< 1 Kings 6 >
1 So Solomon began to build the temple of Yahweh. This happened in the 480th year after the people of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month.
Israel ca rhoek Egypt kho lamloh a coe uh te kum ya li neh kum sawmrhet dongah om coeng. Israel soah Solomon a manghai nah a kum li, a hla bae, Ziv hla vaengah BOEIPA im te a sak uh.
2 The temple that King Solomon built for Yahweh was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high.
Solomon manghai loh BOEIPA ham im te a yun dong sawmrhuk, a daang dong kul, a sang dong sawmthum la a sak.
3 The portico in front of the temple's main hall was twenty cubits in length, equal to the width of the temple, and ten cubits deep in front of the temple.
Bawkim im hmai kah ngalha he im hmai kah a daang neh a yun dong kul lo. Im hmai bueng kah a daang dong rha lo.
4 For the house he made windows with frames that made them more narrow at the outside than on the inside.
Im kah khohue bangbuet tah a caek la a saii.
5 Against the walls of the main chamber he built rooms around it, around both the outer room and the inner room. He built rooms all around the sides.
Im kah pangbueng taengah rhaenghmuen a sak tih, rhaenghmuen te bawkim kaepvai kah im pangbueng dongah pin om. Te phoeiah cangimphu neh impalai khaw pin a saii.
6 The lowest story was five cubits wide, the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide. For on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around so that the beams would not be inserted in the walls of the house.
Rhaenghmuen khaw a hmui kah rhaenghmuen tah a daang dong nga, a bangli ah a daang dong rhuk, a than thum ah a daang dong rhih lo. Im kah pangbueng khuila nen pawt ham im kah vongvoel ah amtloeng pin a khueh.
7 The house was built of stones prepared at the quarry. No hammer, ax, or any iron tool was heard in the house while it was being built.
Im a sak vaengah lungsong lung a hmabuet neh a sak. Thilung khaw, hai khaw, thi dongkah hnopai boeih te tah im a sak vaengah nuen sak pawh.
8 On the south side of the temple there was an entrance at the ground level, then one went up by stairs to the middle level, and from the middle to the third level.
Im bantang hael kah a bangli ah impalai thohka om. Te vaengah khenden khuihlak lamloh a bangli la, a bangli lamloh a than thum la luei uh.
9 So Solomon built the temple and finished it; he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
Im te a sak tangloeng tih a coeng nen tah im kah te tlueng neh, lamphai thingphael neh a khop.
10 He built the side rooms against the inner chambers of the temple, each side five cubits high; they were joined to the house with timbers of cedar.
Rhaenghmuen te im pum ah a sang dong nga la a sak tih im te lamphai thing neh a tuuk sak.
11 The word of Yahweh came to Solomon, saying,
Te vaengah BOEIPA ol te Solomon taengla ha pawk tih,
12 “Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in my statutes and do justice, keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will confirm my promise with you that I had made to David your father.
Im he na sak vanbangla, ka khosing dongah na pongpa tih ka laitloeknah he na vai atah, kai kah olpaek cungkuem dongah pongpa ham ngaithuen van. Te daengah ni na pa David taengah ka thui bangla ka ol he nang lamloh a thoh eh.
13 I will live among the people of Israel and will not forsake them.”
Israel ca lakli ah kho ka sak vetih ka pilnam Israel te ka hnoo mahpawh,” a ti nah.
14 So Solomon built the house and finished it.
Te tlam te Solomon loh im a sak tih a coeng.
15 Then he built the interior walls of the house with boards of cedar. From the floor of the house to the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood, and he covered the floor of the house with cypress boards.

Te vaengah im hmai kah bawkim mah dong sawmli lo coeng.
18 There was cedar inside the house, carved in the shape of gourds and open flowers. All was cedar inside. No stonework was visible on the inside.
Im khui kah lamphai te a khuiah padae muei bangla a thuk. Lamphai boeih te tamlaep bangla a phuelh sak dongah lungto tueng voel pawh.
19 Solomon prepared the inner room inside the house in order to place the ark of the covenant of Yahweh there.
Im khui kah cangimphu te khaw a khuiah BOEIPA kah paipi thingkawng khueh pahoi ham a rhoekbah.
20 The inner room was twenty cubits in length, twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in height. Solomon overlaid the walls with pure gold and covered the altar with cedar wood.

23 Solomon made two cherubim of olivewood, each ten cubits high, for the inner room.
Cangimphu khuikah cherubim rhoi te situi thing neh a sang dong rha la a saii.
24 One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long and its other wing was also five cubits long. So from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other there was a distance of ten cubits.
Cherubim lamhma kah a phae vang dong nga lo tih cherubim pabae kah a phae khaw dong nga lo. Te dongah a phae hmoi pakhat lamloh a phae hmoi pakhat hil he dong rha lo.
25 The other cherub also had a wingspan ten cubits. Both the cherubim were of the same dimensions and shape.
Cherubim a pabae te dong rha lo tih cherubim rhoi te cungnueh pakhat, a suisak pakhat la om.
26 The height of one cherub was ten cubits and the other cherub was the same.
Lamhma kah cherubim khaw, a pabae kah cherubim khaw a sang dong rha lo tangloeng.
27 Solomon placed the cherubim in the innermost room. The wings of the cherubim were stretched out so that the wing of one touched one wall and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall. Their wings touched one another in the middle of the most holy place.
Cherubim te im khuikah a laklung ah a khueh. Cherubim a phae te a phuel vaengah pakhat kah a phae loh pangbueng te a ben tih, a pabae cherubim kah a phae long khaw khatben kah pangbueng te a ben. Im laklung kah a phae rhoi khaw a phae neh a phae te ben uh rhoi.

Im kah cirhong te a khui ah khaw, poeng ah khaw sui a ben.
31 Solomon made doors of olivewood for the entrance to the inner room. The lintel and doorposts had five indented sections.
Cangimphu thohka kah thohkhaih te situi thing a saii tih ngalha neh rhungsut he a vae panga aka om rhungsut ngalha la a saii.
32 So he made two doors of olivewood, and he made on them carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers. He overlaid them with gold and he spread the gold on the cherubim and palm trees.
