1 Kings 17
1 Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, “As Yahweh, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there will not be dew or rain these years unless I say so.”
১পাছত গিলিয়দ-প্ৰবাসীসকলৰ মাজৰ তিচবীয়া এলিয়াই আহাবক ক’লে, “মই যি জনৰ সাক্ষাতে থিয় হৈ আছোঁ, সেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ জীৱনৰ শপত, এই কেইবছৰ নিয়ৰ বা বৰষুণ নহ’ব; কেৱল মোৰ বাক্য অনুসাৰে হ’ব।”
2 The word of Yahweh came to Elijah, saying,
২পাছত এলিয়াৰ ওচৰলৈ যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য আহিল বোলে,
3 “Leave from here and go eastward; hide yourself by the brook Kerith, east of the Jordan.
৩“তুমি এই ঠাই ত্যাগ কৰা, পূব দিশে যৰ্দ্দনৰ সন্মুখত থকা কৰীৎ জুৰিলৈ যোৱা, আৰু তাৰ কাষত নিজে গৈ লুকাই থাকা।
4 It will happen that you will drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
৪তাতে তুমি সেই জুৰিৰ পানী পান কৰিবলৈ পাবা আৰু সেই ঠাইত তোমাৰ খোৱা বস্তু যোগাৰ কৰিবলৈ মই ঢোঁৰা-কাউৰীবোৰক আজ্ঞা দিলোঁ।”
5 So Elijah went and did as the word of Yahweh commanded. He went to live by the brook Kerith, east of the Jordan.
৫তেতিয়া তেওঁ গৈ যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য অনুসাৰে সেই কাৰ্য কৰিলে; তেওঁ গৈ যৰ্দ্দনৰ সন্মুখত থকা কৰীৎ জুৰিৰ কাষত বাস কৰিলে।
6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.
৬তাতে ঢোঁৰা-কাউৰীবোৰে তেওঁৰ কাৰণে ৰাতিপুৱা আৰু সন্ধিয়া সময়ত পিঠা আৰু মঙহ আনি দিছিল আৰু তেওঁ সেই জুৰিৰ পানী পান কৰিছিল।
7 But after a while the brook dried up because there was no rain in the land.
৭কিন্তু কিছু সময়ৰ পাছত দেশত বৰষুণ নোহোৱাৰ কাৰণে সেই জুৰিৰ পানী শুকাই গ’ল।
8 The word of Yahweh came to him, saying,
৮সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য আহিল বোলে,
9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and live there. Look, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”
৯“তুমি উঠি গৈ চীদোনৰ অধীনত থকা চাৰিফতত বাস কৰাগৈ; আৰু চোৱা, সেই ঠাইত তোমাৰ খোৱা বস্তু যোগাবলৈ মই এজনী বিধৱা মহিলাক আজ্ঞা কৰিলোঁ।”
10 So he arose and went to Zarephath, and when he came to the gate of the city a widow was there gathering sticks. So he called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a jar so that I may drink.”
১০তেতিয়া তেওঁ উঠি চাৰিফতলৈ যাত্ৰা কৰিলে, আৰু যেতিয়া তেওঁ সেই নগৰৰ দুৱাৰ-মুখ পালে, তেতিয়া সেই ঠাইত তেওঁ এজনী বিধৱা মহিলাক খৰি বুটলি থকা দেখিলে৷ তেতিয়া তেওঁ তাইক মাতি ক’লে, “বিনয় কৰোঁ, পান কৰিবৰ বাবে মোলৈ এটা পাত্ৰত পানী অলপ আনা।”
11 As she was going to get water he called to her, and said, “Please bring me a piece of bread in your hand.”
১১তেতিয়া সেই মহিলাগৰাকীয়ে তেওঁলৈ পানী আনিবলৈ যাওঁতে, তেওঁ তাইক আকৌ মাতি ক’লে, “বিনয় কৰোঁ, তুমি মোৰ কাৰণে এডোখৰ পিঠাও হাতত লৈ আহিবা।”
12 She replied, “As Yahweh your God lives, I do not have any bread, but only a handful of meal in a jar and a little oil in a jug. See, I am gathering two sticks so I may go in and cook it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”
১২তেতিয়া তাই ক’লে, “তোমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ জীৱনৰ শপত, মোৰ ঘৰত এটি পিঠাও নাই; কেৱল বয়ামত এমুঠিমান আটাগুড়ি আৰু টেকেলিত এটোপমান তেল আছে৷ চোৱা, মোৰ আৰু মোৰ ল’ৰাটিৰ কাৰণে তাৰে ৰান্ধিবলৈ মই দুডালমান খৰি যোগাৰ কৰি আছোঁ; আৰু এইখিনি খোৱাৰ পাছতে আমাৰ মৃত্যু হ’ব।
13 Elijah said to her, “Do not fear. Go and do as you have said, but make me a little bread first and bring it out to me. Then afterward make some for you and for your son.
১৩তেতিয়া এলিয়াই তাইক ক’লে, “ভয় নকৰিবা। তুমি যি ক’লা, তাকেই কৰাগৈ, কিন্তু প্ৰথমে তাৰে মোৰ কাৰণে এটি সৰু পিঠা তৈয়াৰ কৰা, তাৰ পাছত তোমাৰ আৰু তোমাৰ ল’ৰাটিৰ কাৰণে তৈয়াৰ কৰিবা।
14 For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, 'The jar of meal will not empty, neither will the jug of oil stop flowing, until the day that Yahweh sends rain on the earth.”
১৪কিয়নো ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে যে, “যিহোৱাই পৃথিৱীত বৰষুণ নেপেলোৱালৈকে সেই বয়ামৰ আটাগুড়ি উদং নহ’ব আৰু সেই টেকেলিৰ তেলো শেষ নহ’ব।”
15 So she did as Elijah had told her. She and Elijah, along with her household, ate for many days.
১৫তেতিয়া তাই গৈ এলিয়াৰ বাক্যৰ দৰেই কৰিলে আৰু তেতিয়াৰে পৰা এলিয়া, তাই আৰু তাইৰ ল’ৰাটিয়ে বহুদিনলৈকে খাবলৈ পালে।
16 The jar of meal did not empty, neither did the jug of oil stop flowing, just as the word of Yahweh had said, as he had spoken by Elijah.
১৬যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য অনুসাৰে এলিয়াৰ দ্ৱাৰাই কোৱা সেই কথাৰ দৰে সেই বয়ামৰ আটাগুড়ি উদং নহ’ল আৰু সেই টেকেলিৰ তেলৰো ওৰ নপৰিল।
17 After these things the woman's son, the woman who owned the house, fell sick. His sickness was so severe that there was no more breath left in him.
১৭এই ঘটনা ঘটি যোৱাৰ পাছত, সেই ঘৰৰ গৃহিনীজনীৰ ল’ৰাজন বেমাৰত পৰিল। পাছত ল’ৰাজনৰ বেমাৰ ইমান টান হ’ল যে, তাৰ শৰীৰৰ নিশ্বাস বন্ধ হৈ গ’ল।
18 So his mother said to Elijah, “What do you have against me, man of God? Have you come to me to remind me of my sin and to kill my son?”
১৮তেতিয়া ল’ৰাটিৰ মাতৃয়ে এলিয়াক ক’লে, “হে ঈশ্বৰৰ লোক, আপোনাৰ লগত মোৰ কি সমন্ধ? আপুনি জনো মোৰ অপৰাধ সোঁৱৰাবলৈ আৰু মোৰ পুত্ৰক মাৰি পেলাবলৈ আহিছে!”
19 Then Elijah replied to her, “Give me your son.” He took the boy from her arms and carried him up into the room where he was staying, and he laid the boy on his own bed.
১৯তেতিয়া এলিয়াই তাইক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ ল’ৰাটিক মোক দিয়া।” পাছত তাইৰ কোলাৰ পৰা তেওঁ ল’ৰাজনক ল’লে, আৰু নিজে থকা ওপৰ কোঠালিলৈ তাক লৈ গ’ল; তাতে তেওঁ নিজৰ শয্যাত সেই ল’ৰাজনক শুৱাই হ’ল।
20 He cried to Yahweh and said, “Yahweh my God, have you also brought disaster on the widow with whom I am staying, by killing her son?”
২০তেওঁ যিহোৱাৰ আগত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি ক’লে, “হে মোৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱা, মই যি বিধৱাৰ ঘৰত প্ৰৱাস কৰি আছোঁ, আপুনি জনো তাইৰ ল’ৰাটিক মাৰি পেলাই তাইলৈয়ো অমঙ্গল ঘটাইছে নে?”
21 Then Elijah stretched himself on the child three times; he cried out to Yahweh and said, “Yahweh my God, I beg you, please let this child's life return to him.”
২১তেতিয়া তেওঁ ল’ৰাটিৰ ওপৰত তিনিবাৰ দীঘল হৈ পৰি যিহোৱাৰ আগত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি ক’লে, “হে মোৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱা, মই বিনয় কৰোঁ, এই ল’ৰাটিৰ ভিতৰলৈ পুনৰায় প্ৰাণ ঘূৰাই আনক।”
22 Yahweh listened to the voice of Elijah; the life of the child returned to him, and he revived.
২২তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই এলিয়াৰ সেই কথা শুনিলে; ল’ৰাটিৰ প্ৰাণ তাৰ ভিতৰলৈ পুনৰায় ঘূৰি আহিল আৰু সি সুস্থ হ’ল৷
23 Elijah took the child and brought him out of his room down into the house; he handed the boy to his mother and said, “See, your son is alive.”
২৩তাৰ পাছত এলিয়াই ল’ৰাটি লৈ ওপৰ কোঁঠালিৰ পৰা নামি আহি ঘৰৰ ভিতৰত সোমাই তাৰ মাতৃৰ হাতত শোধাই দি ক’লে, “চোৱা, তোমাৰ এই ল’ৰাটি জীৱিত আছে।”
24 The woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of Yahweh in your mouth is true.”
২৪তেতিয়া সেই মহিলাগৰাকীয়ে এলিয়াক ক’লে, “এতিয়া মই জানিলোঁ যে, আপুনি ঈশ্বৰৰ লোক আৰু আপোনাৰ মুখত থকা যিহোৱাৰ বাক্যও সত্য।”
