Genesis 10
1 These are the generations of the sonnes of Noe: of Sem Ham and Iapheth which begat them children after the floude.
Or ce sont ici les générations des enfants de Noé, Sem, Cam et Japheth; auxquels naquirent des enfants après le déluge.
2 The sonnes of Iapheth were: Gomyr Magog Madai Iauan Tuball Mesech and Thyras.
Les enfants de Japheth sont Gomer, Magog, Madaï, Javan, Tubal, Mésech, et Tiras.
3 And the sonnes of Gomyr were: Ascenas Riphat and Togarina.
Et les enfants de Gomer, Askénaz, Riphath, et Thogarma.
4 And the sonnes of Iauan were: Elisa Tharsis Cithun and Dodanim.
Et les enfants de Javan, Elisa, Tarsis, Kittim, et Dodanim.
5 Of these came the Iles of the gentylls in there contres every man in his speach kynred and nation.
De ceux-là furent divisées les Iles des nations par leurs terres, chacun selon sa langue, selon leurs familles, entre leurs nations.
6 The sonnes of Ham were: Chus Misraim Phut and Canaan.
Et les enfants de Cam sont Cus, Mitsraïm, Put, et Canaan.
7 The sonnes of Chus: were Seba Hevila Sabta Rayma and Sabtema. And the sonnes of Rayma were: Sheba and Dedan.
Et les enfants de Cus: Séba, Havila, Sabtah, Rahma, et Sebtéca. Et les enfants de Rahma, Séba, et Dédan.
8 Chus also begot Nemrod which bega to be myghtye in the erth.
Cus engendra aussi Nimrod, qui commença d'être puissant sur la terre.
9 He was a myghtie hunter in the syghte of the LORde: Where of came the proverbe: he is as Nemrod that myghtie hunter in the syghte of the LORde.
Il fut un puissant chasseur devant l'Eternel; c'est pourquoi l'on a dit: Comme Nimrod, le puissant chasseur devant l'Eternel.
10 And the begynnynge of hys kyngdome was Babell Erech Achad and Chalne in the lande of Synear:
Et le commencement de son règne fut Babel, Erec, Accad, et Calné au pays de Sinhar.
11 Out of that lande came Assur and buylded Ninyue and the cyte rehoboth and Calah
De ce pays-là sortit Assur, et il bâtit Ninive, et les rues de la ville, et Calah,
12 And Ressen betwene Ninyue ad Chalah. That is a grete cyte.
Et Résen, entre Ninive et Calah, qui est une grande ville.
13 And Mizraim begat Iudun Enamim Leabim Naphtuhim
Mitsraïm engendra Ludim, Hanamim, Léhabim, Naphtuhim.
14 Pathrusim and Castuhim: from whence came the Philystyns and the Capthiherynes.
Pathrusim, Chasluhim, desquels sont issus les Philistins, et Caphtorim.
15 Canaan also begat zidon his eldest sonne and Heth
Et Canaan engendra Sidon, son fils aîné, et Heth,
16 Iebusi Emori Girgosi
Les Jébusiens, les Amorrhéens, les Guirgasiens,
17 Hiui Arki Sini
Les Héviens, les Harkiens, et les Siniens,
18 Aruadi Zemari and hamari. And afterward sprange the kynreds of the Canaanytes
Les Arvadiens, les Tsémariens, et les Hamathiens. Et ensuite les familles des Cananéens se sont dispersées.
19 And the costes of the Canaanytes were fro Sydon tyll thou come to Gerara and to Asa and tyll thou come to Sodoma Gomorra Adama Zeboim: eve vnto Lasa.
Et les limites des Cananéens furent depuis Sidon, quand on vient vers Guérar, jusqu'à Gaza, en tirant vers Sodome et Gomorrhe, Adma, et Tséboïm, jusqu'à Lésa.
20 These were the chyldre of Ham in there kynreddes tonges landes and nations.
Ce sont là les enfants de Cam selon leurs familles [et leurs] langues, en leurs pays, et en [leurs] nations.
21 And Sem the father of all ye childre of Eber and the eldest brother of Iapheth begat children also.
Et il naquit des enfants à Sem, père de tous les enfants d'Héber, et frère de Japheth, [qui était] le plus grand.
22 And his sonnes were: Elam Assur Arphachsad Lud ad Aram.
Et les enfants de Sem sont Hélam, Assur, Arpacsad, Lud, et Aram.
23 And ye childree of Aram were: Vz Hul Gether and Mas
Et les enfants d'Aram, Hus, Hul, Guéther et Mas.
24 And Arphachsad begat Sala and Sala begat Eber.
Et Arpacsad engendra Sélah, et Sélah engendra Héber.
25 And Eber begat. ij. sonnes. The name of the one was Peleg for in his tyme the erth was devyded. And the name of his brother was Iaketanr
Et à Héber naquirent deux fils: le nom de l'un fut Péleg, parce qu'en son temps la terre fut partagée; et le nom de son frère fut Joktan.
26 Iaketan begat Almodad Saleph Hyzarmoneth Iarah
Et Joktan engendra Almodad, Séleph, Hatsarmaveth, et Jérah.
27 Hadoram Vsal Dikela
Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla,
28 Obal Abimach Seba
Hobal, Abimaël, Séba,
29 Ophir Heuila and Iobab. All these are the sonnes of Iaketan.
Ophir, Havila, et Jobab. Tous ceux-là sont les enfants de Joktan.
30 And the dwellynge of them was from Mesa vntill thou come vnto Sephara a mountayne of the easte lande.
Et leur demeure était depuis Mésa, quand on vient en Séphar, montagne d'Orient.
31 These are the sonnes o Sem in their kynreddes languages contrees and nations.
Ce sont là les enfants de Sem, selon leurs familles [et] leurs langues, en leurs pays, et en [leurs] nations.
32 These are the kynreddes of the sonnes of Noe in their generations and nations. And of these came the people that were in the world after the floude.
Telles sont les familles des enfants de Noé, selon leurs lignées en leurs nations; et de ceux-là ont été divisées les nations sur la terre après le déluge.
