< Romans 13 >
1 Let every soule submit him selfe vnto the auctorite of ye hyer powers. For there is no power but of God.
Every soul to the authorities being above [him] should be subject. Not for there is authority only except (by *N(k)O*) God, those however existing (authorities *k*) by (*k*) God instituted are.
2 The powers that be are ordeyned of God. Whosoever therfore resysteth power resisteth the ordinaunce of God. And they that resist shall receave to the selfe damnacio.
Therefore the [one] resisting the authority the of God ordinance has resisted; those now having resisted upon themselves judgment will bring.
3 For rulars are not to be feared for good workes but for evyll Wilt thou be with out feare of the power? Do well then: and so shalt thou be praysed of the same.
The for rulers not are a terror (to the good *N(k)O*) (work *N(K)O*) but (to the evil. *N(k)O*) Do you desire now not to fear the authority? The good do perform and you will have praise from him;
4 For he is the minister of God for thy welth. But and yf thou do evyll then feare: for he beareth not a swearde for nought: but is the minister of God to take vengeaunce on them that do evyll.
Of God for servant he is to you for good. If however evil you shall do, do be afraid; not for in vain the sword he bears. of God for a servant He is an avenger for wrath to the [one] evil doing.
5 Wherfore ye must nedes obeye not for feare of vengeaunce only: but also because of conscience.
Therefore necessary [it is] to be subject, not only on account of the wrath but also on account of the conscience.
6 And even for this cause paye ye tribute. For they are goddes ministers servynge for the same purpose.
Because of this for also taxes pay you; servants for of God they are upon this very thing attending continually.
7 Geve to every man therfore his duetie: Tribute to whom tribute belongeth: Custome to whom custome is due: feare to whom feare belongeth: Honoure to who honoure pertayneth
do render (therefore *K*) to all their dues, to whom the tax the tax, to whom the revenue the revenue, to whom the respect the respect, to whom the honor the honor.
8 Owe nothinge to eny man: but to love one another. For he that loveth another fulfylleth the lawe.
To no one nothing do owe only except one another to love; the [one] for loving the other [the] Law has fulfilled;
9 For these commaundementes: Thou shalt not comit advoutry: Thou shalt not kyll: Thou shalt not steale: Thou shalt not beare false witnes: Thou shalt not desyre and so forth (yf there be eny other comaundement) they are all comprehended in this sayinge: Love thyne neghbour as thy selfe.
For Not you will commit adultery, Not you will murder, Not you will steal (not will you bear false witness *K*) Not you will covet, and if any other commandment, in word this it is summed up, in the [saying] You will love the neighbour of you as (yourself. *NK(O)*)
10 Love hurteth not his neghbour. Therfore is love the fulfillynge of the lawe.
Love to the neighbour evil not does do; [the] fulfillment therefore of [the] law love [is].
11 This also we knowe I mean the season howe that it is tyme that we shuld now awake oute of slepe. For now is oure salvacion nearer then when we beleved.
And this knowing the time, that [it is the] hour already ([for] you *N(k)O*) out of sleep to awaken; now for nearer [is] of us the salvation than when first we believed;
12 The nyght is passed and the daye is come nye. Let us therfore cast awaye the dedes of darcknes and let vs put on the (Armoure) of lyght.
The night is nearly over and the day has drawn near. (We may cast off *NK(o)*) therefore the works of darkness, (and *k*) we may put on (now *no*) the armor of light.
13 Let vs walke honestly as it were in the daye lyght: not in eatynge and drinkynge: nether in chamburynge and wantannes: nether in stryfe and envyinge:
As in daytime properly we may walk, not in reveling and in drinking, not in sexual immorality and in sensuality, not in dissension and in jealousy;
14 but put ye on the Lorde Iesus Christ. And make not provision for the flesshe to fulfyll ye lustes of it.
But do put on the Lord Jesus Christ and of the flesh provision not do make for desires.
