< 1 Corinthians 1 >

1 Paul, called by Christ Jesus to be an apostle by the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
Pathian deina tungtawn in Jesus Christ i sawltak a hi tu in a kisam keima Paul le ka suapui pa Sosthenes in,
2 to the church of God at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, who are called to be holy people. We are also writing to all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their Lord and ours.
Christ Jesus in thiangthosak a, mithiangtho te ci a ki sam, Corinth a om Pathian pawlpi le mun tatuam a i Topa Jesus Christ min a sam theampo tung ah:
3 May grace and peace be to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I Pa Pathian le Topa Jesus Christ kung pan in hesuakna le thinnopna sia note tung ah hong om tahen.
4 I always give thanks to my God for you because of the grace of God that Christ Jesus gave to you.
Jesus Christ tungtawn in note tung ah hongpiak Pathian i thuthiamna atu in, note tang in ka Pathian ka pok hi;
5 He has made you rich in every way, in all speech and with all knowledge,
Tabang in na kampauna theampo uh le na heakna uh theampo, na theampo ah Ama in hong hausak zo hi;
6 just as the testimony about Christ has been confirmed as true among you.
Christ i tettipan na zong note sung ah hong kipsak zo hi:
7 Therefore you lack no spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tabang in i Topa Jesus Christ hongpai tu na ngak uh kawm in letsong khat zong na kisam bua uh hi:
8 He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tabang in i Topa Jesus Christ ni ciang paubang ngawl na hi thei natu uh in, Ama in a tawp dong hong kipsak tu hi.
9 God is faithful, who called you into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
A Tapa i Topa Jesus Christ taw ki pawlkhopna nei tu in note hongsam Pathian sia a thuman Pathian a hihi.
10 Now I urge you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree, and that there be no divisions among you. I urge that you be joined together with the same mind and by the same purpose.
Tu in suapui te awng, na vekpi in na kampau na uh kibang tek in, ki khenna om ngawl, a picing thu kisikna taw ki pawlkhawm tu le thukhenna kibang tek hi tu in, i Topa Jesus Christ min taw kong thum hi.
11 For it has been made clear to me, my brothers, by Chloe's people that there are factions among you.
Banghangziam cile ka suapui te awng, note sung ah kihauna om hi, ci in Chloe te innkuan tung pan in kei tung ah note i thu hong ki pualak zo hi.
12 I mean this: Each one of you says, “I am with Paul,” or “I am with Apollos,” or “I am with Cephas,” or “I am with Christ.”
Tu in hi thu kong son hi, noma sung ah khatsim in, keima sia Paul i pawl khi hi; taciang kei sia Apollos i pawl ka hihi; taciang kei sia Peter i pawl ka hihi; taciang kei sia Christ i pawl ka hihi, na ci uh hi.
13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?
Christ sia ki khen ziam? Paul sia note atu in thinglamte tung ah a ki khai ziam? a hibale, Paul min taw tui na ki phum uh ziam?
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius.
Note sung ah Crispus le Gaius simngawl kuama tuiphum ngawl ka hikom in Pathian tung ka lungdam hi;
15 This was so that no one would say that you were baptized into my name.
Tua ahikom, Paul in ama min taw tuiphumna pia hi, kuama in ci thei ngawl tu hi.
16 (I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Beyond that, I do not know if I baptized any others.)
Taciang Stephen te innkuan zong keima in tui ka phum hi: tua te simngawl a dang tui ka phum ka he bua hi.
17 For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel. He did not send me to preach with words of human wisdom, so that the cross of Christ should not be emptied of its power.
Banghangziam cile Christ in tuiphumna pia tu in hong sawl ngawl a, lungdamna thupha hil tu in hong sawl hi: tua thu sia ciimna kammal te taw hil tu hi ngawl hi, tabang hile Christ thinglamte sia vang nei ngawl suak tu hi.
18 For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are dying. But among those whom God is saving, it is the power of God.
Banghangziam cile thinglamte thuhil na sia a mangthang te atu in mawmawt na a hihi; ahihang ngupna a sang te a tu in Pathian i vangletna a hihi.
19 For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will frustrate the understanding of the intelligent.”
Banghangziam cile, a ciim te i ciimna ka susia tu a, mipil te i telthiam na zong a mannung ngawl ka suaksak tu hi, ci in ki at hi.
20 Where is the wise person? Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this world? Has not God turned the wisdom of the world into foolishness? (aiōn g165)
Mihing ciim koisung ah om ziam? Thukhamhil te koisung ah om ziam? hi leitung ah thu nial te e koisung ah om zia? Pathian in hi leitung pilna sia mawmawtna suaksak zo hi ngawl ziam? (aiōn g165)
21 Since the world in its wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.
Banghangziam cile leitung mite in pilna taw Pathian a heak ngawl zawk ciang, Pathian i pilna sung ah mawmawtna thu pualakna a um te ngum tu in Pathian a lungkim hi.
22 For Jews ask for miraculous signs and Greeks seek wisdom.
Banghangziam cile Judah mite in musakna ngen uh hi, taciang Greek mite in pilna zong uh hi:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks.
Ahihang kote in thinglamte tung ah a ki khai Christ thu ka hil uh hi, tua thu sia Judah mite atu in lutu na a hihi, taciang Greek mite atu in mawmawtna a hihi;
24 But to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, we preach Christ as the power and the wisdom of God.
Ahihanng a kisam Judah mite le Greek mite atu in Christ sia Pathian vangletna le pilna a hihi.
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than people, and the weakness of God is stronger than people.
Banghangziam cile Pathian i mawmawtna sia mihing te sang in ciim zaw hi; taciang Pathian i thaneamna sia mihing te sang in hat zaw hi.
26 Look at your calling, brothers. Not many of you were wise by human standards. Not many of you were powerful. Not many of you were of noble birth.
Banghangziam cile suapui te awng, nang hong kisapna thu en vun, cilesa lam pan in mipil tampi, a vanglian le ulian thupi tampi na om bua uh hi:
27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. God chose what is weak in the world to shame what is strong.
Ahihang Pathian in mipil te maizumsak tu in leitung taw kisai in a mawmaw te teal hi; taciang Pathian in a thahat te maizumsak tu leitung taw kisai in a thaneam te teal hi;
28 God chose what is low and despised in the world. He even chose things that are regarded as nothing, to bring to nothing things that are held as valuable.
A omsa nate a mannung ngawl a suaksak tu in, leitung na mannung ngawl, bangma a ki simngawl nate le a om ngawl lai nate dong in Pathian in teal hi:
29 He did this so that no one would have a reason to boast before him.
Tabang in Pathian mai ah kuama ki suangtak ngawl tu hi.
30 Because of what God did, now you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God. He became our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.
Ahihang note Ama tungtawn in Christ Jesus sung ah na om uh hi, Ama sia Pathian in eite atu in pilna, thutang suana, thianthosakna le tatna in hong vawtsak hi:
31 As a result, as scripture says, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
Tabang in, a ki at sa bangma in, a ki suangtak te sia Topa sung ah ki suangtak tahen.
