1 Chronicles 29

1 King David said to the whole assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is still young and inexperienced, and the task is great. For the temple is not for people but for Yahweh God.

൧പിന്നെ ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവ് സർവ്വസഭയോടും പറഞ്ഞത്: “ദൈവം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ മകൻ ശലോമോൻ ചെറുപ്പവും ഇളംപ്രായവും ഉള്ളവൻ; പ്രവൃത്തി വലിയതും ആകുന്നു; മന്ദിരം മനുഷ്യനല്ല, യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തിനത്രെ.

2 So I have done my best to provide for the temple of my God. I am giving gold for the things to be made of gold, silver for the things to be made of silver, bronze for the things to be made of bronze, iron for the things to be made of iron, and wood for the things to be made of wood. I am also giving onyx stones, stones to be set, stones for inlaid work of various colors—all kinds of precious stones—and marble stone in abundance.

൨എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ സർവ്വബലത്തോടും കൂടെ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിന് വേണ്ടി പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവയ്ക്ക് പൊന്നും, വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ളവയ്ക്ക് വെള്ളിയും, താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ളവയ്ക്ക് താമ്രവും, ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവയ്ക്ക് ഇരിമ്പും, മരംകൊണ്ടുള്ളവയ്ക്ക് മരവും, ഗോമേദകക്കല്ലും, പതിക്കുവാനുള്ള കല്ലും അലങ്കരിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള കല്ലും, നാനാവർണ്ണമുള്ള കല്ലും, വിലയേറിയ സകലവിധ രത്നവും അനവധി വെള്ളക്കല്ലും ശേഖരിച്ചു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

3 Now, because of my delight in the house of my God, I am giving my personal treasure of gold and silver for it. I am doing this in addition to all that I have prepared for this holy temple:

൩എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തോട് എനിക്കുള്ള താത്പര്യം നിമിത്തം വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിനു വേണ്ടി ഞാൻ ശേഖരിച്ചതൊക്കെയും കൂടാതെ, എന്റെ കൈവശമുള്ള പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയും ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിനായി കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

4 three thousand talents of gold from Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, in order to overlay the walls of the buildings.

൪ആലയഭിത്തികളെ, പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു വേണ്ടത് പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടും, വെള്ളികൊണ്ടു വേണ്ടത് വെള്ളികൊണ്ടും പൊതിയുവാനും, അങ്ങനെ കരകൗശലപ്പണിക്കാരുടെ എല്ലാ പണിയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടിയും ഓഫീർപൊന്നായി മൂവായിരം (3,000) താലന്ത് പൊന്നും ഏഴായിരം (7,000) താലന്ത് ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച വെള്ളിയും കൊടുത്തു.

5 I am donating gold for the things to be made of gold, and silver for the things to be made of silver, and things for all kinds of work to be done by craftsmen. Who else wants to make a contribution to Yahweh today and give himself to him?”

൫എന്നാൽ ഇന്ന് യഹോവയ്ക്ക് കരപൂരണം ചെയ്യുവാൻ മനഃപൂർവ്വം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ?

6 Then freewill offerings were made by the leaders of their ancestors' families, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and hundreds, and by the officials over the king's work.

൬അപ്പോൾ പിതൃഭവനപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഗോത്രപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരും ശതാധിപന്മാരും രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്ക് മേൽവിചാരകന്മാരും മനഃപൂർവ്വദാനങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

7 They gave for the service of God's house five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron.

൭ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ വേലയ്ക്കായിട്ട് അവർ 5,000 താലന്ത് പൊന്നും, 10,000 തങ്കക്കാശും 10,000 താലന്ത് വെള്ളിയും 18,000 താലന്ത് താമ്രവും 10,0000 താലന്ത് ഇരുമ്പും കൊടുത്തു.

8 Those who had precious stones gave them to the treasury of Yahweh's house, under the supervision of Jehiel, a descendant of Gershon.

൮രത്നങ്ങൾ കൈവശമുള്ളവർ അവയെ ഗേർശോന്യനായ യെഹീയേൽമുഖാന്തരം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലേക്കു കൊടുത്തു.

9 The people rejoiced because of these freewill offerings, because they had contributed wholeheartedly to Yahweh. King David also rejoiced greatly.

൯അങ്ങനെ ജനം മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി കൊടുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ സന്തോഷിച്ചു; ഏകാഗ്രഹൃദയത്തോടെ മനഃപൂർവ്വമായിട്ടായിരുന്നു അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് കൊടുത്തത്. ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവും അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

10 David blessed Yahweh in front of all the assembly. He said, “May you be praised, Yahweh, God of Israel our ancestor, forever and ever.

൧൦പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് സർവ്വസഭയുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു ചൊല്ലിയത്: “ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യിസ്രായേലിൻ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ.

11 Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. For all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as ruler over all.

൧൧യഹോവേ, മഹത്വവും ശക്തിയും തേജസ്സും യശസ്സും മഹിമയും അങ്ങയ്ക്കുള്ളത്; സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലുമുള്ളതൊക്കെയും അങ്ങയ്ക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ. യഹോവേ, രാജത്വം അങ്ങയ്ക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു; അങ്ങ് സകലത്തിനും മീതെ തലവനായിരിക്കുന്നു.

12 Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all people. In your hand is power and might. You possess the strength and might to make people great and to give strength to anyone.

൧൨ധനവും ബഹുമാനവും അങ്ങയിൽനിന്ന് വരുന്നു; അങ്ങ് സർവ്വവും ഭരിക്കുന്നു; ശക്തിയും ബലവും അങ്ങയുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; സകലത്തെയും വിപുലീകരിക്കുന്നതും ശക്തീകരിക്കുന്നതും അങ്ങയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാകുന്നു.

13 Now then, our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name.

൧൩ആകയാൽ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്ത് അങ്ങയുടെ മഹത്വമുള്ള നാമത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു.

14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly these things? Indeed, all things come from you, and we have simply given back to you what is yours.

൧൪എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഇങ്ങനെ ഇത്ര മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി ദാനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന് പ്രാപ്തരാകുവാൻ ഞാൻ ആർ? എന്റെ ജനവും എന്തുള്ളു? സകലവും അങ്ങിൽനിന്നല്ലോ വരുന്നത്; അങ്ങയുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് വാങ്ങി ഞങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് തന്നതേയുള്ളു.

15 For we are strangers and travelers before you, as all our ancestors were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope of remaining on earth.

൧൫ഞങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് മുമ്പാകെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ സകലപിതാക്കന്മാരെയുംപോലെ അതിഥികളും പരദേശികളും ആകുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ഒരു നിഴൽ പോലെയത്രേ; യാതൊരു സ്ഥിരതയുമില്ല.

16 Yahweh our God, all this wealth that we have collected in order to build a temple to honor your holy name—it comes from you and belongs to you.

൧൬ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിനായി അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് ഒരു ആലയം പണിയുവാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ശേഖരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഈ സംഗ്രഹമെല്ലാം അവിടുത്തെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നുള്ളത്; സകലവും അങ്ങയ്ക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു.

17 I know also, my God, that you examine the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things, and now I look with joy as your people who are present here willingly offer gifts to you.

൧൭എന്റെ ദൈവമേ; അങ്ങ് ഹൃദയത്തെ ശോധനചെയ്ത് പരമാർത്ഥതയിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; ഞാനോ എന്റെ ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥതയോടെ ഇവയെല്ലാം മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ ഇവിടെ കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്ന അങ്ങയുടെ ജനം അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി തന്നിരിക്കുന്നത് ഞാൻ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കണ്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

18 Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel—our ancestors—keep this forever in the thoughts of the minds of your people. Direct their hearts toward you.

൧൮ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്‍റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഈ വിചാരങ്ങളും ഭാവവും എന്നേക്കും കാത്ത് അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അങ്ങയിലേക്ക് തിരിക്കേണമേ.

19 Give to Solomon my son a wholehearted desire to keep your commandments, your covenant decrees, and your statutes, and to carry out all these plans to build the palace for which I have made provision.”

൧൯എന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോൻ, അങ്ങയുടെ കല്പനകളും സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിക്കേണ്ടതിനും ഞാൻ കരുതിയിട്ടുള്ള മന്ദിരം തീർക്കുവാനും, അങ്ങനെ ഇവയെല്ലാം നിവർത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവന് ഒരു ഏകാഗ്രഹൃദയം നല്കേണമേ”.

20 David said to all the assembly, “Now bless Yahweh your God.” All the assembly blessed Yahweh, the God of their ancestors, bowed their heads and worshiped Yahweh and prostrated themselves before the king.

൨൦പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് സർവ്വസഭയോടും: “ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിൻ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ സഭമുഴുവനും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തി യഹോവയെയും രാജാവിനെയും വണങ്ങി നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

21 On the next day, they made sacrifices to Yahweh and offered burnt offerings to him. They offered a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.

൨൧പിന്നെ അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു് ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളെ അർപ്പിച്ചു; പിറ്റെന്നാൾ യഹോവയ്ക്കു് ഹോമയാഗമായി ആയിരം (1,000) കാളയെയും ആയിരം ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും ആയിരം കുഞ്ഞാടിനെയും അവയുടെ പാനീയയാഗങ്ങളെയും എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലിനുംവേണ്ടി അനവധി ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളെയും കഴിച്ചു.

22 On that day, they ate and drank before Yahweh with great celebration. They made Solomon, David's son, king a second time, and anointed him with Yahweh's authority to be ruler. They also anointed Zadok to be priest.

൨൨അവർ അന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനംചെയ്തു; ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യം രാജാവാക്കി; അവനെ യഹോവയ്ക്കു് പ്രഭുവായിട്ടും സാദോക്കിനെ പുരോഹിതനായിട്ടും അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തു.

23 Then Solomon sat on Yahweh's throne as king instead of David his father. He prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.

൨൩അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന് പകരം യഹോവയുടെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ രാജാവായിരുന്നു കൃതാർത്ഥനായി. യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ വാക്ക് കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചു.

24 All the leaders, soldiers, and King David's sons gave allegiance to King Solomon.

൨൪സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും വീരന്മാരും ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവിന്റെ സകലപുത്രന്മാരും ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന് കീഴ്പെട്ടു.

25 Yahweh greatly honored Solomon before all Israel and bestowed on him greater power than he had ever given to any king before him in Israel.

൨൫യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും കാൺകെ യഹോവ ശലോമോനെ അത്യന്തം മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി, യിസ്രായേലിൽ അവന് മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഒരു രാജാവിനും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത രാജമഹിമയും അവന് നല്കി.

26 David son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

൨൬ഇങ്ങനെ യിശ്ശായിയുടെ മകനായ ദാവീദ് എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലിനും രാജാവായി വാണിരുന്നു.

27 David had been king of Israel for forty years. He ruled for seven years in Hebron and for thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

൨൭അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വാണകാലം നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം ആയിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഏഴു സംവത്സരം ഹെബ്രോനിലും മുപ്പത്തിമൂന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിലും വാണു.

28 He died at a good old age, after enjoying a long life, wealth and honor. Solomon his son succeeded him.

൨൮അവൻ വളരെ വയസ്സുചെന്നവനും ആയുസ്സും ധനവും മാനവും തികഞ്ഞവനുമായി മരിച്ചു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോൻ അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

29 King David's accomplishments are written in the history of Samuel the prophet, in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the history of Gad the prophet.

൨൯എന്നാൽ ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവിന്റെ ആദ്യന്തവൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും, അവന്റെ രാജഭരണം ഒക്കെയും, അവന്റെ പരാക്രമപ്രവൃത്തികളും, അവനും യിസ്രായേലിനും അന്യദേശങ്ങളിലെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളിലുമുണ്ടായ എല്ലാ സംഭവങ്ങളും

30 Recorded there are the deeds of his rule, his accomplishments and the events that affected him, Israel, and all the kingdoms of the other lands.

൩൦ദർശകനായ ശമൂവേലിന്റെ വൃത്താന്തത്തിലും നാഥാൻപ്രവാചകന്റെ പുസ്തകത്തിലും ദർശകനായ ഗാദിന്റെ വൃത്താന്തത്തിലും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
