Revelation 3
1 To the Angel of the Church in Sardis write: — “These are the words of him who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars; — I know your life, and that men say of you that you are living, though you are dead.
Andělu pak církve Sardinské piš: Toto praví ten, jenž má sedm duchů Božích a sedm hvězd: Vím skutky tvé: máš jméno, že jsi živ, ale jsi mrtvý.
2 Be on the watch, and strengthen what still survives, though once it was all but dead; for I have not found your life perfect in the eyes of my God.
Budiž bedlivý, a potvrdiž toho, což mělo umříti. Neboť jsem nenalezl skutků tvých plných před Bohem.
3 Therefore remember what you have received and heard, and lay it to heart and repent. Unless you are on the watch, I shall come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I am coming to you.
Pomniž tedy, co jsi přijal a slyšel, a ostříhej toho, a čiň pokání. Pakli bdíti nebudeš, přijduť na tě jako zloděj, a nezvíš, v kterou hodinu na tě přijdu.
4 Yet there are some few among you at Sardis who did not soil their robes; they shall walk with me, robed in white, for they are worthy.
Ale máš některé osoby i v Sardis, kteréž neposkvrnily roucha svého, protož budouť se procházeti se mnou v bílém rouše; nebo jsou hodni.
5 He who conquers shall be clothed in these white robes, and I will not ‘strike his name out of the Book of Life’; but I will own him before my Father, and before his angels.
Kdo zvítězí, tenť bude odín rouchem bílým; a nevymažiť jména jeho z knih života, ale vyznámť jméno jeho před obličejem Otce svého i před anděly jeho.
6 Let him who has ears hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.”
Kdo má uši, slyš, co Duch praví církvím.
7 To the Angel of the Church in Philadelphia write: — “These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds ‘the Key of David, who opens and no one shall shut, and shuts and no one opens’: —
Andělu pak Filadelfitské církve piš: Totoť praví ten svatý a pravý, jenž má klíč Davidův, kterýžto otvírá, a žádný nezavírá, a zavírá, žádný pak neotvírá:
8 I know your life (see, I have set a door open before you which no one is able to shut), I know that, though you have but little strength, you kept my teaching in mind, and did not disown my Name.
Vím skutky tvé. Aj, postavil jsem před tebou dveře otevřené, a žádnýť jich nemůže zavříti. Nebo máš ač nevelikou moc, a ostříhal jsi slova mého, a nezapřels jména mého.
9 Listen, I give some of the Congregation of Satan, the men who declare that they are Jews, though they are not, but are lying — I will make them ‘come and bow down at your feet,’ and they shall learn that I loved you.
Aj, dávámť některé z sběři satanovy, kteříž se praví býti Židé, a nejsou, ale klamají. Aj, pravím, způsobím to, žeť přijdou a budou se klaněti před nohama tvýma, a poznajíť, že jsem já tě miloval.
10 Because you kept in mind the story of my endurance, I will keep you in the hour of trial that is about to come upon the whole world, the hour that will test all who are living upon earth.
Nebo jsi ostříhal slova trpělivosti mé, i jáť tebe ostříhati budu od hodiny pokušení, kteréž přijíti má na všecken svět, aby zkušeni byli obyvatelé země.
11 I will come quickly. Hold to what you have received, that no one may take your crown.
Aj, přijduť brzy. Držiž se toho, co máš, aby žádný nevzal koruny tvé.
12 He who conquers — I will make him a pillar in the Temple of my God; and never more shall he leave it; and I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the City of my God, the New Jerusalem, which is coming down out of Heaven from my God, and I will write on him my new name.
Kdo zvítězí, učiním jej sloupem v chrámě Boha svého, a nevyjdeť již více ven; a napíšiť na něm jméno Boha svého a jméno města Boha mého, nového Jeruzaléma sstupujícího s nebe od Boha mého, i jméno své nové.
13 Let him who has ears hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.”
Kdo má uši, slyš, co Duch praví církvím.
14 To the Angel of the Church in Laodicaea write: — “These are the words of the Unchanging One, ‘the Witness faithful and true, the Beginning of the Creation of God’: —
Andělu pak církve Laodicenské piš: Toto praví Amen, svědek ten věrný a pravý, počátek stvoření Božího:
15 I know your life; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!
Vímť skutky tvé, že ani jsi studený, ani horký. Ó bys chutně studený byl anebo horký.
16 But now, because you are lukewarm, neither hot not cold, I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
A tak, že jsi vlažný, a ani studený, ani horký, vyvrhu tě z úst svých.
17 You say ‘I am rich and have grown rich, and I want for nothing,’ and you do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, naked!
Nebo pravíš: Bohatý jsem, a zbohatl jsem, a žádného nepotřebuji, a nevíš, že jsi bídný, mizerný, a chudý, a slepý, i nahý.
18 Therefore I counsel you to buy from me gold which has been refined by fire, that you may grow rich; and white robes, that you may be clothed and your shameful nakedness be hidden; and ointment to anoint your eyes, that you may see.
Radím tobě, abys sobě koupil ode mne zlata ohněm zprubovaného, abys byl bohatý, a v roucho bílé abys oblečen byl, a neokazovala se hanba nahoty tvé. A očí svých pomaž kollyrium, abys viděl.
19 ‘All whom I love I rebuke and discipline.’ Therefore be in earnest and repent.
Já kteréžkoli miluji, kárám a tresci; rozhorliž se tedy, a čiň pokání.
20 I am standing at the door and knocking! If any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will go in, and will feast with him, and he shall feast with me.
Aj, stojímť u dveří, a tluku. Jestližeť by kdo uslyšel hlas můj a otevřel dveře, vejduť k němu, a budu s ním večeřeti, a on se mnou.
21 To him who conquers — to him I will give the right to sit beside me on my throne, as I, when I conquered, took my seat beside my Father on his throne.
Kdož zvítězí, dám jemu seděti s sebou na trůnu svém, jako i já zvítězil jsem, a sedím s Otcem svým na trůnu jeho.
22 Let him who has ears hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.”
