1 Kings 5
1 Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon for he had heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father; for Hiram had always loved David.
१हिराम हा सोराचा (तायरचा) राजा होता. त्याने आपल्या सेवकांना शलमोनाकडे पाठवले कारण त्याने ऐकले होते की, शलमोनाचा अभिषेक होऊन त्याच्या वडिलांच्या जागेवर राजा झाला आहे, त्याचे दाविदाशी सख्य होते.
2 Solomon sent word to Hiram, saying,
२शलमोनाने राजा हिरामला असा निरोप पाठवला.
3 “You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of Yahweh his God because of the wars that surrounded him, for during his lifetime Yahweh was putting his enemies under the soles of his feet.
३“तुम्हास माहित आहे माझे वडिल दावीद सतत युध्दात गुंतलेले असल्यामुळे त्यांना परमेश्वर देवासाठी मंदिर बांधता आले नाही. सर्व शत्रूंना पायदळी तुडवीपर्यंत ते थांबले होते.
4 But now, Yahweh my God has given me rest on every side. There is neither adversary nor disaster.
४परंतु आता परमेश्वराने सर्व बाजूंनी माझ्या राज्याला शांतता दिली आहे. मला आता शत्रू किंवा अरिष्ट राहीले नाही.
5 So I intend to build a temple for the name of Yahweh my God, as Yahweh spoke to David my father, saying, 'Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, will build the temple for my name.'
५परमेश्वराने माझे वडिल दाविदाला वचन दिले होते. परमेश्वराने सांगितले होते, ‘तुझ्यानंतर मी तुझ्या मुलाला राजा करीन. तो माझ्या सन्मानार्थ मंदिर बांधील’ त्याप्रमाणे माझ्या परमेश्वर देवाच्या सन्मानार्थ मंदिर बाधण्याची माझी योजना आहे.
6 Now therefore command that they cut cedars from Lebanon for me. My servants will join your servants, and I will pay you for your servants so that you are paid fairly for everything you agreed to do. For you know there is no one among us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.”
६तर आता माझ्यासाठी तुम्ही तुमची माणसे लबानोन येथे पाठवा तेथील गंधसरुची झाडे त्यांना माझ्यासाठी कापायला सांगा. माझेही चाकर मी त्यांच्याबरोबर पाठवीन. तुम्ही तुमच्या नोकरांची जी मजुरी ठरवाल ती मी देईन. तुम्हास माहित आहे की आमचे लोक तुमच्या सीदोनी लोकांइतके कुशल नाहीत.”
7 When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly and said, “May Yahweh be blessed today, who has given to David a wise son over this great people.”
७हिरामाला शलमोनाचे शब्द ऐकूण फार आनंद झाला व तो म्हणाला, “दाविदाला एवढा ज्ञानी पुत्र या मोठ्या देशावर राज्य करण्यासाठी दिल्याबद्दल मी परमेश्वराचे आभार मानतो.”
8 Hiram sent word to Solomon, saying, “I have heard the message that you have sent to me. I will provide all the wood of cedar and cypress that you desire.
८मग हिरामने शलमोनाला असा संदेश पाठवला, “तुझे म्हणणे मला कळले. देवदार आणि गंधसरुची तुला हवी तितकी झाडे मी तुझ्या ईच्छेप्रमाणे देईन.
9 My servants will bring the trees down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will make them into rafts to go by sea to the place that you direct me. I will have them broken up there, and you will take them away. You will do what I desire by giving food for my household.”
९माझे नोकर ती लबानोनातून समुद्रापर्यंत वाहून आणतील मग त्याचे तराफे करून तुला हव्या त्याठिकाणी समुद्रावरुन ते आणतील. तेथे ते तराफे सोडवले जातील. मग तेथून तू घे. माझ्या सेवकांना अन्नपुरवठा तू दिला तो माझ्या ईच्छेनुसार पुरेसा असेल.”
10 So Hiram gave Solomon all the timber of cedar and fir that he desired.
१०हिरामने शलमोनाला त्याच्या गरजेप्रमाणे सर्व गंधसरु व देवदारुची लाकडे पुरवली.
11 Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household and twenty measures of pure oil. Solomon gave this to Hiram year by year.
११शलमोनाने हिरामला त्याच्या कुटुंबासाठी दरवर्षी वीस हजार कोर गहू आणि वीस कोर शुद्ध तेल दिले.
12 Yahweh gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a covenant.
१२परमेश्वराने शलमोनाला कबूल केल्याप्रमाणे, त्याने त्यास शहाणपण दिले. आणि हिराम व शलमोन या दोघांमध्ये सख्य निर्माण झाले. या दोन राजांनी आपसात शांततेचा करार केला.
13 King Solomon conscripted labor out of all Israel. The forced laborers numbered thirty thousand men.
१३शलमोन राजाने सर्व इस्राएल लोंकावर वेठबिगार बसवला यासाठी तीस हजार माणसे नेमली.
14 He sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month in shifts. One month they were in Lebanon and two months at home. Adoniram was over the men who were subjected to forced labor.
१४अदोनीराम नावाच्या मनुष्यास त्यांचा प्रमुख म्हणून नेमले. प्रत्येक गटात दहा हजार माणसे होती. प्रत्येक गट लबानोनात एक महिना काम करी आणि घरी परतून दोन महिने आराम करत.
15 Solomon had seventy thousand who carried burdens and eighty thousand who were stonecutters in the mountains,
१५ऐंशी हजार लोकांस शलमोन राजाने डोंगराळ भागात कामाला लावले. त्यांना पाथरवटाचे काम होते. दगड वाहून नेणारी माणसे सत्तर हजार होती.
16 besides Solomon's 3,300 chief officers who were over the work and who supervised the workers.
१६शलमोनाच्या कामावरील मुख्य अमलदाराखेरीज आणखी तीन हजार तीनशे अधिकारी कामकरी लोकांवर देखरेख करण्यास नेमले होते.
17 At the king's command they quarried large stones of high quality with which to lay the foundation of the temple.
१७त्यांना शलमोन राजाने मोठे, मौल्यवान चिरे मंदिराच्या पायासाठी म्हणून कापायला सांगितले. ते फार काळजीपूर्वक कापण्यात आले.
18 So Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders and the Gebalites did the cutting and prepared the timber and the stones to build the temple.
१८मग शलमोन आणि हिरामच्या बांधकाम करणाऱ्यांनी आणि गिबली येथल्या लोकांनी ते चांगले घडवले. मंदिर उभारणीसाठी घडीव चिरे आणि ओंडके त्यांनी तयार केले.
