမွေလ ကလည်း ၊ ဂိလဂါလ မြို့သို့သွား ၍ နိုင်ငံ တော်ကို ပြုပြင် ကြကုန်အံ့ဟု လူ များတို့အား ပြော ဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊
15 So all the people went to Gilgal and made Saul king before Yahweh in Gilgal. There they sacrificed peace offerings before Yahweh, and Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
၁၅လူ အပေါင်း တို့သည် ဂိလဂါလ မြို့သို့ သွား ၍ ၊ ထို မြို့၌ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်မှာ ရှောလု ကို ရှင် ဘုရင်အရာ၌ ချီးမြှောက်ကြ၏။ ထိုမြို့၌ လည်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်မှာ မိဿဟာယ ယဇ်ကို ပူဇော် သဖြင့် ၊ ရှောလု နှင့် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား အပေါင်း တို့သည် အလွန် ပျော်မွေ့ ခြင်းကို ပြုကြ၏။
