< 1 Corinthians 12 >

1 About spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.
Manuca rhoek, mueihla ah na mangvawt uh ham ka ngaih moenih.
2 You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to idols who could not speak, in whatever ways you were led by them.
Namtom rhoek bangla na om uh vaengah mueirhol olmueh taengla ngahngah m'mawt uh tih n'khuen uh te na ming uh.
3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who speaks by the Spirit of God can say, “Jesus is accursed.” No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
Pathen kah Mueihla neh aka cal loh, “Jesuh tah kosi ni,” a ti pawt te nangmih taengah kam phoe. Te dongah Mueihla Cim nen pawt atah, “Boeipa Jesuh,” a ti thai moenih.
4 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.
Te dongah kutdoe cungkuem om dae Mueihla tah amah boeiloeih ni.
5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord;
Bibinah khaw a cungluem la om dae Boeipa tah amah boeiloeih ni.
6 and there are different kinds of work, but it is the same God who makes them possible in everyone.
Pongthohnah khaw a cungkuem la om dae Pathen amah te cungkuem dongah cungkuem la tueng.
7 Now to each one is given the outward display of the Spirit for the benefit of all.
Tedae Mueihla kah a phoenah loh amih a rhoei nah ham rhip a paek coeng.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.
Pakhat te Mueihla loh cueihnah olka a paek tih, a tloe taengah Mueihla amah loh mingnah olka khaw,
9 To another is given faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit.
Mueihla amah loh a tloe tangnah, Mueihla pakhat loh a tloe taengah hoeihnah kutdoe,
10 To another is given deeds of power, and to another prophecy. To another is given the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
a tloe taengah thaomnah kah pongthohnah, a tloe taengah tonghma ol, a tloe taengah mueihla kah boelhkhoehnah, a tloe te namtom ol, pakhat te ol a kongnah a paek.
11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, giving the gifts to each one individually, as he chooses.
Te dongah he boeih he Mueihla amah pakhat loh pakhat rhip taengah a tueng sak tih a ngaih bangla a tael pah.
12 For as the body is one and has many members and all are members of the same body, so it is with Christ.
Pum tah pakhat la om tih pumrho muep om. Pum kah pumrho boeih loh muep om cakhaw a pum pakhat a om bangla Khrih khaw om van.
13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bound or free, and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
Mamih khaw, Judah rhoek khaw, Greek rhoek khaw, Sal khaw, aka loeih khaw mueihla pakhat dongah pum pakhat la boeih n'nuem uh. Te dongah mueihla pakhat la boeih n'tul coeng.
14 For the body is not a single member, but many.
Pum tah pakhat bueng van pawt tih pumrho muep om.
15 If the foot says, “Since I am not the hand, I am not part of the body,” it is not any less a part of the body.
Kho loh, “Kut te kai moenih, pum kah a hut la ka om moenih,” ti koinih he kongah pum kah koe la a om pawt moenih.
16 And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not part of the body,” it is not any less a part of the body.
Hna long khaw, “Mik te kai moenih, pum kah koe la ka om moenih,” ti koinih he kongah pum kah koe la a om pawt moenih.
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
Pum tah mik la boeih om koinih hnavue tah melam a om eh? Hnavue la boeih om koinih a bova tah metlam a him eh?
18 But God arranged each part of the body as he designed it.
Tedae pumrho te Pathen loh rhip a khueh coeng. Amih pakhat rhip pum dongkah ham a ngaih ta.
19 If they were all the same member, where would the body be?
Te dongah pumrho loh pakhat la boeih om koinih pum te melam a om eh?
20 So now they are many members, but only one body.
Tedae tahae ah pumrho loh yet ngawn cakhaw pum pakhat ni a om.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you.” Nor does the head say to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
Te dongah mik loh kut te, “Nang kan ngoe moenih,” te phoeiah lu loh kho te, “Nangmih kang ngoe moenih,” a ti thai moenih.
22 But the members of the body that appear to be weaker are essential,
Tedae pum dongkah pumrho muep la aka poek loh tattloel la lat om om tangkik.
23 and the parts of the body that we think are less honorable, we give them greater honor, and our unpresentable members have more dignity.
Pum kah sawtsit aka om la m'poek uh pumrho te khaw hinyahnah neh anah la n'thingcam uh. Mamih kah rhaidaeng long khaw thenrhuep a khueh khungdaeng.
24 Now our presentable members have no need to be treated with dignity, for they already have dignity. But God has joined all the members together, and he gave more honor to those that lacked it.
Tedae mamih kah hlangcong pumrho loh ngoe pawt cakhaw Pathen loh pum te a sombong tih aka vawt rhoek taengah hinyahnah muep a paek.
25 He did this so there may be no division within the body, but that the members should care for one another with the same affection.
Te daengah ni pum dongah paekboenah a om pawt eh. Tedae pumrho amah te pakhat ham khaw mawn puei saeh.
26 So when one member suffers, all the members suffer together; or when one member is honored, all the members rejoice together.
Te dongah pumrho pakhat loh a tloh atah pumrho loh boeih patang. Pumrho pakhat a thangpom atah pumrho boeih loh a omngaih puei.
27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
Nangmih tah Khrih kah pum neh cungvang ah a pumrho la na om uh.
28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then those who do powerful deeds, then gifts of healing, those who provide helps, those who do the work of administration, and those who have various kinds of tongues.
Te dongah amih te Pathen loh hlangboel khuiah, lamhma la caeltueih rhoek, pabae ah tonghma rhoek, pathum ah saya rhoek neh thaomnah, hoeihnah kutdoe, talongkung rhoek, boelrhaikung rhoek, namtom ol neh rhep a khueh.
29 Are all of them apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all do powerful deeds?
Hlang boeih he caeltueih moenih. Hlang boeih he tonghma moenih. Hlang boeih he saya moenih. Hlang boeih he thaomnah moenih.
30 Do all of them have gifts of healing? Do all of them speak with tongues? Do all of them interpret tongues?
Hlang boeih loh hoeihnah kutdoe a khueh uh moenih. Hlang boeih loh olka a thui moenih. Hlang boeih loh a thuicaih moenih.
31 Zealously seek the greater gifts. But I will show you a more excellent way.
Tedae kutdoe tanglue te yakvawt uh lah. Te dongah longpuei he a puehkan la nangmih kan tueng pueng.
