1 Chronicles 29
1 King David said to the whole assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is still young and inexperienced, and the task is great. For the temple is not for people but for Yahweh God.
૧પછી દાઉદ રાજાએ સમગ્ર સભાને કહ્યું, ઇઝરાયલીઓમાંથી મારા પુત્ર સુલેમાન ને જ ઈશ્વરે પસંદ કર્યો છે, તે હજી જુવાન અને બિનઅનુભવી છે અને કામ મોટું છે, કારણ કે આ ભક્તિસ્થાન માણસને માટે નહિ પણ ઈશ્વર યહોવાહને માટે છે.
2 So I have done my best to provide for the temple of my God. I am giving gold for the things to be made of gold, silver for the things to be made of silver, bronze for the things to be made of bronze, iron for the things to be made of iron, and wood for the things to be made of wood. I am also giving onyx stones, stones to be set, stones for inlaid work of various colors—all kinds of precious stones—and marble stone in abundance.
૨મેં મારી તમામ શક્તિ અનુસાર મારા ઈશ્વરના ભક્તિસ્થાન માટે સોનાની વસ્તુઓ માટે સોનું, રૂપાની વસ્તુઓ માટે ચાંદી, પિતળની વસ્તુઓ માટે પિતળ, લોખંડની વસ્તુઓ માટે લોખંડ એકત્ર કર્યા છે. અને લાકડાની વસ્તુઓ માટે લાકડું, મણિ જડાવકામને સારુ દરેક જાતનાં મૂલ્યવાન જવાહિરો, અકીક તથા સંગેમરમરના પુષ્કળ પાષાણો તૈયાર કરાવ્યાં છે.
3 Now, because of my delight in the house of my God, I am giving my personal treasure of gold and silver for it. I am doing this in addition to all that I have prepared for this holy temple:
૩તદુપરાંત, પવિત્રસ્થાનના બાંધકામ માટે મારા ફાળા રૂપે મારા ભંડારમાં જે કંઈ સોનું અને ચાંદી છે તે બધું હું મારા ઈશ્વરના ભક્તિસ્થાન માટે આપી દઉં છું.
4 three thousand talents of gold from Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, in order to overlay the walls of the buildings.
૪સભાસ્થાનની ઇમારતોની દીવાલોને મઢવા માટે ઓફીરમાંથી ત્રણ હજાર તાલંત સોનું એકસો દસ ટન અને સાત હજાર તાલંત ચોખ્ખી ચાંદી બસો સાઠ ટન;
5 I am donating gold for the things to be made of gold, and silver for the things to be made of silver, and things for all kinds of work to be done by craftsmen. Who else wants to make a contribution to Yahweh today and give himself to him?”
૫કારીગરો જે વસ્તુઓ બનાવવાના છે તેને માટે હું સોનું ચાંદી આપું છું. હવે આજે તમારામાંથી બીજા કોણ યહોવાહને માટે રાજીખુશીથી ઉદારતાપૂર્વક પોતાનો ફાળો આપવા ઇચ્છે છે?”
6 Then freewill offerings were made by the leaders of their ancestors' families, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and hundreds, and by the officials over the king's work.
૬પછી પિતૃઓના કુટુંબોના વડાઓ, ઇઝરાયલના કુળોના આગેવાનો, હજારના અને સેના અધિપતિઓ તથા રાજ્યસેવાના અધિકારીઓએ રાજીખુશીથી અર્પણ આપ્યાં.
7 They gave for the service of God's house five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron.
૭તેઓએ ઈશ્વરના ભક્તિસ્થાનના કાર્ય માટે સ્વેચ્છાથી પાંચ હજાર તાલંત સોનું, દસ હજાર સોનાની દારીક, દસ હજાર તાલંત ચાંદી અને અઢાર હજાર તાલંત પિત્તળ તેમ જ એક લાખ તાલંત લોખંડ આપ્યું.
8 Those who had precious stones gave them to the treasury of Yahweh's house, under the supervision of Jehiel, a descendant of Gershon.
૮વળી, જેમની પાસે રત્નો હતાં તેમણે તે રત્નો યહોવાહના ભક્તિસ્થાનના ભંડારમાં આપી દીધાં. તેનો વહીવટ ગેર્શોનનો વંશજ યહીએલ કરતો હતો.
9 The people rejoiced because of these freewill offerings, because they had contributed wholeheartedly to Yahweh. King David also rejoiced greatly.
૯તેઓએ સર્વ રાજીખુશીથી યહોવાહને માટે ઉદાર મનથી આપ્યું હોવાથી લોકો ઘણાં હરખાયા. રાજા દાઉદ પણ ઘણો ખુશ થયો.
10 David blessed Yahweh in front of all the assembly. He said, “May you be praised, Yahweh, God of Israel our ancestor, forever and ever.
૧૦સમગ્ર સભાની સમક્ષ દાઉદે યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરતાં કહ્યું, “અમારા પિતૃઓના, ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર, યહોવાહ, સદા સર્વદા તમારી સ્તુતિ હો!
11 Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. For all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as ruler over all.
૧૧યહોવાહ તમે જ મહાન, શક્તિશાળી, ગૌરવવંત, ભવ્ય અને પ્રતાપી છો. આ પૃથ્વી પર અને આકાશમાં જે કંઈ છે તે સર્વ તમારું છે. હે યહોવાહ રાજ્ય તમારું છે અને એ બધાં પર તમારો જ અધિકાર છે.
12 Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all people. In your hand is power and might. You possess the strength and might to make people great and to give strength to anyone.
૧૨તમારાથી જ ધન અને પ્રતાપ પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે. તમે જ સર્વ પ્રજા પર શાસન કરો છો. સામર્થ્ય અને સત્તા તમારા જ હાથમાં છે. તમે જ સૌને મહાન તથા બળવાન કરો છો,
13 Now then, our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name.
૧૩હવે અત્યારે, હે અમારા ઈશ્વર, અમે તમારો આભાર માનીએ છીએ અને તમારા મહિમાવંત નામની સ્તુતિ કરીએ છીએ.
14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly these things? Indeed, all things come from you, and we have simply given back to you what is yours.
૧૪પરંતુ હું કે મારી પ્રજા કોણ કે રાજીખુશીથી અર્પણ આપવા માટે અમે સમર્થ હોઈએ? કારણ કે જે સર્વસ્વને અમે પોતાનું માનીએ છીએ તે તમારાથી જ અમને મળેલું છે અને જે અમે તમને આપીએ છીએ તે સર્વ તમારું જ છે.
15 For we are strangers and travelers before you, as all our ancestors were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope of remaining on earth.
૧૫કેમ કે અમે અમારા પૂર્વજોની જેમ તમારી આગળ મુસાફર તથા પરદેશી જેવા છીએ, આ પૃથ્વી પરના અમારા દિવસો પડછાયા જેવા છે. પૃથ્વી પર અમને કંઈ જ આશા નથી.
16 Yahweh our God, all this wealth that we have collected in order to build a temple to honor your holy name—it comes from you and belongs to you.
૧૬યહોવાહ અમારા ઈશ્વર, તમારા પવિત્ર નામને માટે ભક્તિસ્થાન બાંધવા સારુ અમે ભેગી કરેલી બધી સંપત્તિ તમારા તરફથી મળેલી છે, એ બધું તમારું જ છે.
17 I know also, my God, that you examine the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things, and now I look with joy as your people who are present here willingly offer gifts to you.
૧૭હું જાણું છું, મારા ઈશ્વર કે તમે અંત: કરણને તપાસો છો અને મનનું ખરાપણું તમને આનંદ પમાડે છે. આ બધું મેં સ્વેચ્છાએ સાચા હૃદયથી અર્પ્યું છે અને અત્યારે અહીં હાજર રહેલ તમામ લોકોને રાજીખુશીથી અર્પણ કરતા જોઈને મને આનંદ થાય છે.
18 Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel—our ancestors—keep this forever in the thoughts of the minds of your people. Direct their hearts toward you.
૧૮હે યહોવાહ, અમારા પિતૃઓ, ઇબ્રાહિમ, ઇસહાક અને ઇઝરાયલના પ્રભુ, તમારા લોકોનાં હૃદય અને વિચારો સદા એવા જ રાખો અને તેમના હૃદયને તમારી તરફ વાળો.
19 Give to Solomon my son a wholehearted desire to keep your commandments, your covenant decrees, and your statutes, and to carry out all these plans to build the palace for which I have made provision.”
૧૯મારા પુત્ર સુલેમાનને સંપૂર્ણ સમર્પિત હૃદય આપો જેથી તે તમારી બધી જ આજ્ઞાઓ, વિધિઓ અને નિયમોનું પાલન કરે અને આ બધાં કામો કરે. જે મહેલને માટે મેં તૈયારી કરી છે તે મહેલ પણ તે બાંધે.”
20 David said to all the assembly, “Now bless Yahweh your God.” All the assembly blessed Yahweh, the God of their ancestors, bowed their heads and worshiped Yahweh and prostrated themselves before the king.
૨૦દાઉદે સમગ્ર સભાના લોકોને કહ્યું, “યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ કરો!” અને આખી સભાએ યહોવાહ તેમના પિતૃઓના ઈશ્વર સમક્ષ પોતાના માથા નમાવીને તેમની આરાધના કરી અને રાજાનું અભિવાદન કર્યુ.
21 On the next day, they made sacrifices to Yahweh and offered burnt offerings to him. They offered a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.
૨૧બીજે દિવસે યહોવાહના માટે તેઓએ બલિદાન આપ્યાં અને દહનીયાર્પણ ચઢાવ્યા. તેઓએ એક હજાર બળદો, એક હજાર હલવાન અને એક હજાર ઘેટાંના અર્પણ સહિત આખા ઇઝરાયલ માટે પેયાર્પણ કર્યું.
22 On that day, they ate and drank before Yahweh with great celebration. They made Solomon, David's son, king a second time, and anointed him with Yahweh's authority to be ruler. They also anointed Zadok to be priest.
૨૨તે દિવસે, તેઓએ યહોવાહ સમક્ષ ખાંધુપીધું અને ખૂબ આનંદ કર્યો. તેમણે દાઉદના પુત્ર સુલેમાનને બીજીવાર રાજા જાહેર કર્યો અને તેનો યહોવાહના નામે શાસક તરીકે અને સાદોકને ઈશ્વરના યાજક તરીકે અભિષેક કર્યો.
23 Then Solomon sat on Yahweh's throne as king instead of David his father. He prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.
૨૩પછી સુલેમાન પોતાના પિતા દાઉદના અનુગામી તરીકે યહોવાહે સ્થાપેલા સિંહાસન પર બિરાજયો. તે સમૃદ્ધ થયો અને સમગ્ર ઇઝરાયલ લોકો તેને આધીન થયા.
24 All the leaders, soldiers, and King David's sons gave allegiance to King Solomon.
૨૪તમામ અધિકારીઓએ અને યોદ્ધાઓએ તેમ જ રાજા દાઉદના બધા પુત્રોએ રાજા સુલેમાન પ્રત્યે વફાદારીના શપથ લીધાં.
25 Yahweh greatly honored Solomon before all Israel and bestowed on him greater power than he had ever given to any king before him in Israel.
૨૫યહોવાહે, સુલેમાનને ઇઝરાયલની નજરમાં ખૂબ મહાન કર્યો અને ઇઝરાયલના કોઈ પણ રાજાએ પહેલાં કદી મેળવી ના હોય તેવી જાહોજલાલી તેને આપી.
26 David son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
૨૬યિશાઈના પુત્ર દાઉદે આખા ઇઝરાયલ પર શાસન કર્યું.
27 David had been king of Israel for forty years. He ruled for seven years in Hebron and for thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
૨૭તેણે ઇઝરાયલ પર ચાળીસ વર્ષ સુધી સત્તા ભોગવી. તેણે સાત વર્ષ હેબ્રોનમાં અને તેત્રીસ વર્ષ યરુશાલેમમાં રાજય કર્યુ હતું.
28 He died at a good old age, after enjoying a long life, wealth and honor. Solomon his son succeeded him.
૨૮સંપત્તિ અને સન્માન સાથે દીર્ધાયુથી પરિપૂર્ણ થઈને તે મૃત્યુ પામ્યો અને તેના પછી તેના પુત્ર સુલેમાને રાજય કર્યું.
29 King David's accomplishments are written in the history of Samuel the prophet, in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the history of Gad the prophet.
૨૯રાજા દાઉદના શાસનમાં બનેલા બધા જ બનાવો પહેલેથી છેલ્લે સુધી પ્રબોધક શમુએલ, પ્રબોધક નાથાન અને પ્રબોધક ગાદના પુસ્તકોમાં લખેલા છે.
30 Recorded there are the deeds of his rule, his accomplishments and the events that affected him, Israel, and all the kingdoms of the other lands.
૩૦તેની આખી કારકિર્દી, તેના પરાક્રમ તથા તેના ઉપર ઇઝરાયલ પર તેમ જ દેશોના સર્વ રાજ્યો ઊપર જે સમય ગુજાર્યો તે સર્વ વિષે તેમાં લખેલું છે.
