Genesis 7
1 And the LORde sayd vnto Noe: goo in to the arcke both thou and all thy houssold. For the haue I sene rightuous before me in thys generacion.
Dieu dit alors à Noé: Entre dans l'arche avec toute ta maison, parce que parmi toute cette race, je t'ai vu juste devant moi.
2 Of all clene beastes take vnto the. vij. of every kynde the male and hys female And of vnclene beastes a payre the male and hys female:
De tous les bestiaux purs introduis auprès de toi sept couples, mâles et femelles, et de tous les animaux impurs deux couples mâles et femelles;
3 lykewyse of the byrdes of the ayre vij. of every kynde male and female to save seed vppon all the erth.
De tous les oiseaux purs du ciel sept couples mâles et femelles, et de tous les oiseaux impurs deux couples mâles et femelles, afin d'en conserver la semence pour toute la terre.
4 For. vij. dayes hence wyll I send rayne vppo the erth. xl. dayes and. xl. nyghtes and wyll dystroy all maner of thynges that I haue made from of the face of the erth.
Car, encore sept jours, et je ferai tomber la pluie sur toute la terre, quarante jours et quarante nuits; et j'effacerai de la face de toute la terre tout ce qui s'y élève et que j'ai fait.
5 And Noe dyd acordynge to all yt the lorde comaunded hym:
Noé fit tout ce que lui ordonna le Seigneur Dieu.
6 and Noe was. vi. hundred yere olde when the floud of water came vppon the erth:
Il était âgé de six cents ans, lorsque le déluge vint sur la terre.
7 and Noe went and his sonnes and his wyfe and his sonnes wyves wyth hym in to the arke from the waters of the floud.
Bientôt Noé, et avec lui ses fils, et sa femme, et les femmes de ses fils entrèrent dans l'arche, à cause de l'eau du déluge.
8 And of clene beastes and of beastes that ware vnclene and of byrdes and of all that crepeth vppo the erth
De tous les oiseaux purs et de tous les oiseaux impurs, de tous les bestiaux puis et de tous les bestiaux impurs, ainsi que de tous les animaux qui rampent sur la terre,
9 came in by cooples of every kynde vnto Noe in to the arke: a male and a female: even as God commaunded Noe.
Deux couples mâles et femelles entrèrent auprès de Noé dans l'arche, selon que le Seigneur avait prescrit à Noé.
10 And the seventh daye the waters of the floud came vppon the erth.
Et après que les sept jours furent passés, l'eau du déluge vint sur la terre.
11 In the. vi. hundred yere of Noes lyfe in the secode moneth in the. xvij daye of the moneth yt same daye were all the founteynes of the grete depe broken vp and the wyndowes of heave were opened
L'an six cent de la vie de Noé, le vingt-septième jour de la seconde lune, toutes les sources de l'abîme jaillirent et les cataractes du ciel furent rompues.
12 ad there fell a rayne vpon the erth. xl. dayes and. xl. nyghtes.
La pluie tomba sur la terre quarante jours et quarante nuits.
13 And the selfe same daye went Noe Sem Ham and Iapheth Noes sonnes and Noes wyfe and the. iij. wyues of his sonnes wyth them in to the arke:
En ces jours-là, Noé, Sem, Cham, Japhet, fils de Noé, la femme de Noé et les trois femmes de ses fils, étaient entrés dans l'arche.
14 both they and all maner of beastes in their kide and all maner of catell in their kynde and all maner of wormes that crepe vppon the erth in their kynde and all maner of byrdes in there kynde. and all maner off foules what soever had feders.
Et toutes les bêtes fauves, par espèces; tous les bestiaux, par espèces; tous les reptiles se traînant à terre, par espèces; tous les oiseaux ailés, par espèces;
15 And they came vnto Noe in to the arke by cooples of all flesh yt had breth of lyfe in it.
Étaient entrés auprès de Noé, dans l'arche, par deux couples, mâles et femelles, de toute chair en laquelle était souffle de vie.
16 And they that came came male ad female of every flesh acordige as God comaunded hym: and ye LORde shytt the dore vppo him
Tous les mâles et femelles de toute chair étaient donc entrés dans l'arche, selon ce que le Seigneur avait prescrit à Noé, et le Seigneur Dieu avait fermé l'arche en dehors.
17 And the floud came. xl. dayes and. xl. nyghtes vppon the erth and the water increased and bare vp the arcke ad it was lifte vp from of the erth
Et le déluge fut sur toute la terre quarante jours et quarante nuits; l'eau se gonfla, et emporta l'arche qui s'éleva bien au-dessus de la terre.
18 And the water prevayled and increased exceadingly vppon the erth: and the arke went vppo he toppe of the waters.
Et l'eau dominait; elle montait, montait toujours sur la terre, et l'arche était portée sur la surface de l'eau.
19 And the waters prevayled excedingly above mesure vppo the erth so that all the hye hylles which are vnder all the partes of heaven were covered:
Et l'eau dominait beaucoup, beaucoup sur la terre; et elle couvrait toutes les hautes montagnes qui étaient sous le ciel.
20 eve. xv. cubytes hye prevayled the waters so that the hylles were covered.
L'eau s'éleva à quinze coudées au-dessus de leur sommet.
21 And all fleshe that moved on the erth bothe birdes catell and beastes perisshed with al that crepte on the erth and all men:
Alors mourut toute chair se mouvant sur la terre, oiseaux et bestiaux, bêtes fauves et reptiles se traînant à terre, et tout homme.
22 so that all that had the breth of liffe in the nostrels of it thorow out all that was on drye lond dyed.
Tout ce qui avait souffle de vie, et tout ce qui vivait sur la terre ferme mourut.
23 Thus was destroyed all that was vppo the erth both man beastes wormes and foules of the ayre so that they were destroyed from the erth: save Noe was reserved only and they that were wyth hym in the arke.
L'eau effaça tout ce qui se mouvait sur la face de la terre, depuis l'homme jusqu'aux bestiaux, tous les reptiles, et les oiseaux du ciel. Ils furent tous effacés de la terre. Noé seul resta, et ceux qui étaient dans l'arche avec lui.
24 And the waters prevayled vppon the erth an hundred and fyftye dayes.
L'eau se maintint au-dessus de la terre cent cinquante jours.
