< Mark 1 >
1 The beginning of the Good News about Jesus Christ.
Aphaba Pao asi Tengban Mapugi Machanupa Jisu Christtagi maramdani.
2 It is said in the Prophet Isaiah — ‘Behold! I send my Messenger before thy face; he shall prepare thy way.
Aphaba Pao asi, Mapu Ibungogi wa phongdokpiba maichou Isaiah-na ikhibagumna asumna hou-i, “Mapu Ibungona hai, ‘Eina eigi pao pubabu nahakki lambi thourang tounanaba nahakki namang thana thagani.’
3 The voice of one crying aloud in the Wilderness: “Make ready the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”’
Kanagumba amana lamjao lamhangda laori, ‘MAPU IBUNGO-gi lambi adu thourang tou; Ibungo mahakna chatnaba lambi chumhallu!’”
4 And in fulfilment of this, John the Baptizer appeared in the Wilderness, proclaiming a baptism upon repentance, for the forgiveness of sins.
Matou adugumduna baptize toubiba John-na miyamda pap kokchanabagidamak pukning hongbagi baptize touba adu sandoktuna lamjao lamhangda thorakle. Mahakna miyam aduda hairammi, “Nakhoina paptagi pukning hongduna baptize lou, aduga Mapu Ibungona nakhoigi papsing kokpigani.”
5 The whole of Judea, as well as all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, went out to him; and they were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
Jerusalem sahardagi mising yaona Judea lamdagi yamlaba misingna John-na hairibadu tananaba thoraklammi. Aduga makhoina makhoigi mapapsing haidokcharammi amasung John-na makhoibu Jordan turelda baptize toubirammi.
6 John was clad in clothing of camels’ hair, with a belt of leather round his waist, and lived on locusts and wild honey;
John-na ut matugi phi setlammi, sawun-gi khwangjet laklammi aduga koujeng amasung lamlakki khoihina mahakki chinjak oirammi.
7 and he proclaimed — “There is coming after me one more powerful than I, and I am not fit even to stoop down and unfasten his sandals.
Aduga miyam aduda mahakna asumna laothokle, “Eigi tungda lenglakkadouriba Ibungo mahak aduna eingondagi yamna henna matik magun chao-i. Eina nonthajaduna Ibungo mahakki sandal mari louthokpa phaoba itik chajade.
8 I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
Einadi nakhoibu isingda baptize tou-i adubu Ibungo mahaknadi nakhoibu Thawai Asengbada baptize toubigani.”
9 Now about that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
Matam aduda Jisuna Galilee-gi lam Nazareth-tagi laklammi amasung John-na Ibungobu Jordan turelda baptize toubikhi.
10 And just as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rent apart, and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon him,
Amasung Jisuna isingdagi hek karakpaga, nongdon atiya hangdoktuna Thawaina Ibungogi mathakta khunugumna lengtharakpa Ibungona urammi.
11 and from the heavens came a voice — “Thou art my Son, the Beloved; in thee I delight.”
Aduga swargadagi khonjel amana asumna hairak-i, “Nahak eigi nungsijaraba Ichanupani. Eina nangonda yamna pelle.”
12 Immediately afterwards the Spirit drove Jesus out into the Wilderness;
Adudagi khudak aduda Mapu Ibungogi Thawaina Ibungobu lamjao lamhangda puthoklammi.
13 and he was there in the Wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and among the wild beasts, while the angels ministered to him.
Aduga Satan-na themladuna mapham aduda Ibungona numit niphuni leire. Mapham aduda lamlakki sasingsu leirammi, adubu swargadutsingna laktuna Ibungobu thougal tourammi.
14 After John had been committed to prison, Jesus went to Galilee, proclaiming the Good News of God —
John-bu keisumsangda thamkhraba matungda, Jisuna Galilee-da chattuna Tengban Mapugi Aphaba Pao sandoklammi.
15 “The time has come, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the Good News.”
Ibungona hairak-i, “Achaba matam adu lakle, aduga Tengban Mapugi leibak adu naksillakle! Nakhoina paptagi pukning hongduna Aphaba Paoda thajou!”
16 As Jesus was going along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net in the Sea, for they were fishermen.
Adudagi Ibungona Galilee-gi pat mapanda asum chatlingeida, in hunduna nga phariba Simon amadi mahakki manao Andrew-bu ure.
17 “Come and follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will set you to fish for men.”
Amasung Ibungona makhoida hairak-i, “Eigi itung illu, eina nakhoibu mi phabasing oihan-gani.”
18 They left their nets at once, and followed him.
Khudak adumaktada makhoina makhoigi insingdu thanamlaga Ibungogi tung injare.
19 Going on a little further, he saw James, Zebediah’s son, and his brother John, who also were in their boat mending the nets.
Ibungona mapham adudagi khara chatlaga, Zebedee-gi machanupa Jacob amadi mahakki manao John-bu ure. Makhoina hinungda makhoigi insing semjin sajinduna leirammi.
20 Jesus at once called them, and they left their father Zebediah in the boat with the crew, and went after him.
Jisuna makhoibu hek ubaga, makhoibu koure; maduda makhoina makhoigi mapa Zebedee-bu anekpa sinmisingga loinana hinungda thanamlaga Jisugi tung injare.
21 And they walked into Capernaum. On the next Sabbath Jesus went into the Synagogue and began to teach.
Adudagi Jisu amadi mahakki tung inbasingna Capernaum saharda laklammi, aduga potthaba numitta Ibungona synagogue-ta changduna tambiba hourammi.
22 The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught them like one who had authority, and not like the Teachers of the Law.
Ibungogi tambiba matambi aduda makhoi ngakle, maramdi Ibungona Wayel Yathanggi Ojasinggumna nattaduna, matik leiba mi amagum tambirammi.
23 Now there was in their Synagogue at the time a man under the power of a foul spirit, who called out:
Adudagi ikhang khang-houdana phattaba thawai changba mi ama synagogue aduda changlaklaga khonjel houna laoraduna hairak-i,
24 “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!”
“He Nazareth-ki Jisu, nangna eikhoida kari touba pambage? Nahak eikhoibu mang-hannaba mapham asida laklibra? Nahak kanano haiba ei khang-i, nahakti Mapu Ibungona tharakpa Asengba Mahak aduni.”
25 But Jesus rebuked the spirit: “Be silent! Come out from him.”
Maduda Jisuna phattaba thawai aduda yathang piraduna hairak-i, “Tuminna leiyu, aduga mangondagi thokkhro!”
26 The foul spirit threw the man into a fit, and with a loud cry came out from him.
Adudagi phattaba thawai aduna nupa adubu ot-neina nik-laduna, ahouba khonjelda laoramlaga nupa adudagi thokkhre.
27 And they were all so amazed that they kept asking: “What is this? Strange teaching indeed! He gives his commands with authority even to the foul spirits, and they obey him!”
Maduda makhoi pumnamak ngakladuna makhoi masel amaga amaga hangnaduna hairak-i, “Touribasi karino? Masibu karamba makhalgi anouba tambibano? Mahakna phattaba thawaisingda phaoba yathang pinaba matik lei aduga makhoina mahakki yathang illi!”
28 And the fame of Jesus spread at once in all directions, through the whole neighbourhood of Galilee.
Khudak adudagi Jisugi paona thunamak Galilee-gi mapham sinba thungkhre.
29 As soon as they had come out from the Synagogue, they went, with James and John, into the house of Simon and Andrew.
Jisu amadi mahakki tung-inbasingna synagogue adudagi hek thorakpaga, Jacob amasung John-ga loinana Simon amadi Andrew-gi yumda chatlammi.
30 Now Simon’s mother-in-law was lying ill with fever, and they at once told Jesus about her.

31 Jesus went up to her and, grasping her hand, raised her up; the fever left her, and she began to wait upon them.

32 In the evening, after sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who were ill or possessed by demons;

33 and the whole city was gathered round the door.
Amasung sahar adugi mi pumnamak yum adugi mangda tillare.
34 Jesus cured many who were ill with various diseases, and drove out many demons, and would not permit them to speak, because they knew him to be the Christ.
Aduga Ibungona mi kaya amabu makhal makha kayagi lainasingdagi phahanbire amasung lai phattaba kaya amabusu tanthokle. Amasung Ibungona lai phattabasingdu wa amata ngang-hallamde maramdi makhoina Ibungobu kanano haiba khanglammi.
35 In the morning, long before daylight, Jesus rose and went out, and, going to a lonely spot, there began to pray.
Ayuk yamna ngallingei, mamlingei matamda, Jisuna hougattuna yum adudagi thoraklaga achikpa mapham amada chattuna Mapu Ibungoda haijarammi.
36 But Simon and his companions hastened after him;

37 and, when they found him, they exclaimed: “Every one is looking for you!”
Aduga makhoina Ibungobu phanglabada, makhoina Ibungoda hairak-i, “Mi pumnamakna Ibungo nahakpu thiri.”
38 But Jesus said to them: “Let us go somewhere else, into the country towns near, that I may make my proclamation in them also; for that was why I came.”
Maduda Jisuna khumlak-i, “Eikhoina manak nakpa atei khulsingdasu chatkadabani. Eihakna makhoidasu pao sandokpa tai, maramdi ei madugidamak lakpani.”
39 And he went about making his proclamation in their Synagogues all through Galilee, and driving out the demons.
Maram aduna Ibungona Galilee-gi mapham pumnamakta chattuna, synagogue-singda pao sandoklammi aduga lai phattabasingbu tanthoklammi.
40 One day a leper came to Jesus and, falling on his knees, begged him for help. “If only you are willing,” he said, “you are able to make me clean.”
Yamna kiningai oiba unsagi lainana naba mi amana Jisuda laktuna khuru khudak kullaga tengbangbinaba haijarak-i, “Ibungona yabirabadi, eibu Ibungona seng-hanbiba ngammi.”
41 Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying as he did so: “I am willing; become clean.”
Maduda Jisuna nungsiba pokladuna makhut tingthoklaga mahakpu sokpiraduna hairak-i, “Eina yare, nahak sengjaro!”
42 Instantly the leprosy left the man, and he became clean;
Khudak aduda mangondagi laina adu mangkhre aduga mahak sengjare.
43 and then Jesus, after sternly warning him, immediately sent him away, and said to him:
Adudagi Jisuna nupa aduda hairak-i, “Yeng-u, masi mi kana amatada haidokkanu; adubu nahakna chattuna purohitta yeng-hallu. Aduga mipum khudingmakna nahak naba phare haiba khangnanaba Moses-na katlu hairamba potlamsing adu katcharu.” Asumna akanba yathang asi piraga khudak aduda Jisuna mahakpu thakhre.
44 “Be careful not to say anything to any one; but go and show yourself to the Priest, and make the offerings for your cleansing directed by Moses, as evidence of your cure.”
45 The man, however, went away, and began to speak about it publicly, and to spread the story so widely, that Jesus could no longer go openly into a town, but stayed outside in lonely places; and people came to him from every direction.
Adubu mahakna chatkhraga pao adu mapham khudingmakta sandokpa houre. Aduga madugi mahei oina, Jisuna phongna saharda changba ngamdre. Adudagi Ibungona mi tadaba achikpa maphamsingda leirammi, adumakpu mapham khudingdagi misingna Ibungogi manakta adumak laklammi.
