Luke 20
1 On one of these days, when Jesus was teaching the people in the Temple Courts and telling the Good News, the Chief Priests and the Teachers of the Law, joined by the Councillors, confronted him,
Usa niana ka adlaw, samtang si Jesus nagpanudlo sa mga tawo sulod sa templo ug nagwali sa Maayong Balita, ang mga sacerdote nga punoan ug mga escriba kauban sa mga anciano miduol
2 and addressing him, said: “Tell us what authority you have to do these things. Who is it that has given you this authority?”
ug miingon kaniya, "Tug-ani kami, pinaagi sa unsang kagahum gibuhat mo kining mga butanga, o kinsa ang naghatag kanimo niining maong kagahum."
3 “I, too,” said Jesus in reply, “will ask you one question. Give me an answer to it.
Kanila mitubag siya nga nag-ingon, "Aduna usab akoy ipangu-tana kaninyo; karon tug-ani ako,
4 It is about John’s baptism — was it of divine or of human origin?”
Ang pamautismo ni Juan, gikan ba kadto sa langit o gikan ba sa mga tawo?"
5 But they began arguing together: “If we say ‘divine,’ he will say ‘Why did not you believe him?’
Ug ilang gitulotimbang kini diha sa ilang kaugalingon nga nanag-ingon, "Kon moingon kita, `Gikan sa langit,' siya moingon kanato, `Nganong wala man lagi ninyo toohi siya?'
6 But, if we say ‘human,’ the people will all stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a Prophet.”
Ug kon moingon kita, `Gikan sa mga tawo,' batoon kita sa tanang mga tawo, kay nagatoo man sila nga si Juan profeta."
7 So they answered that they did not know its origin.
Ug sila mitubag nga wala kono sila masayud kon diin kadto gikan.
8 “Then I,” said Jesus, “refuse to tell you what authority I have to do these things.”
Ug si Jesus miingon kanila, "Dili ko usab kamo tug-anan pinaagi sa unsang kagahum gibuhat ko kining mga butanga."
9 But Jesus began to tell the people this parable — “A man once planted a vineyard, and then let it out to tenants, and went abroad for a long while.
Unya misugod siya sa pagsugilon sa mga tawo niining sambingaya: "Dihay usa ka tawo nga nagtanum ug parrasan, ug kini iyang gipasaopan sa mga tawo, ug unya milangyaw siya ngadto sa laing dapit sulod sa hataas nga panahon.
10 At the proper time he sent a servant to the tenants, that they should give him a share of the produce of the vineyard. The tenants, however, beat him and sent him away empty-handed.
Ug sa pag-abut na sa panahon sa tingpopo, iyang gipaadto ang usa ka ulipon ngadto sa mga saop aron siya maoy ilang hatagan ug bahin sa mga bunga parrasan; apan gibunalan siya sa mga saop ug ilang gipapauli nga walay dala.
11 The owner afterwards sent another servant; but the tenants beat and insulted this man too, and sent him away empty-handed.
Ug unya iyang gipaadto ang lain na usab nga ulipon; apan kini siya usab ilang gibunalan ug gipakaulawan, ug ilang gipapauli nga walay dala.
12 He sent a third; but they wounded this man also, and threw him outside.
Ug iya pang gipaadto ang ikatulo; apan kini siya ilang gisamaran ug giabog ngadto sa gawas.
13 ‘What shall I do?’ said the owner of the vineyard. ‘I will send my son, who is very dear to me. Perhaps they will respect him.’
Unya ang tag-iya sa parrasan miingon, `Unsa may buhaton ko? A, paadtoon ko ang akong pinalanggang anak; tingalig ilang tahuron siya.'
14 But, on seeing him, the tenants consulted with one another. ‘Here is the heir!’ they said. ‘Let us kill him, and then the inheritance will become ours.’
Apan sa ilang pagkakita kaniya, ang mga saop nasig-ingon ang usa sa usa, `Kini mao ang manununod; patyon ta siya aron maato na ang kabilin.
15 So they threw him outside the vineyard and killed him. Now what will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
Ug ilang gilabog siya ngadto sa gawas sa parrasan ug ilang gipatay. Nan, unsa may buhaton kanila sa tag-iya sa parrasan.
16 He will come and put those tenants to death, and will let the vineyard to others.” “Heaven forbid!” they exclaimed when they heard it.
"Iyang adtoon ug pamatyon ang maong mga saop, ug ang parrasan iyang ihatag ngadto sa uban." Sa pagkadungog nila niini, sila miingon, "Palayo kana!"
17 But Jesus looked at them and said: “What then is the meaning of this passage? — ‘The very stone which the builders despised has now itself become the corner-stone.’
"Apan gitutokan sila niya nga nag-ingon, " Nan, unsa man lang diay kining nahisulat: `Ang maong bato nga sa mga magtu-tukod gisalikway nahimong ulohang bato sa pamag-ang'?
18 Every one who falls on that stone will be dashed to pieces, while any one on whom it falls — it will scatter him as dust.”
Ang tanan nga mahulog sa ibabaw niining batoha, mawataswatas; apan bisan kinsa nga mapusdakan niini, mapulpog siya."
19 After this the Teachers of the Law and the Chief Priest were eager to lay hands on Jesus then and there, but they were afraid of the people; for they saw that it was at them that he had aimed this parable.
Ug ang mga escriba ug ang mga sacerdote nga punoan misulay sa pagdakop kang Jesus niadtong tungora, apan nahadlok sila sa katawhan, kay nasabut man ugod nila nga sila mao ang gitumong niya sa iyang pagsugilon sa maong sambingay.
20 Having watched their opportunity, they afterwards sent some spies, who pretended to be good men, to catch Jesus in the course of conversation, and so enable them to give him up to the Governor’s jurisdiction and authority.
Ug ilang gibantayan siya, ug gipaadtoan nilag mga maniniid nga nanagpakaligdong sa ilang pagkatawo, aron unta ilang mabitik siya pinaagi sa iyang isulti, aron ilang ikatugyan siya ngadto sa kagamhanan ug sa pagbulot-an gobernador.
21 These men asked Jesus a question. They said: “Teacher, we know that you are right in what you say and teach, and that you do not take any account of a man’s position, but teach the Way of God honestly;
"Ug siya gipangutana nila nga nanag-ingon, " Magtutudlo, kami nasayud nga ikaw nagasulti ug nagapanudlo sa matarung, ug nga ikaw walay pinalabi, hinonoa sa pagkatinuod nagatudlo sa dalan sa Dios.
22 are we right in paying tribute to the Emperor or not?”
"Uyon ba sa balaod ang pagbayad namog buhis kang Cesar, o dili ba?"
23 Seeing through their deceitfulness, Jesus said to them:
Apan siya nakasabut sa ilang lipatlipat, ug miingon kanila,
24 “Show me a florin. Whose head and title are on it?”
"Paki-tai akog kuwarta. Kang kinsa man kining dagway ug ang nahisulat niini?" Sila mitubag, "Kang Cesar."
25 “The Emperor’s,” they said; and Jesus replied: “Well then, pay to the Emperor what belongs to the Emperor, and to God what belongs to God.”
Siya miingon kanila, "Nan, bayri ninyo si Cesar sa mga butang nga iya ni Cesar, ug ang Dios sa mga butang nga iya sa Dios."
26 They could not lay hold of this answer before the people; and, in their wonder at his reply, they held their tongues.
Ug sa atubangan sa katawhan wala sila makahimo sa pagbitik kaniya pinaagi sa iyang gipamulong; ug sa kahibulong nila sa iyang tubag, sila wala nay lain pang gikasulti.
27 Presently there came up some Sadducees, who maintain that there is no resurrection. Their question was this —
Unya giadto siyag mga Saduceo, mga tawo nga nanag-ingon nga walay pagkabanhaw,
28 “Teacher, Moses laid down for us in his writings that — ‘Should a man’s married brother die, and should he be childless, the man should take the widow as his wife, and raise up a family for his brother.’
ug siya ilang gipangutana nga nanag-ingon, "Magtutudlo, si Moises nagsulat alang kanato nga kon ang usa ka lalaki kamatyan sa iyang igsoon nga adunay asawa apan walay mga anak, ang maong lalaki kinahanglan mangasawa sa balo niini ug magpaliwat siyag mga anak alang sa iyang igsoon.
29 Well, there were once seven brothers; of whom the eldest, after taking a wife, died childless.
Karon dihay pito ka mga magsoon nga lalaki. Ang kamagulangan nangasawa ug unya namatay nga walay mga anak;
30 The second and third brothers both took her as their wife;
ug ang ikaduha
31 and so, too, did all seven — dying without children.
ug unya ang ikatulo nangasawa kaniya, ug maingon man silang tanan nga pito namatay nga wala magbilin ug mga anak.
32 The woman herself was the last to die.
Ug unya ang babaye usab mamatay.
33 About the woman, then — at the resurrection, whose wife is she to be, all seven brothers having had her as their wife?”
Sa pagkabanhaw, ni kinsa man maasawa ang babaye? Kay silang pito nakaasawa man kaniya."
Ug si Jesus miingon kanila, "Ang mga anak niining kapanahonan karon nagapangasawa ug nagapamana; (aiōn g165)
35 but, for those who are thought worthy to attain to that other world and the resurrection from the dead, there is no marrying or being married, (aiōn g165)
apan ang mga gipanag-isip nga takus sa pagpakaabut niadtong maong kapanahonan unya ug sa pagkabanhaw gikan sa mga patay, dili na sila magapangasawa o magapamana, (aiōn g165)
36 nor indeed can they die again, for they are like angels and, having shared in the resurrection, they are God’s Sons.
kay sila dili na man mamatay sanglit kasama na man unya sila sa mga manolunda, ug mga anak man sila sa Dios, ingon nga mga anak sa pagkabanhaw.
37 As to the fact that the dead rise, even Moses indicated that, in the passage about the Bush, when he calls the Lord — ‘The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
Ug nga pagabanhawon ang mga nangamatay, bisan gani si Moises nagpadayag, diha sa asoy mahitungod sa kahoyng talungon, diin ang Ginoo iyang gitawag nga mao ang Dios ni Abraham ug ang Dios ni Isaac ug ang Dios ni Jacob.
38 Now he is not God of dead men, but of living. For in his sight all are alive.”
Siya dili Dios sa mga patay, kondili sa mga buhi; kay alang kaniya ang tanang tawo nagakinabuhi."
39 “Well said, Teacher!” exclaimed some of the Teachers of the Law,
Ug ang pipila sa mga escriba mitubag, "Magtutudlo, maayo ang imong pagkasulti."
40 for they did not venture to question him any further.
Kay wala na man ugod silay gipangahas pa sa pagpangutana kaniya.
41 But Jesus said to them: “How is it that people say that the Christ is to be David’s son?
Apan siya miingon kanila, "Unsaon ba nila sa pagpakaingon nga si Cristo anak ni David?
42 For David, in the Book of Psalms, says himself — ‘The Lord said to my lord: “Sit at my right hand,
Kay si David na gayud mao ang nagasulti diha sa Basahon sa mga Salmos, nga nagaingon: `Ang Ginoo miingon sa akong Ginoo: Lumingkod ka sa akong too,
43 until I put thy enemies as a stool for thy feet.”’
hangtud ang imong mga kaaway mahimo ko na nga tumbanan sa imong mga tiil.'
44 David, then, calls him ‘lord,’ so how is he David’s son?”
Bisan si David nagatawag diay kaniya nga Ginoo; busa unsaon man niya pagkahimong anak ni David?"
45 While all the people were listening, Jesus said to the disciples:
Ug sa sinultihan nga madungog sa tanang tawo, siya miingon sa iyang mga tinun-an,
46 “Be on your guard against the Teachers of the Law, who delight to walk about in long robes, and like to be greeted in the streets with respect, and to have the best seats in the Synagogues, and places of honour at dinner.
"Likayi baya ninyo ang mga escriba nga mahigugmaon sa paglakawlakaw nga managsul-ob ug hatag-as nga mga bisti, ug sa mga pagyukbo kanila sa katahuran diha sa mga tiyanggihan, ug sa labing mga maayong lingkoranan sulod sa mga sinagoga ug sa mga halangdong lingkoranan diha sa mga kombira,
47 These are the men who rob widows of their houses, and make a pretence of saying long prayers. Their sentence will be all the heavier.”
sila nga nagasubad sa katigayonan sa mga babayeng balo, ug aron sa pagtabontabon niini nagahimo sila sa hatag-as nga mga pangadye. Mahiaguman ra nila ang labi pa ka mabug-at nga hukom sa silot."
