< 1 Kings 16 >

1 The word of Yahweh came to Jehu son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,
Ary tonga tamin’ i Jeho, zanak’ i Hanany, ny tenin’ i Jehovah ny amin i Basa nanao hoe:
2 “Although I exalted you out of the dust and made you leader over my people Israel, you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made my people Israel to sin, so as to provoke me to anger with their sins.
Satria nasandratro avy tamin’ ny vovoka ianao ka notendreko ho mpanapaka ny Isiraely oloko; nefa kosa nandeha tamin’ ny lalan’ i Jeroboama ihany ianao ary nampanota ny Isiraely oloko ka nampahatezitra Ahy tamin’ ny fahotany,
3 See, I will completely sweep away Baasha and his family and I will make your family like the family of Jeroboam son of Nebat.
dia, indro, hofongorako Basa sy ny taranany, ary ny taranakao hataoko tahaka ny taranak’ Jeroboama, zanak’ i Nebata.
4 The dogs will eat anyone belonging to Baasha who dies in the city, and the birds of the sky will eat anyone who dies in the fields.”
Koa izay tamingan’ i Basa maty ao an-tanàna dia hohanin’ ny alika; ary izay tamingany maty any an-tsaha dia hohanin’ ny voro-manidina.
5 As for the other matters concerning Baasha, what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel?
Ary ny tantaran’ i Basa sisa mbamin’ izay nataony ary ny heriny, tsy efa voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ ny tantaran’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely va izany?
6 Baasha slept with his ancestors and was buried in Tirzah, and Elah his son became king in his place.
Ary Basa lasa nodimandry any amin’ ny razany, dia nalevina tao Tirza; ary Elaha zanany no nanjaka nandimby azy.
7 So by the prophet Jehu son of Hanani the word of Yahweh came against Baasha and his family, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of Yahweh, so as to provoke him to anger with the work of his hands, like the family of Jeroboam, and also because he had killed all of Jeroboam's family.
Ary Jeho mpaminany zanak’ i Hanany, dia nampitondraina ny tenin’ i Jehovah ny amin’ i Basa sy ny taranany, satria nanao ratsy teo imason’ i Jehovah ka nampahatezitra Azy tamin’ ny asan’ ny tanany, ka dia tonga tahaka ny mpianakavin’ i Jeroboama, ary satria namono ireo izy.
8 In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah; he reigned two years.
Tamin’ ny taona fahenina amby roa-polo nanjakan’ i Asa, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, no vao nanjakan’ i Elaha, zanak’ i Basa, tamin’ ny Isiraely tao Tirza, ary nanjaka roa taona izy.
9 His servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now Elah was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah.
Ary Zimry mpanompony, komandin’ ny antsasaky ny kalesiny, nikomy taminy, raha nisotro ho mamo tao Tirza, tao an-tranon’ i Arza, lehiben’ ny tao an-dapa tao Tirza, izy.
10 Zimri went in, attacked him and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and became king in his place.
Dia niditra Zimry ka namely an’ i Elaha ho faty tamin’ ny taona fahafito amby roa-polo nanjakan’ i Asa, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, ary izy no nanjaka nisolo azy.
11 When Zimri began to reign and was seated on his throne, he killed all the family of Baasha. He did not leave alive a single male belonging to Baasha's relatives or friends.
Ary nony vao nanjaka Zimry ka nipetraka tamin’ ny seza fiandrianany, dia namono ny mpianakavin’ i Basa rehetra izy; ka tsy navelany hisy miangana na dia lehilahy iray akory aza, na tamin’ ny havany, na tamin’ ny sakaizany.
12 So Zimri destroyed all the family of Baasha, according to the word of Yahweh which he spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,
Toy izany no nandringanan’ i Zimry ny mpianakavin’ i Basa rehetra, araka ny tenin’ i Jehovah izay nampilazainy an’ i Jehovah mpaminany ny amin’ i Basa,
13 for all the sins of Baasha and the sins of Elah his son that they committed, and by which they had led Israel to sin, so that they provoked Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their idols.
noho ny fahotany rehetra sy ny fahotan’ i Elaha zanany koa, izay nataony sady nampanotany ny Isiraely ka nampahatezitra an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, tamin’ ny zava-poanany.
14 As for the other matters concerning Elah, all that he did, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel?
Ary ny tantaran’ i Elaha sisa mbamin’ izay rehetra nataony, tsy efa voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ ny tantaran’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely va izany?
15 In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned only for seven days in Tirzah. Now the army was camped by Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.
Tamin’ ny taona fahafito amby roa-polo nanjakan’ i Asa, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, no nanjakan’ i Zimry hafitoana tao Tirza. Ary ny olona nanao fahirano an’ i Gibetona, izay an’ ny Filistina.
16 The army camped there heard it said, “Zimri has plotted and has killed the king.” So that day in the camp, all Israel declared Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel.
Ary ny olona izay nitoby teo dia nandre hoe: Efa nikomy Zimry sady efa namono ny mpanjaka koa; ary ny Isiraely rehetra tany an-tobiny nampanjaka an’ i Omry, komandin’ ny miaramila, androtrizay ihany ho mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely.
17 Omri went up from Gibbethon and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.
Dia niakatra avy tao Gibetona Omry sy ny Isiraely rehetra niaraka taminy, ka dia nanao fahirano an’ i Tirza.
18 So when Zimri saw that the city had been taken, he went into the fortress attached to the king's palace and set fire to the building over him; in this way he died in the flames.
Ary nony hitan’ i Zimry fa afaka ny tanana, dia lasa niditra tao amin’ ny trano avo amin’ ny lapa izy, ary nodorany tamin’ ny afo ny lapa, ka may tao izy, dia maty
19 This was for the sins that he had committed in doing what was evil in the sight of Yahweh, by walking in the way of Jeroboam and in the sin that he had committed, so as to lead Israel to sin.
noho ny fahotana izay nataony tamin’ ny nanaovany izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah, tamin’ ny nandehanany tamin’ ny lalan’ i Jeroboama sy tamin’ ny fahotana izay nataony sady nampanotany ny Isiraely.
20 As for the other matters concerning Zimri, and the treason that he carried out, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel?
Ary ny tantaran’ i Zimry sisa mbamin’ ny fikomiany, tsy efa voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ ny tantaran’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely va izany?
21 Then the people of Israel were divided into two parts. Half of the people followed Tibni son of Ginath, to make him king, and half followed Omri.
Ary tamin’ izany dia nizara roa ny lehilahy amin’ ny Isiraely: ny antsasany nomba an i Tibny, zanak’ i Ginata, hampanjaka azy; ary ny antsasany kosa nomba an’ i Omry.
22 But the people who followed Omri were stronger than the people who followed Tibni son of Ginath. So Tibni died, and Omri became king.
Fa ny olona izay nomba an’ i Omry naharesy ny olona izay nomba an’ i Tibny, zanak’ i Ginata; ka dia maty Tibny, ary Omry no nanjaka.
23 Omri began to reign over Israel in the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned twelve years. He reigned from Tirzah for six years.
Tamin’ ny taona fahiraika amby telo-polo nanjakan’ i Asa, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, no vao nanjakan’ i Omry; ary nanjaka roa ambin’ ny folo taona tamin’ ny Isiraely izy; tao Tirza no nanjakany enin-taona.
24 He bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver. He built a city on the hill and called the name of the city Samaria, after the name of Shemer, the past owner of the hill.
Ary novidiny talenta volafotsy roa tamin’ i Samera ny havoan’ i Samaria, dia nanao tanàna teo an-tampon’ ny havoana izy, ary nataony hoe Samaria, araka ny anaran’ i Samera, tompon’ ny havoana, ny anaran’ ny tanàna.
25 Omri did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh and acted more wickedly than all who had been before him.
Fa Omry nanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah; eny, nanao ratsy mihoatra noho izay rehetra teo alohany izy;
26 For he walked in all the ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat and in his sins by which he led Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to be angry with their worthless idols.
fa nandeha tamin’ ny lalana rehetra nalehan’ i Jeroboama, zanak’ i Nebata, sy tamin’ ny fahotana izay nampanotany ny Isiraely izy ka nampahatezitra an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, tamin’ ny zava-poanany.
27 As for the other matters concerning Omri which he did, and the might that he showed, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel?
Ary ny tantaran’ i Omry sisa mbamin’ izay nataony sy ny heriny izay nasehony, tsy efa voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ ny tantaran’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely va izany?
28 So Omri slept with his ancestors and was buried in Samaria and Ahab his son became king in his place.
Ary Omry lasa nodi-mandry any amin’ ny razany, dia nalevina tao Samaria izy; ary Ahaba zanany no nanjaka nandimby azy.
29 In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab son of Omri began to reign over Israel. Ahab son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.
Ary Ahaba, zanak’ i Omry, vao nanjaka tamin’ ny Isiraely tamin’ ny taona fahavalo amby telo-polo nanjakan’ i Asa, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, ary nanjaka tamin’ ny Isiraely tao Samaria roa amby roa-polo Taona izy.
30 Ahab son of Omri did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh, more than all those who were before him.
Ary Ahaba, zanak’ i Omry, nanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah mihoatra noho izay rehetra teo alohany.
31 It was to Ahab a trivial thing to walk in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, so he took as his wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; he went and worshiped Baal and bowed down to him.
Fa nataony ho zavatra kely foana ny handeha amin’ ny fahotan’ i Jeroboama, zanak’ i Nebata, ka dia nampakatra an’ i Jezebela, zanakavavin’ i Etibala, mpanjakan’ ny Sidoniana, izy ho vadiny, dia nandeha nanompo an’ i Bala ka niankohoka teo anatrehany.
32 He built an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.
Ary nanao alitara ho an’ i Bala tao amin’ ny tranon’ i Bala izay nataony tao Samaria izy.
33 Ahab made an Asherah pole. Ahab did even more to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who had been before him.
Ary Ahaba nanao ny Aseraha ka nampahatezitra an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, mihoatra noho ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely rehetra izay teo alohany.
34 During Ahab's rule, Hiel of Bethel rebuilt Jericho. Hiel laid the foundation of the city at the cost of the life of Abiram, his firstborn son; and Segub, his youngest son, lost his life while he was building the gates of the city, in keeping with the word of Yahweh which he spoke by Joshua son of Nun.
Tamin’ ny andron’ i Ahaba no nanorenan’ i Hiela Betelita an’ i Jeriko; ny ain’ i Abìrama lahimatoany no sazin’ ny nanorenany ny fanambaniny, ary ny ain’ i Segoba faralahiny no sazin’ ny nananganany ny vavahadiny, araka ny tenin’ i Jehovah izay nampilazainy an’ i Josoa, zanak’ i Nona.
