< 1 Samuel 11 >
1 Then Nahash the Ammonite went and laid seige to Jabesh Gilead. All the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you.”
Nahash mutumin Ammon ya haura ya kewaye Yabesh Gileyad da yaƙi. Dukan mutanen Yabesh suka ce masa, “Ka ƙulla amana da mu, mu kuwa za mu bauta maka.”
2 Nahash the Ammonite replied, “On this condition will I make a treaty with you, that I gouge out all of your right eyes, and in this way bring disgrace on all Israel.”
Amma Nahash ya ce, “Zan ƙulla amana da ku kawai a kan sharaɗin cewa zan ƙwaƙulo idon dama na kowannenku, ta haka za a kunyata Isra’ila.”
3 Then the elders of Jabesh replied to him, “Leave us alone for seven days, so that we may send messengers to all the territory of Israel. Then, if there is no one to save us, we will surrender to you.”
Dattawan Yabesh suka ce masa, “Ka ba mu kwana bakwai don mu aika manzanni a dukan ƙasar Isra’ila idan ba mu sami wanda zai cece mu ba, za mu ba da kanmu gare ka.”
4 The messengers came to Gibeah, where Saul lived, and told the people what had happened. All the people wept loudly.
Da manzannin suka zo Gibeya garin Shawulu, suka gaya wa mutane wannan sharaɗin, suka yi kuka mai zafi.
5 Now Saul was following the oxen out of the field. Saul said, “What is wrong with the people that they are weeping?” They told Saul what the men of Jabesh had said.
A daidai wannan lokacin kuwa Shawulu yana dawowa daga gona tare da shanunsa na noma, sai ya ce, “Me ya faru, mutane suna kuka haka?” Sai suka faɗa masa abin da mutanen Yabesh suka faɗa musu.
6 When Saul heard what they said, the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he was very angry.
Da Shawulu ya ji, sa Ruhun Allah ya sauko a kansa da iko, ya husata ƙwarai.
7 He took a yoke of oxen, cut them into pieces, and sent them throughout all the territory of Israel with the messengers. He said, “Whoever does not come out after Saul and after Samuel, this is what will be done to his oxen.” Then the terror of Yahweh fell on the people, and they came out together as one man.
Ya ɗauki shanu biyu, ya yayyanka su gunduwa-gunduwa, ya aika da su ko’ina a ƙasar Isra’ila ta wurin manzanni cewa, “Duk wanda bai fita ya bi Shawulu da Sama’ila ba, haka za a yi da shanunsa.” Mutanen suka ji tsoron Ubangiji suka fita gaba ɗaya kamar mutum guda.
8 When he mustered them at Bezek, the people of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.
Mutanen Isra’ila sun kai dubu ɗari uku. Mutanen Yahuda kuma dubu talatin, sa’ad da Shawulu ya tara su a Bezek.
9 They said to the messengers that came, “You will tell the men of Jabesh Gilead, 'Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you will be rescued.'” So the messengers went and told the men of Jabesh, and they were glad.
Suka ce wa’yan aikan da suka zo, “Ku faɗa wa mutanen Yabesh Gileyad, ‘Gobe, kafin rana tă yi zafi, za ku sami ceto.’” Sa’ad da’yan aikan suka tafi, suka ba da saƙon nan ga mutanen Yabesh, sai suka farin ciki.
10 Then the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Tomorrow we will surrender to you, and you can do to us whatever seems good to you.”
Suka ce wa Ammonawa, “Gobe za mu miƙa wuya gare ku, ku kuma yi duk abin da kuka ga dama.”
11 The next day Saul put the people in three groups. They came into the middle of the camp during the morning watch, and they attacked and defeated the Ammonites until the heat of the day. Those who survived were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.
Gari yana wayewa, sai Shawulu ya raba mutane kashi uku, a sa’a ta ƙarshe na daren sai suka fāɗa wa sansanin Ammonawa, suka kuma karkashe su har lokacin da rana ta yi zafi. Waɗanda suka kuɓuce kuwa suka warwatsu, har babu biyunsu da aka bari tare.
12 Then the people said to Samuel, “Who was it who said, 'Will Saul reign over us?' Bring the men, so we can put them to death.”
Sai mutane suka ce wa Sama’ila, “Su wa suka ce, ‘Shawulu zai yi mulkinmu?’ A kawo mana su mu kashe.”
13 But Saul said, “No one must be put to death this day, because today Yahweh has rescued Israel.”
Shawulu ya ce, “Ba wanda zai mutu yau, gama Ubangiji ya kuɓutar da Isra’ila a wannan rana.”
14 Then Samuel said to the people, “Come, let us go to Gilgal and renew the monarchy there.”
Sai Sama’ila ya ce wa mutane, “Ku zo mu tafi Gilgal, a can za a yi wankan sarauta.”
15 So all the people went to Gilgal and made Saul king before Yahweh in Gilgal. There they sacrificed peace offerings before Yahweh, and Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
Don haka dukan mutane suka tafi Gilgal, suka tabbatar da Shawulu sarki a gaban Ubangiji. A can suka miƙa hadaya ta salama a gaban Ubangiji, Shawulu kuwa da dukan Isra’ila suka yi babban liyafa.
