< 1 Kings 6 >

1 So Solomon began to build the temple of Yahweh. This happened in the 480th year after the people of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month.
Ní ìgbà tí ó pe ọ̀rìnlénírinwó ọdún lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí àwọn ọmọ Israẹli ti jáde kúrò ní ilẹ̀ Ejibiti, ní ọdún kẹrin ìjọba Solomoni lórí Israẹli, ní oṣù Sifi, tí ń ṣe oṣù kejì, ó sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí kọ́ ilé Olúwa.
2 The temple that King Solomon built for Yahweh was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high.
Ilé náà tí Solomoni ọba kọ́ fún Olúwa sì jẹ́ ọgọ́ta ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní gígùn, ogún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní ìbú àti ọgbọ̀n ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní gíga.
3 The portico in front of the temple's main hall was twenty cubits in length, equal to the width of the temple, and ten cubits deep in front of the temple.
Ìloro níwájú tẹmpili ilé náà, ogún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní gígùn rẹ̀, ìbú ilé náà, ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́wàá láti iwájú ilé náà.
4 For the house he made windows with frames that made them more narrow at the outside than on the inside.
Ó sì ṣe fèrèsé tí kò fẹ̀ fún ilé náà.
5 Against the walls of the main chamber he built rooms around it, around both the outer room and the inner room. He built rooms all around the sides.
Lára ògiri ilé náà ni ó bu yàrá yíká; àti tẹmpili àti ibi mímọ́ jùlọ ni ó sì ṣe yàrá yíká.
6 The lowest story was five cubits wide, the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide. For on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around so that the beams would not be inserted in the walls of the house.
Yàrá ìsàlẹ̀ sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ márùn-ún ní ìbú, ti àárín sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́fà ní ìbú, àti ẹ̀kẹta ìgbọ̀nwọ́ méje sì ni ìbú rẹ̀. Nítorí lóde ilé náà ni ó dín ìgbọ̀nwọ́ kọ̀ọ̀kan káàkiri, kí igi àjà kí ó má ba à wọ inú ògiri ilé náà.
7 The house was built of stones prepared at the quarry. No hammer, ax, or any iron tool was heard in the house while it was being built.
Ní kíkọ́ ilé náà, òkúta tí a ti gbẹ́ sílẹ̀ kí a tó mú un wá ibẹ̀ nìkan ni a lò, a kò sì gbúròó òòlù tàbí àáké tàbí ohun èlò irin kan nígbà tí a ń kọ́ ọ lọ́wọ́.
8 On the south side of the temple there was an entrance at the ground level, then one went up by stairs to the middle level, and from the middle to the third level.
Ẹnu-ọ̀nà yàrá ìsàlẹ̀ sì wà ní ìhà gúúsù ilé náà; wọ́n sì fi àtẹ̀gùn tí ó lórí gòkè sínú yàrá àárín, àti láti yàrá àárín bọ́ sínú ẹ̀kẹta.
9 So Solomon built the temple and finished it; he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó kọ́ ilé náà, ó sì parí rẹ̀, ó sì bo ilé náà pẹ̀lú àwọn ìtí igi àti pákó kedari.
10 He built the side rooms against the inner chambers of the temple, each side five cubits high; they were joined to the house with timbers of cedar.
Ó sì kọ́ yàrá ẹ̀gbẹ́ sí gbogbo ilé náà. Gígùn ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ márùn-ún, ó sì so wọ́n mọ́ ilé náà pẹ̀lú ìtì igi kedari.
11 The word of Yahweh came to Solomon, saying,
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa sì tọ Solomoni wá wí pé,
12 “Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in my statutes and do justice, keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will confirm my promise with you that I had made to David your father.
“Ní ti ilé yìí tí ìwọ ń kọ́ lọ́wọ́, bí ìwọ bá tẹ̀lé àṣẹ mi, tí ìwọ sì ṣe ìdájọ́ mi, tí o sì pa òfin mi mọ́ láti máa ṣe wọ́n, Èmi yóò mú ìlérí tí mo ti ṣe fún Dafidi baba rẹ̀ ṣẹ nípa rẹ̀.
13 I will live among the people of Israel and will not forsake them.”
Èmi yóò sì máa gbé àárín àwọn ọmọ Israẹli, èmi kì ó sì kọ Israẹli ènìyàn mi.”
14 So Solomon built the house and finished it.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Solomoni kọ́ ilé náà, ó sì parí rẹ̀.
15 Then he built the interior walls of the house with boards of cedar. From the floor of the house to the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood, and he covered the floor of the house with cypress boards.
Ó sì fi pákó kedari tẹ́ ògiri ilé náà nínú, láti ilẹ̀ ilé náà dé àjà rẹ̀, ó fi igi bò wọ́n nínú, ó sì fi pákó firi tẹ́ ilẹ̀ ilé náà.
16 He built twenty cubits onto the rear of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling. He built this room to be the inner room, the most holy place.
Ó pín ogún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ sí ẹ̀yìn ilé náà, láti ilẹ̀ dé àjà ilé ni ó fi pákó kedari kọ́, èyí ni ó kọ sínú, fún ibi tí a yà sí mímọ́ àní Ibi Mímọ́ Jùlọ.
17 The main hall, that is, the holy place that was in front of the most holy place, was forty cubits long.
Ní iwájú ilé náà, ogójì ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ni gígùn rẹ̀ jẹ́.
18 There was cedar inside the house, carved in the shape of gourds and open flowers. All was cedar inside. No stonework was visible on the inside.
Inú ilé náà sì jẹ́ kedari, wọ́n ṣe iṣẹ́ ọnà rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìrudí àti ìtànná. Gbogbo rẹ̀ sì jẹ́ kedari; a kò sì rí òkúta kan níbẹ̀.
19 Solomon prepared the inner room inside the house in order to place the ark of the covenant of Yahweh there.
Ó sì múra ibi mímọ́ jùlọ sílẹ̀ nínú ilé náà láti gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Olúwa ka ibẹ̀.
20 The inner room was twenty cubits in length, twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in height. Solomon overlaid the walls with pure gold and covered the altar with cedar wood.
Inú ibi mímọ́ náà sì jẹ́ ogún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní gígùn, ogún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní ìbú, àti ogún ìgbọ̀nwọ́ ní gíga. Ó sì fi kìkì wúrà bo inú rẹ̀ ó sì fi igi kedari bo pẹpẹ rẹ̀.
21 Solomon overlaid the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he placed chains of gold across the front of the inner room, and overlaid the front with gold.
Solomoni sì fi kìkì wúrà bo inú ilé náà, ó sì tan ẹ̀wọ̀n wúrà dé ojú ibi mímọ́ jùlọ, ó sì fi wúrà bò ó.
22 He overlaid the entire interior with gold until all the temple was finished. He also overlaid with gold the whole altar that belonged to the inner room.
Gbogbo ilé náà ni ó fi wúrà bò títí ó fi parí gbogbo ilé náà, àti gbogbo pẹpẹ tí ó wà níhà ibi mímọ́ jùlọ, ni ó fi wúrà bò.
23 Solomon made two cherubim of olivewood, each ten cubits high, for the inner room.
Ní inú ibi mímọ́ jùlọ ni ó fi igi olifi ṣe kérúbù méjì, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́wàá ní gíga.
24 One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long and its other wing was also five cubits long. So from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other there was a distance of ten cubits.
Apá kérúbù kìn-ín-ní sì jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ márùn-ún ní gíga, àti apá kérúbù kejì ìgbọ̀nwọ́ márùn-ún; ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́wàá láti ṣóńṣó apá kan dé ṣóńṣó apá kejì.
25 The other cherub also had a wingspan ten cubits. Both the cherubim were of the same dimensions and shape.
Ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́wàá sì ni kérúbù kejì pẹ̀lú, nítorí kérúbù méjèèjì jọ ara wọn ní ìwọ̀n ní títóbi àti títẹ̀wọ̀n bákan náà.
26 The height of one cherub was ten cubits and the other cherub was the same.
Gíga kérúbù kọ̀ọ̀kan jẹ́ ìgbọ̀nwọ́ mẹ́wàá.
27 Solomon placed the cherubim in the innermost room. The wings of the cherubim were stretched out so that the wing of one touched one wall and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall. Their wings touched one another in the middle of the most holy place.
Ó sì gbé àwọn kérúbù náà sínú ilé ti inú lọ́hùn ún, pẹ̀lú ìyẹ́ apá wọn ní nínà jáde. Ìyẹ́ apá kérúbù kan sì kan ògiri kan, nígbà tí ìyẹ́ apá èkejì sì kan ògiri kejì, ìyẹ́ apá wọn sì kan ara wọn láàrín yàrá náà.
28 Solomon overlaid the cherubim with gold.
Ó sì fi wúrà bo àwọn kérúbù náà.
29 He carved all the walls of the house around about with figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, in the outer and inner rooms.
Lára àwọn ògiri tí ó yí ilé náà ká, nínú àti lóde, ó sì ya àwòrán àwọn kérúbù sí i àti ti igi ọ̀pẹ, àti ti ìtànná ewéko.
30 Solomon overlaid the floor of the house with gold, in both the outer and inner rooms.
Ó sì tún fi wúrà tẹ́ ilẹ̀ ilé náà nínú àti lóde.
31 Solomon made doors of olivewood for the entrance to the inner room. The lintel and doorposts had five indented sections.
Nítorí ojú ọ̀nà ibi mímọ́ jùlọ ni ó ṣe ìlẹ̀kùn igi olifi sí pẹ̀lú àtẹ́rígbà àti òpó ìhà jẹ́ ìdámárùn-ún ògiri.
32 So he made two doors of olivewood, and he made on them carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers. He overlaid them with gold and he spread the gold on the cherubim and palm trees.
Àti lára ìlẹ̀kùn igi olifi náà ni ó ya àwòrán àwọn kérúbù, igi ọ̀pẹ àti ti ìtànná ewéko sí, ó sì fi wúrà bò wọ́n, ó sì tan wúrà sí ara àwọn kérúbù àti sí ara igi ọ̀pẹ.
33 In this way, Solomon also made for the temple entrance doorposts of olive wood having four indented sections
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó sì ṣe òpó igi olifi onígun mẹ́rin fún ìlẹ̀kùn ilé náà.
34 and two doors of cypress wood. The two leaves of the one door were folding and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
Ó sì tún fi igi firi ṣe ìlẹ̀kùn méjì, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan wọn sì ní ewé méjì tí ó yí sí ihò ìtẹ̀bọ̀.
35 He carved on them cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and he evenly overlaid gold on the carved work.
Ó sì ya àwòrán kérúbù, àti ti igi ọ̀pẹ àti ti ìtànná ewéko sí ara wọn, ó sì fi wúrà bò ó, èyí tí ó tẹ́ sórí ibi tí ó gbẹ́.
36 He built the inner courtyard with three rows of cut stone and a row of cedar beams.
Ó sì fi ẹsẹẹsẹ òkúta mẹ́ta gbígbẹ, àti ẹsẹ̀ kan ìtí kedari kọ́ àgbàlá ti inú lọ́hùn ún.
37 The foundation of the house of Yahweh was laid in the fourth year, in the month of Ziv.
Ní ọdún kẹrin ni a fi ìpìlẹ̀ ilé Olúwa lé ilẹ̀, ní oṣù Sifi.
38 In the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished in all its parts and conforming to all its specifications. Solomon took seven years to build the temple.
Ní ọdún kọkànlá ní oṣù Bulu, oṣù kẹjọ, a sì parí ilé náà jálẹ̀ jálẹ̀, pẹ̀lú gbogbo ìpín rẹ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bí gbogbo èyí tí ó yẹ. Ó sì lo ọdún méje ní kíkọ́ ilé náà.
