Genesis 6
1 And it came to passe wha men bega to multiplye apo the erth ad had begot them doughters
Cuando los hombres comenzaron a multiplicarse sobre la tierra y les nacieron hijas,
2 the sonnes of God sawe the doughters of men that they were fayre and toke vnto them wyves which they best liked amoge the all.
y vieron los hijos de Dios que las hijas de los hombres eran hermosas, tomaron de entre todas ellas por mujeres las que les agradaron.
3 And the LORd sayd: My spirite shall not allwaye stryve withe man for they are flesh. Nevertheles I wyll geue them yet space and hundred and. xx. yeres
Entonces dijo Yahvé: “No permanecerá para siempre mi espíritu en el hombre, a causa de su delito; no es más que carne, y serán sus días ciento veinte años.”
4 There were tirantes in the world in thos dayes. For after that the children of God had gone in vnto the doughters of men and had begotten them childern the same childern were the mightiest of the world and men of renowne
En aquellos días había gigantes en la tierra, y también después, cuando los hijos de Dios se llegaron a las hijas de los hombres y ellas les dieron hijos. Estos son los héroes, los varones famosos de la antigüedad.
5 And whan the LORde sawe yt the wekednesse of man was encreased apon the erth and that all the ymaginacion and toughtes of his hert was only evell continually
Viendo, pues, Yahvé que era grande la maldad del hombre sobre la tierra, y que todos los pensamientos de su corazón se dirigían únicamente al mal, todos los días,
6 he repented that he had made man apon the erth and sorowed in his hert.
Yahvé se arrepintió de haber hecho al hombre en la tierra, y se dolió en su corazón.
7 And sayd: I wyll destroy mankynde which I haue made fro of the face of the erth: both man beast worme and foule of the ayre for it repeteth me that I haue made them.
Y dijo Yahvé: “Exterminaré de sobre la faz de la tierra al hombre que he creado, desde el hombre hasta las bestias, hasta los reptiles, y hasta las aves del cielo, porque me arrepiento de haberlo hecho.”
8 But yet Noe found grace in the syghte of the LORde.
Mas Noé halló gracia a los ojos de Yahvé.
9 These are the generatios of Noe. Noe was a righteous man and vncorrupte in his tyme and walked wyth god.
He aquí la historia de Noé. Noé fue varón justo y perfecto entre los hombres de su tiempo, pues anduvo con Dios.
10 And Noe begat. iij. sonnes: Sem Ham and Iapheth.
Y engendró Noé tres hijos: Sem, Cam y Jafet.
11 And the erth was corrupte in the syghte of god and was full of mischefe.
La tierra estaba entonces corrompida delante de Dios, y llena de violencia.
12 And God loked vpon the erth ad loo it was corrupte: for all flesh had corrupte his way vppon the erth.
Miró, pues, Dios la tierra, y he aquí que estaba depravada, porque toda carne había corrompido su camino sobre la tierra.
13 Than sayd God to Noe: the end of all flesh is come before me for the erth is full of there myschefe. And loo I wyll destroy them with the erth.
Dijo entonces Dios a Noé: “He decidido el fin de toda carne; porque la tierra está colmada de violencia por culpa de ellos; por eso he aquí que voy a exterminarlos juntamente con la tierra.
14 Make the an arcke of pyne tree and make chaumbers in the arcke and pytch it wythin and wythout wyth pytch.
Hazte un arca de maderas resinosas, la cual dividirás en compartimientos y calafatearás por dentro y por fuera con betún.
15 And of this facion shalt thou make it. The lenth of the arcke shall be. iij. hundred cubytes ad the bredth of it. l. cubytes and the heyth of it. xxx. cubytes.
La fabricarás de esta manera: trescientos codos será la longitud del arca, cincuenta codos su anchura, y treinta codos su altura.
16 A wyndow shalt thou make aboue in the arcke. And wythin a cubyte compasse shalt thou finysh it. And the dore of the arcke shalt thou sette in ye syde of it: and thou shalt make it with. iij loftes one aboue an other.
Harás en el arca una abertura para la luz, la cual dispondrás arriba, a un codo del techo. La puerta del arca pondrás en uno de sus costados, y harás un piso primero, un segundo y un tercero.
17 For behold I wil bringe in a floud of water apon the erth to destroy all flesh from vnder heaven wherin breth of life is so that all that is in the erth shall perish.
Pues he aquí que voy a traer un diluvio de aguas sobre la tierra, para exterminar toda carne que tiene en sí aliento de vida bajo el cielo. Todo lo que existe en la tierra, perecerá.
18 But I will make myne apoyntement with the that both thou shalt come in to ye arcke and thy sonnes thy wyfe and thy sonnes wyves with the.
Pero contigo estableceré mi pacto: Entrarás en el arca tú, y tus hijos, y tu mujer, y las mujeres de tus hijos contigo.
19 And of all that lyveth what soever flesh it be shalt thou brynge in to the arcke of every thynge a payre to kepe them a lyve wyth the. And male and female
Y de todos los animales de toda carne, de toda clase (de ellos), introducirás parejas en el arca para que tengan vida contigo; serán macho y hembra;
20 se that they be of byrdes in their kynde and of beastes in their kynde and of all maner of wormes of the erth in their kinde: a payre of every thinge shall come vnto the to kepe them a lyve.
de las aves según su especie, de las bestias según su especie, de todos los reptiles de la tierra según su especie. Dos de cada clase vendrán a ti, para que les conserves la vida.
21 And take vnto the of all maner of meate yt may be eaten and laye it vp in stoore by the that it may be meate both for ye and for the:
Provéete de todo alimento que se come, acópiate provisiones para que os sirvan de comida a ti y a ellos.”
22 and Noe dyd acordynge to all that God commaunded hym.
Noé hizo conforme a cuanto Dios le había mandado. Así se hizo.
