1 Corinthians 14
1 Pursue love and be zealous for spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.
們要追求愛，但也要渴慕神恩，尤其要渴慕，尤其要渴慕做先知之恩。
2 For the one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. For no one understands him because he speaks hidden things in the Spirit.
原來那說語言的，不是對人，而是對天主說話，因為沒有人聽得慬，他是由於神講論奧秘的事；
3 But the one who prophesies speaks to people to build them up, to encourage them, and to comfort them.
但那做的，卻是向人說建樹、勸慰和鼓勵的話。
4 The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.
那說語言的，是建立自己；那講先知話的，卻是樹立教會。
5 Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues. But even more than that, I wish that you would prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues (unless someone interprets so that the church may be built up).
我願意你們都有說語言之恩，但我更願意你們都做先知，因為講先知話的比說語言的更大，除非他也解釋，使教會獲得建立。
6 But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you? I cannot, unless I speak to you with revelation, or knowledge, or prophecy, or teaching.
弟兄們，假使我來到你們那裏，只說語言，而不以啟示，或以知識，或以先知話，或以訓誨向你們講論，我為你們有什麼益處？
7 If lifeless instruments are producing sounds—like the flute or the harp—and they do not produce different tones, how will anyone know what tune the flute or harp is playing?
就連那些無靈而發聲之物，簫也罷，琴也罷，若不分清聲調，怎能知道吹彈的是什麼呢？
8 For if the trumpet is played with an uncertain sound, how will anyone know when it is time to prepare for battle?
若號筒吹的音調不準確，誰還準備作戰呢？
9 So it is with you. If you utter speech that is unintelligible, how will anyone understand what you have said? You will be speaking, and no one will understand you.
同樣，你們若不用舌頭說出明晰的話，人怎能明白你說的是什麼？那麼，你們就是向空氣說話。
10 There are doubtless many different languages in the world, and none is without meaning.
誰也知道世界上有許多語言，但沒有一種是沒有意義的。
11 But if I do not know the meaning of a language, I will be a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker will be a foreigner to me.
假使我不明白鄱語言的意義，那說話的人必以我為蠻夷，我也以那說話的人為蠻夷。
12 So it is with you. Since you are eager for the manifestations of the Spirit, try to excel in the gifts that build up the church.
你們也當這樣：你們既然渴慕神恩，就當祈求多得建立教會的恩賜。
13 So the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret.
為此，那說語言的應當祈求解釋之恩，
14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
因為我若以語言之恩祈禱，是我的神魂祈禱，我的理智卻得不到效果。
15 What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing with my spirit, and I will also sing with my mind.
那麼，怎樣才行呢？我要以神魂祈禱，也要以理智祈禱，我要以神魂歌詠，也要以理智歌詠；
16 Otherwise, if you praise God with the spirit, how will the outsider say “Amen” when you are giving thanks if he does not know what you are saying?
不然，假使你我以神魂讚頌，那在埸不通語言的人，既不明白你說什麼，對你的祝謝詞，怎能答應「阿們」呢？
17 For you certainly give thanks well enough, but the other person is not built up.
你固然祝謝的很好，可是不能建立別人。
18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.
我感謝天主，我說語言勝過你們眾人；
19 But in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding so that I might instruct others, than ten thousand words in a tongue.
可是集會中我寧願以我的理智說五句訓誨人的話，而不願以語言之恩說一萬句話。
20 Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Rather, in regard to evil, be like infants. But in your thinking be mature.
弟兄們，在見識上不應做孩子，但應在邪惡上做嬰孩，在見上應做成年人。
21 In the law it is written, “By men of strange tongues and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people. Even then they will not hear me,” says the Lord.
法律上記載：『上主說：我要藉說外方話的人和外方人的嘴脣向這百姓說話，雖然這樣，他們還是不聽從我。』
22 So then, tongues are a sign, not to believers, but to unbelievers. But prophesying is for a sign, not for unbelievers, but for believers.
這樣看來，語言之恩不是為信的人作證據，而是為不信的人；但先知之恩不是為不信的人，而是為信的人。
23 If, therefore, the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and outsiders and unbelievers come in, would they not say that you are insane?
所以全教會共同聚在一起時，假使眾人都說起語言來，如有不通的人，或有不信的人進來，豈不要說：你們瘋了嗎？
24 But if you all were prophesying and an unbeliever or an outsider came in, he would be convicted by all he hears. He would be judged by all that is said.
但是如果眾人都說先知話，既便有不信的人或不通的人進來，他必被眾人說服，也必被眾人所審察，
25 The secrets of his heart would be revealed. As a result, he would fall on his face and worship God. He would declare that God is really among you.
他心內的隱秘也必會顯示出來：這樣他就必俯首至地朝拜天主，聲稱天主實在是在你們心中間。
26 What is next then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a psalm, a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Do everything so that you build up the church.
弟兄們，那麼怎樣做呢？當你們聚會的時候，每人不論有什麼神恩，或有歌詠，或有訓誨，或有啟示，或有語言，或有解釋之恩：一切都應為建立而行。
27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at most three, and each one in turn, then someone should interpret what is said.
倘若有說語言的，只可兩個人，或至多三個人，且要輪流講話，也要有一個人解釋；
28 But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in the church. Let each one speak to himself alone and to God.
如沒有解釋的人，在聚會中就該緘默，只可對自己或對天主說話。
29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others listen with discernment to what is said.
至於先知，可以兩個人或三個人說話，其餘的人要審辨。
30 But if an insight is given to one who is sitting in the service, let the one who had been speaking be silent.
若在座的有一位得了啟示，那先說話的，就不應該再發言，
31 For each of you can prophesy one by one so that each one may learn and all may be encouraged.
因為你們都可以一個一個的說先知話，為使眾人學習，為使眾人受到鼓勵。
32 For the spirits of the prophets are under the control of the prophets.
並且先知的神魂是由先知自己作主，
33 For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. This is the rule in all the churches of the saints.
因為天主不是混亂的天主，而是平安的天主。猶如在聖徒的眾教會內，
34 The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak. Instead, they should be in submission, as also the law says.
婦女應當緘默；她們不准發言，只該服從，正如法律所說的。
35 If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
她們若願意學什麼，可以在家裏問自己的丈夫；因為在集會中發言，為女人不是體面事。
36 Did the word of God come from you? Are you the only ones it has reached?
莫非天主的道理是從你們來的嗎？或是惟獨臨到了你們身上了嗎？
37 If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I write to you are a command of the Lord.
若有人自以為是先知，或受神感的人，就該承認我給你們所寫的，是主的誡命。
38 But if anyone does not recognize this, let him not be recognized.
誰若不承認，也不要承認他。
39 So then, brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid anyone from speaking in tongues.
所以我的弟兄們，你們應當渴望說先知話，可是也不要禁止人說語言。
40 But let all things be done properly and in order.
一切都該照規矩按次序而行。
