< 1 Kings 11 >

1 Now King Solomon loved many foreign women including the daughter of Pharaoh—women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites.
Fa Solomona mpanjaka tia vehivavy maro hafa firenena, fa tsy ilay zanakavavin’ i Farao ihany, dia vehivavy Moabita sy Amonita sy Edomita sy Sidoniana ary Hetita,
2 They were from the nations about which Yahweh said to the people of Israel, “You will not go among them to marry, neither will they come among you, for they will certainly turn your heart to their gods.” In spite of this command, Solomon was affectionate toward these women in love.
dia vehivavy avy amin’ ny firenena izay nolazain’ i Jehovah tamin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely hoe: Tsy hanambady azy ianareo, ary izy tsy hanambady anareo, fa hampivily ny fonareo hanaraka ny andriamaniny tokoa izy; kanjo tamin’ ireo no niraiketan’ ny fitiavan’ i Solomona.
3 Solomon had seven hundred royal wives and three hundred concubines. His wives turned his heart away.
Ary dia nanana vady andriambavy fiton-jato sy vaditsindrano telonjato izy, ka nampivily ny fony ireo vadiny ireo.
4 For when Solomon grew old, his wives turned away his heart after other gods; his heart was not fully surrendered to Yahweh his God, as was the heart of David his father.
Fa nony efa antitra Solomona, dia navilin’ ny vadiny ny fony hanaraka andriamani-kafa, ka ny fony tsy mba nahitsy tamin’ i Jehovah Andriamaniny tahaka ny fon’ i Davida rainy.
5 For Solomon followed Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, and he followed Molech, the disgusting idol of the Ammonites.
Fa Solomona nanaraka an’ i Astarta, andriamani-bavin’ ny Sidoniana, sy Milkoma, fahavetavetan’ ny Amonita.
6 Solomon did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh; he did not fully follow Yahweh as David his father had done.
Ary Solomona nanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah, ka tsy mba tanteraka tamin’ ny fanarahana Azy tahaka an’ i Davida rainy.
7 Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh, the disgusting idol of Moab, on a hill east of Jerusalem, and also for Molech, the disgusting idol of the people of Ammon.
Ary tamin’ izany Solomona dia nanao fitoerana avo ho an’ i Kemosy, fahavetavetan’ i Moaba, teo amin’ ny havoana tandrifin’ i Jerosalema, ary ho an’ i Moloka, fahavetavetan’ ny taranak’ i Amona.
8 He also built high places for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods at them.
Ary toy izany koa no nataony ho an’ izay vadiny hafa firenena rehetra, izay nandoro ditin-kazo manitra sy namono zavatra hatao fanatitra ho an’ ny andriamaniny.
9 Yahweh was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from him, the God of Israel, even though he had appeared to him twice
Ary Jehovah tezitra tamin’ i Solomona noho ny nivilian’ ny fony niala tamin’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, Izay efa niseho taminy indroa
10 and commanded him about this very thing, that he should not go after other gods. But Solomon did not obey what Yahweh commanded.
sady efa nandidy azy ny amin’ izany zavatra izany tsy hanaraka andriamani-kafa; nefa tsy nitandrina izay nandidian’ i Jehovah izy.
11 Therefore Yahweh said to Solomon, “Because you have done this and have not kept the covenant and my statutes that I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and give it to your servant.
Ka dia hoy Jehovah tamin’ i Solomona: Satria efa tonga ao am-ponao izao, ka tsy notandremanao ny fanekeko sy ny didiko izay nandidiako anao, dia hendahako ho afaka aminao tokoa ny fanjakana ka homeko ny mpanomponao.
12 However, for David your father's sake, I will not do it in your lifetime, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son.
Kanefa kosa tsy hataoko amin’ ny andronao izany noho ny amin’ i Davida rainao; fa rehefa mby amin’ ny zanakao vao hendahako aminy.
13 Yet I will not tear away all the kingdom; I will give one tribe to your son for David my servant's sake, and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.”
Nefa tsy dia hendahako avokoa ny fanjakana rehetra, fa mba homeko firenena iray ihany ny zanakao noho ny amin’ i Davida mpanompoko sy Jerosalema izay nofidiko.
14 Then Yahweh raised up an adversary to Solomon, Hadad the Edomite. He was from the royal family of Edom.
Ary Jehovah nanangana fahavalo hanohitra an’ i Solomona, dia Hadada Edomita, tamingan’ ny mpanjakan’ i Edoma.
15 When David was in Edom, Joab the captain of the army had gone up to bury the dead, every man who had been killed in Edom.
Fa rehefa nanafika an’ i Edoma Davida, ary Joaba, komandin’ ny miaramila, niakatra handevina ny maty ary efa namono ny lehilahy rehetra tany
16 Joab and all Israel remained there six months until he had killed every male in Edom.
(fa enim-bolana no nitoeran’ i Joaba sy ny Isiraely rehetra tany Edoma mandra-pandringany ny lehilahy rehetra tany),
17 But Hadad was taken with other Edomites by his father's servants into Egypt, since Hadad was still a little child.
dia nandositra Hadada sy ny Edomita, sasany mpanompon-drainy izay nanaraka azy ka nankany Egypta; fa mbola zazalahy kely Hadada tamin’ izay.
18 They left Midian and came to Paran, from where they took men with them to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt, who gave him a house and land and food.
Ary niainga niala tany Midiana ireo ka tonga tany Parana; dia naka olona avy tany Parana homba azy izy ka nankany Egypta ho any amin’ i Farao, mpanjakan’ i Egypta, izay nanome azy trano sy tany sady nilaza hanome hanina azy koa.
19 Hadad found great favor in the sight of Pharaoh, so that Pharaoh gave him a wife, his own wife's sister, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
Ary Hadada nahita fitia fatratra teo imason’ i Farao, ka dia ny rahavavin’ i Tapanesa, vadin’ ny mpanjaka, no nomeny ho vadiny.
20 The sister of Tahpenes gave birth to Hadad's son. They named him Genubath. Tahpenes raised him in Pharaoh's palace. So Genubath lived in Pharaoh's palace among the children of Pharaoh.
Ary ny rahavavin’ i Tapanesa niteraka zazalahy tamin’ i Hadada, dia Genobata, izay notazan’ i Tapanesa tao an-tranon’ i Farao; ary Genobata niara-nitoetra tamin’ ny zanakalahin’ i Farao tao an-dapa.
21 While he was in Egypt, Hadad heard that David had lain down with his ancestors and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, “Let me depart, so I may go to my own country.”
Ary rehefa ren’ i Hadada tany Egypta fa Davida lasa nody mandry any amin’ ny razany, sady maty koa Joaba, komandin’ ny miaramila, dia hoy izy tamin’ i Farao: Alefaso aho hody any amin’ ny tanin-drazako.
22 Then Pharaoh said to him, “But what have you lacked with me, that you now seek to go to your own country?” Hadad answered, “Nothing. Please let me go.”
Fa hoy Farao taminy: Fa inona moa no zavatra mahory anao atỳ amiko, no dia mitady hody any amin’ ny tanin-drazanao indray ianao? Ary hoy ny navaliny: Tsy misy mahory ahy tsy akory; nefa alefaso ihany aho.
23 God also raised up another adversary to Solomon, Rezon son of Eliada, who had fled from his master Hadadezer king of Zobah.
Ary Andriamanitra nanangana fahavalo koa hanohitra an’ i Solomona, dia Rezona, zanak’ i Eliada, izay efa nandositra an’ i Hadadezera tompony, mpanjakan’ i Zoba.
24 Rezon gathered men to himself and became captain over a small force, when David defeated the men of Zobah. Rezon's men went to Damascus and lived there, and Rezon controlled Damascus.
Dia namory olona maro ho ao aminy izy ka tonga kapiteniny tamin’ ny namonoan’ i Davida ny olona tany Zoba; ary nankany Damaskosy izy sy ny namany ka nitoetra sy nanjaka tao.
25 He was an enemy of Israel all the days of Solomon, along with the trouble that Hadad caused. Rezon abhorred Israel and reigned over Aram.
Ary izy koa dia fahavalon’ ny Isiraely tamin’ ny andron’ i Solomona rehetra ka nanampy ny ratsy izay nataon’ i Hadada; eny, nankahala ny Isiraely izy ary nanjaka tany Syria.
26 Then Jeroboam son of Nebat, an Ephraimite of Zeredah, an official of Solomon, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow, also lifted up his hand against the king.
Ary Jerobeama, zanak’ i Nebata, Efraimita avy any Zareda, mpanompon’ i Solomona (Zeroa no anaran-dreniny, vehivavy mpitondratena), dia nanainga tanàna hikomy tamin’ ny mpanjaka.
27 He lifted up his hand against the king because Solomon had built up the place located at Millo and repaired the opening in the city wall of David his father.
Ary izao no fototry ny nanaingany tanàna hikomy tamin’ ny mpanjaka: Solomona nanorina an’ i Milo ary nanampina ny lohasaha tao an-Tanànan’ i Davida rainy;
28 Jeroboam was a mighty man of valor. Solomon saw that the young man was industrious, so he gave him command over all the labor of the house of Joseph.
ary Jeroboama dia lehilahy mahay; koa nony hitan’ i Solomona fa zatovo mahavita raharaha izy, dia nataony mpifehy ny taranak’ i Josefa tamin’ ny fanompoany rehetra.
29 At that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him on the road. Now Ahijah had dressed in a new garment and the two men were alone in the field.
Ary tamin’ izany andro izany, raha nivoa: ka avy tany Jerosalema Jeroboama, dia nahita azy teny an-dalana Ahia Silonita mpaminany; ary Ahia nitafy lamba vaovao, ary izy roa lahy ihany no tany an-tsaha.
30 Then Ahijah grabbed hold of the new garment that was on him and tore it into twelve pieces.
Dia noraisin’ i Ahia ny lamba vaovao-izay notafiny, ka notriatriariny ho roa ambin’ ny folo.
31 He said to Jeroboam, “Take ten pieces, for Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, 'Look, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and I will give ten tribes to you
Ary hoy izy tamin’ i Jeroboama: Raiso ho anao ny tapatapany folo; fa izao no lazain’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely: Indro, Izaho efa hanendaka ny fanjakana ho afaka amin’ ny tànan’ i Solomona, ary homeko anao ny firenena folo
32 (but Solomon will have one tribe, for my servant David's sake and for Jerusalem's sake—the city that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel),
(nefa ny firenena iray dia i mbola havela ho azy ihany noho ny amin’ i Davida mpamompoko sy Jerosalema, tanàna izay nofidiko tamin’ ny firenen’ Isiraely),
33 because they have forsaken me and have worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh the god of Moab, and Molech the god of the people of Ammon. They have not walked in my ways, to do what is right in my eyes, and to keep my statutes and my decrees, as did David his father.
satria efa nahafoy Ahy izy ka niankohoka teo anatrehan’ i Astarta, andriamani-bavin’ ny Sidoniana, sy Kemosy andriamanitr’ i Moaba, ary Milkoma, andriamanitry ny taranak’ i Amona, fa tsy nandeha tamin’ ny lalako hanao izay mahitsy eo imasoko sy hitandrina ny didiko sy ny fitsipiko tahaka an’ i Davida rainy.
34 However, I will not take the whole kingdom out of Solomon's hand. Instead, I have made him ruler all the days of his life, for David my servant's sake whom I chose, the one who kept my commandments and my statutes.
Nefa tsy hesoriko eo an-tanany avokoa ny fanjakana rehetra; fa hampitoeriko ho mpanjaka ihany izy amin’ ny andro rehetra hiainany noho ny amin’ i Davida mpanompoko izay nofidiko, satria izy nitandrina ny lalàko sy ny didiko;
35 But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand and I will give it to you, ten tribes.
fa hesoriko eo an-tànan’ ny zanany kosa ny fanjakana ka homeko anao, nefa ny firenena folo ihany.
36 I will give one tribe to Solomon's son, so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city in which I have chosen to put my name.
Fa firenena iray no homeko ny zanany, mba hisy fanilo ho an’ i Davida mpanompoko eo anatrehako mandrakariva any Jerosalema, tanàna izay nofidiko ho Ahy hametrahana ny anarako.
37 I will take you, and you will rule to fulfill all that you desire, and you will be king over Israel.
Ary ianao no halaiko, ka hanjaka amin’ izay rehetra irin’ ny fanahinao ary ho mpanjaka amin’ ny Isiraely.
38 If you listen to all that I command you, and if you walk in my ways and do what is right in my eyes, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did, then I will be with you and will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.
Ary raha mihaino izay rehetra andidiako anao ianao ka mandeha amin’ ny lalako ary manao izay mahitsy eo imasoko ka mitandrina ny didiko sy ny lalàko tahaka izay nataon’ i Davida mpanompoko, dia ho aminao Aho ka hampaharitra ny taranakao, tahaka izay nataoko ho an’ i Davida, ary homeko anao ny Isiraely.
39 I will punish the descendants of David, but not forever.'”
Ary hampietry ny taranak’ i Davida kosa Aho noho izany, nefa tsy ho mandrakizay.
40 So Solomon tried to kill Jeroboam. But Jeroboam got up and fled into Egypt, to Shishak king of Egypt, and he remained in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
Ary Solomona nitady hamono an’ i Jeroboama. Fa Jeroboama niainga, dia nandositra nankany Egypta ho any amin’ i Sisaka, mpanjakan’ i Egypta, ka nitoetra tany mandra-pahafatin’ i Solomona.
41 As for the other matters concerning Solomon, all that he did and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the events of Solomon?
Ary ny tantaran’ i Solomona sisa mbamin’ izay rehetra nataony ary ny fahendreny, tsy voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ ny tantaran’ i Solomona va izany?
42 Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel for forty years.
Ary ny andro nanjakan’ i Solomona tamin’ ny Isiraely rehetra tany Jerosalema dia efa-polo taona.
43 He slept with his ancestors and he was buried in the city of David his father. Rehoboam his son became king in his place.
Ary Solomona lasa nodi-mandry any amin’ ny razany, dia nalevina tao an-Tanànan’ i Davida rainy izy; ary Rehoboama zanany no nanjaka nandimby azy.
