Acts 23
1 Paul behelde the counsell and sayde: men and brethre I have lived in all good coscience before God vntill this daye.
पावलले महासभाका मानिसहरूलाई सिधा हेरेर भने, “हे दाजुभाइहरू हो, आजको दिनसम्म म परमेश्वरको अगि सबै असल विवेकमा जिएको छु ।
2 The hye prest Ananias comaunded the that stode by to smyte him on the mouth.
प्रधान पूजाहारी हननियाले नजिकमा उभिरहेकाहरूलाई पावलको मुखमा हिर्काउन आज्ञा गरे ।
3 Then sayde Paul to him: God smyte the thou payntyd wall. Sittest thou and iudgest me after the lawe: and commaundest me to be smytten contrary to the lawe?
त्यसपछि पावलले तिनलाई भने, “परमेश्वरले तपाईं चुन पोतेको पर्खाललाई पनि प्रहार गर्नुहुनेछ । तपाईं व्यवस्थाद्वारा मेरो न्याय गर्न बसिरहनुभएको छ, र पनि व्यवस्थाको विरुद्धमा गएर मलाई हिर्काउने आज्ञा दिनुहुन्छ?”
4 And they that stode by sayde: revylest thou Goddes hye preste?
ती नजिकमा उभिरहेकाहरूले भने, “के तँ परमेश्वरका प्रधान पूजाहारीको यसरी निन्दा गर्छस्?”
5 Then sayd Paul: I wist not brethren that he was the hye preste. For it is writte thou shalt not curse the rular of thy people.
पावलले भने, “दाजुभाइहरू हो, उहाँ प्रधान पूजाहारी हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने मलाई थाहा थिएन । किनभने यस्तो लेखिएको छ, ʼतिमीले तिम्रा मानिसहरूका शासकहरूबारे खराब कुरा बोल्नुहुदैन‘।”
6 When Paul perceaved that the one parte were Saduces and the other Pharises: he cryed oute in the counsell. Men and brethren I am a Pharisaye the sonne of a Pharisaye. Of the hope and resurreccion fro deeth I am iudged.
जब पावलले परिषद्को एक भाग सदूकीहरू र अर्को भाग फरिसीहरू रहेछन् भनी देखे, तब उनले परिषद्मा ठुलो सोरले भने, “दाजुभाइहरू हो, म फरिसीका छोरा एक फरिसी हुँ । मृतकहरूको पुनरुत्थानमा दृढ आशा भएकै कारणले मलाई न्याय गरिँदै छ ।”
7 And when he had so sayde ther arose a debate bitwene the Pharisayes and ye Saduces and the multitude was devided.
उनले यो कुरा भनेपछि सदूकी र फरिसीहरूका बिचमा वादविवाद सुरु भयो, र सभा विभाजित भयो ।
8 For ye Saduces saye that ther is no resurreccio nether angell nor sprete. But the Pharisayes graunt bothe.
किनकि ती सदूकीहरूले पुनरुथान हुँदैन, स्वर्गदूतहरू छैनन् र आत्माहरू छैनन् भन्छन्, तर फरिसीहरूले यी सबै कुराहरू अस्तित्वमा छन् भन्छन् ।
9 And ther arose a great crye and the Scribes which were of the Pharisayes parte arose and strove sayinge: we fynde none evyll in this man. Though a sprete or an angell hath apered to him let vs not stryve agaynst God.
त्यसैले, त्यहाँ ठुलो होहल्ला भयो, अनि कतिपय फरिसीहरूमध्येका शास्त्रीहरू उठे, र यसो भन्दै तर्क गरे, “यी मानिसमा हामी कुनै गल्ती भेट्टाउँदैनौँ । यदि आत्मा वा स्वर्गदूतले नै तिनीसँग बोलेका हुन् भने, के गर्ने त?”
10 And when ther arose greate debate the captayne fearynge lest Paul shuld have bene pluckt asondre of them comaunded the soudiers to goo doune and to take him from amonge them and to bringe him into the castle.
जब त्यहाँ अझै ठुलो विवाद उठ्यो, तिनीहरूले पावललाई टुक्रा-टुक्रा पार्लान् कि भनेर मुख्य कप्तान डराए । त्यसैले, उनले तल गएर परिषद्का सदस्यहरूका बिचबाट पावललाई जबरजस्ती सेनाको किल्लामा ल्याउन सेनाहरूलाई आदेश दिए ।
11 The nyght folowyng God stode by him and sayde: Be of good cheare Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Ierusalem so must thou beare witnes at Rome.
अर्को रात परमेश्वर उनको छेउमा आएर उभिनुभयो, र भन्नुभयो, “नडराऊ, किनकि जसरी तिमीले मेरो बारेमा यरूशलेममा गवाही दिएका छौ, त्यसरी नै तिमीले रोममा पनि गवाही दिनुपर्छ ।”
12 When daye was come certayne of the Iewes gaddered them selves to geder and made a vowe sayinge that they wolde nether eate nor drinke till they had killed Paul.
जब उज्यालो भयो, केही यहूदीहरूले मतो गरे, र तिनीहरू आफैँमाथि श्राप घोषणा गरेः तिनीहरूले यसो भने, कि तिनीहरूले पावललाई नमारेसम्म न केही खानेछन्, न त पिउनेछन् ।
13 They were aboute. xl. which had made this conspiracio.
यसरी षड्यन्त्र गर्नेहरू चालिस जनाभन्दा बढी थिए ।
14 And they cam to ye chefe prestes and elders and sayde: we have boude oure selves with a vowe that we will eate nothinge vntill we have slayne Paul.
तिनीहरू प्रधान पूजाहारीहरू र अगुवाहरूकहाँ गएर भने, “हामीले पावललाई नमारेसम्म केही नखाने र केही नपिउने भनी ठुलो भाकल गरेका छौँ ।
15 Now therfore geve ye knowlege to the vpper captayne and to the counsell that he bringe him forth vnto vs to morow as though we wolde knowe some thinge more perfectly of him. But we (or ever he come neare) are redy in ye meane season to kill him.
त्यसैले, उनको मुद्दालाई अझ ठिक प्रकारले निर्णय गर्ने गरी परिषद्ले मुख्य कप्तानलाई पावललाई तल ल्याउनलाई भनोस् । हामीचाहिँ तिनी यहाँ आउनुअगावै तिनलाई मार्न तयार हुन्छौँ ।”
16 When Pauls sisters sonne hearde of their layinge awayte he wet and entred into the castle and tolde Paul.
तर तिनीहरूले उनलाई मार्न पर्खिरहेका थिए भनी पावलको भान्जाले सुने । त्यसैले, ऊ सेनाको किल्लाभित्र प्रवेश गरी पावललाई त्यो कुरा बताइदियो ।
17 And Paul called one of ye vnder captaynes vnto him and sayde: bringe this younge man vnto ye hye captayne: for he hath a certayne thinge to shewe him.
पावलले सेनाहरूमध्ये एक जना कप्तानलाई बोलाएर भने, “यो जवान केटालाई मुख्य कप्तानकहाँ लगिदिनुहोस्, किनभने उसँग उहाँलाई भन्ने केही कुरा छ ।”
18 And he toke him and sayd: Paul ye presoner called me vnto him and prayed me to brige this youge ma vnto ye which hath a certayne matter to shewe ye.
त्यसैले, उनले जवान केटोलाई मुख्य कप्तानकहाँ लगे, र उनले भने, “कैदी पावलले मलाई बोलाए, र यो केटोलाई तपाईंकहाँ लैजान भने । उसँग तपाईंलाई भन्ने केही कुरा छ ।”
19 The hye captayne toke him by the hond and wet a parte with him out of the waye: and axed him: what hast thou to saye vnto me?
मुख्य कप्तानले त्यो केटोलाई हातले समातेर गोप्य ठाउँमा लगेर उसलाई सोधे, “तिमीले मलाई के भन्नु छ?”
20 And he sayd: the Iewes are determined to desyre the yt thou woldest brynge forth Paul to morowe into the counsell as though they wolde enquyre somwhat of him more parfectly.
त्यो जवान मानिसले भन्यो, “तिनीहरूले उनको मुद्दालाई अझ ठिकसँग सोधपुछ गर्ने गरी ती यहूदीहरूले भोलि पावललाई तल परिषद्मा ल्याउनका लागि तपाईंलाई अनुरोध गर्न सहमत भएका छन् ।
21 But folowe not their mindes: for ther lyein wayte for him of the moo then. xl. men which have boude the selves wt a vowe that they will nether eate ner drinke till they have killed him. And now are they redy and loke for thy promes.
तर पावललाई उनीहरूको हातमा नसुम्पनुहोस्, किनभने त्यहाँ चालिसभन्दा बढी मानिस उनलाई मार्न पर्खेर बसिरहेका छन् । उनीहरूले पावललाई नमारेसम्म खाना पनि नखाने र केही पनि नपिउने भनी भाकल गरेका छन् ।”
22 The vpper captayne let ye yoge man departe and charged: se thou tell it out to no man that thou hast shewed these thinges to me.
त्यसैले, प्रमुख कप्तानले त्यो जवान मानिसलाई यस्तो निर्देशन दिएर जान दिए, “तिमीले मलाई भनेका यी कुराहरू अरू कसैलाई पनि नभन्नू ।”
23 And he called vnto him two vnder captaynes sayinge: make redy two hondred soudiers to goo to Cesarea and horsmen threscore and ten and speare men two houndred at the thyrde houre of the nyght.
त्यसपछि तिनले दुई जना कप्तानलाई बोलाए, र भने, “कैसरियासम्म जानको लागि दुई सय जना सिपाही, सत्तरी जना घोडचढी र दुई सय जना भालाधारी सिपाही तयार पार । तिमीहरू रातको तेस्रो पहरमा हिडँनुपर्नेछ ।”
24 And delyvre them beastes that they maye put Paul on and bringe him safe vnto Felix the hye debite
अनि उनले पावलले चढ्न सक्ने जनावरहरू उपलब्ध गराउन र उनलाई शासक फेलिक्सकहाँ सुरक्षित पुर्याउनलाई आज्ञा गरे ।
25 and wrote a letter in this maner.
त्यसपछि उनले यस्तो चिट्ठी लेखे ।
26 Claudius Lisias vnto ye most mighty rular Felix sendeth gretinges.
“क्लाउडियस लुसियसबाट, माननीय राज्यपाल फेलिक्सलाई अभिवादन ।
27 This man was take of the Iewes and shuld have bene killed of them. Then cam I with soudiers and rescued him and perceaved that he was a Romayne.
यी मानिस यहूदीहरूबाट पक्रिएका थिए र तिनीहरूले यिनलाई मार्नै लागेका थिए । जब मैले सैन्यदलसहित गएर यी मानिसको उद्धार गरेँ, त्यसपछि तिनी रोमी नागरिक रहेछन् भन्ने कुरा थाहा पाएँ ।
28 And when I wolde have knowen the cause wherfore they accused him I brought him forth into their cousell.
यिनीहरूले यी मानिसलाई किन दोष लगाएका रहेछन् भनी जान्नको लागि मैले तिनलाई तिनीहरूको परिषद्मा ल्याएँ ।
29 There perceaved I yt he was accused of questios of their lawe: but was not giltye of eny thinge worthy of deeth or of bondes.
मैले थाहा पाएँ, कि उनीहरूले उनीहरूको आफ्नै व्यवस्थाको विरुद्धमा यी मानिसलाई दोष लगाएका रहेछन् । तर मृत्युदण्ड दिनुपर्ने वा झ्यालखानामा हाल्नुपर्ने तिनको विरुद्धमा त्यस्तो कसुर भएको मैले देखिनँ ।
30 Afterwarde when it was shewed me how that ye Iewes layde wayte for ye man I sent him strayght waye to the and gave commaundmet to his accusars yf they had ought agaynst him to tell it vnto ye: fare well.
र मलाई यो पनि जानकारी गराइयो, कि त्यहाँ यी मानिसलाई मार्नको लागि षड्यन्त्र गरिएको थियो । त्यसकारण, मैले तुरुन्तै यी मानिसलाई तपाईं समक्ष पठाइदिएको छु, र दोष लगाउने मानिसहरूलाई पनि यिनको विरुद्धमा जे-जे छ तपाईंकै उपस्थितिमा राख्नू भनी निर्देशन दिएको छु । बिदा!”
31 Then ye soudiers as it was comaunded the toke Paul and brought him by nyght to Antipatras.
यसरी सिपाहीहरूले तिनीहरूलाई दिइएको आज्ञाअनुसार पावललाई लगे, र उनलाई सोही रात एन्टिपाट्रिस ल्याए ।
32 On the morowe they lefte horsmen to goo with him and returned vnto the castle.
अर्को दिन धेरैजसो सिपाहीहरूले पावललाई घोडचढीहरूसँग छोडेर उनीहरूचाहिँ सैन्य किल्लामा फर्के ।
33 Which when they cam to Cesarea they delivered the epistle to the debite and presented Paul before him.
जब घोडचढीहरू कैसरिया पुगे, र तिनीहरूले शासकलाई पत्र हस्तान्तरण गरे, तिनीहरूले पावललाई पनि तिनीकहाँ बुझाए ।
34 When the debite had redde the letter he axed of what countre he was and when he vnderstode that he was of Cicill
जब शासकले चिट्ठी पढे, उनले पावल कुन प्रान्तबाट आएका हुन् भनी सोधे । तिनी किलिकियाबाट आएको कुरा थाहा पाएर
35 I will heare the (sayde he) whe thyne accusars are come also: and commaunded him to be kepte in Herodes pallys.
उनले भने, “तिमीलाई दोष लगाउने मानिसहरू आएपछि म पूर्ण रूपमा तिम्रो कुरा सुन्नेछु ।” तब उनले पावललाई हेरोदको दरबारमा राख्ने आज्ञा गरे ।
