< Jude 1 >
1 To those who, having received the Call, have been loved by God the Father and protected by Jesus Christ, From Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and the brother of James.
Jesuh Khrih kah sal, James kah a mana Judah loh Pa Pathen lamloh a lungnah tih Jesuh Khrih ah khoem tangtae la a khue rhoek taengah kan yaak sak.
2 May mercy, peace, and love be yours in ever-increasing measure.
Rhennah, ngaimongnah neh lungnah tah nangmih taegah ping saeh.
3 Dear friends, while I was making every effort to write to you about our common Salvation, I felt that I must write to you at once to urge you to fight in defence of the Faith that has once for all been entrusted to the keeping of Christ’s People.
Thintlo rhoek, mamih kah khangnah pakhat te nangmih taengah daek ham thahluenah muep om. Hlangcim rhoek taengah a paek tangnah te rhenten tungaep ham neh hloep ham te nangmih taengah kan daek he a kueknah la ka hmuh.
4 For there have crept in among you certain godless people, whose sentence has long since been pronounced, and who make the mercy of God an excuse for profligacy, and disown our only lord and master, Jesus Christ.
Hlang a ngen tah hawn uh coeng. Te rhoek tah laitloeknah ham ana daek dingrhae coeng he. Baltalh rhoek loh mamih Pathen kah lungvatnah te omthenbawnnah la a thovael uh tih mamih kah a boeikung neh boeipa Jesuh Khrih paengrhaeng te a hnawt uh.
5 Now I want to remind you — but you already know it all — that, though the Lord delivered the People from Egypt, yet he afterwards destroyed those who refused to believe in him;
Nangmih thoelh sak ka cai te boeih na ming uh coeng. Boeipa loh a pilnam te Egypt kho lamkah rhenten a hlawt tih aka tangnah pawt rhoek te a pabae ah a phae te ta.
6 and that even those angels, who did not keep to their appointed spheres, but left their proper homes, have been kept by him for the judgment of the Great Day in everlasting chains and black darkness. (aïdios )
Te phoeiah a hmakhuen te a ngaithuen uh pawt tih a imlo aka toeng puencawn rhoek te laitloeknah khohnin puei ham a hmuepnah khuiah hloong neh dungyan a khoh coeng. (aïdios )
7 Like Sodom and Gomorrah and the towns near them, which gave themselves up to fornication, and fell into unnatural vice, these angels now stand out as a warning, undergoing, as they are, the punishment of aeonian fire. (aiōnios )
Sodom neh Gomorrah neh a taengvai khopuei rhoek bangla te rhoek kah omih te phek om. Cukhalh uh tih pumsa hnukah a hloeh la aka cet tah dungyan dantatnah hmai a yook te cueihlohnah lo a tawn coeng. (aiōnios )
8 Yet in the very same way these men, too, cherishing vain dreams, pollute our human nature, reject control, and malign the Mighty.
Amih vanbangla aka man long khaw pumsa la boi uh. Te dongah taemrhainah te a hnawt uh tih thangpomnah te a soehsal uh.
9 Yet even Michael, the Archangel, when, in his dispute with the Devil, he was arguing about the body of Moses, did not venture to charge him with maligning, but said merely ‘The Lord rebuke you!’
Tedae puencawn boei Maikhael loh Moses kah rhok kawng ah rhaithae te a boelhkhoeh tih a oelh. Te vaengah soehsalnah a hong tih laitloeknah te a ngaingaih pawt dongah, “Boeipa loh nang n'toel saeh,” a ti nah.
10 But these men malign whatever they do not understand; while they use such things as they know by instinct (like the animals that have no reason) for their own corruption.
Tedae amih loh a soehsal uh te rhep a ming uh moenih. A omnoek nen te suva bangla khohmang rhaita la a hmat uh tih te nen te poeih uh.
11 Alas for them! They walk in the steps of Cain; led astray by Balaam’s love of gain, they plunge into sin, and meet their ruin through rebellion like that of Korah.
Anunae amih aih, Kain kah longpuei ah pongpa uh. Balaam kah tholhhiknah thapang te a suntlak thil uh tih Korah kah pakainah dongah poci uh.
12 These are the men who are blots upon your ‘Love-feasts,’ when they feast together and provide without scruple for themselves alone. They are clouds without rain, driven before the winds; they are leafless trees without a vestige of fruit, dead through and through, torn up by the roots;
Na lungnah rhoek te tah thaelngong ah om tih loloh cahnoo uh. Amamih dawndah uh thae dae khohli loh khomai tuihang bangla a khuen. Cangpa thingkung aka hul tah a phuk tih hnavoei la duek.
13 they are wild sea waves, foaming with their own shame; they are ‘wandering stars,’ for which the blackest darkness has been reserved for ever. (aiōn )
Tuitunli kah tuiphu aka lueng loh amih kah yahkoi te a hom sak. Aisi hlangpoeng rhoek loh amih te yinnah khuikah a hmuepnah ah kumhal duela a khoem. (aiōn )
14 To these men, as to others, Enoch, the seventh in descent from Adam, declared — ‘See! the Lord has come with his hosts of holy ones around him,
Te dongah Adam lamloh a parhih kah Enok long khaw amih taengah a phong tih, “Boeipa tah amah kah hlangcim rhoek a thawngsang neh ha pawk coeng ke.
15 to execute judgment upon all men, and to convict all godless people of all their godless acts, which in their ungodliness they have committed, and of all the harsh words which they have spoken against him, godless sinners that they are!’
16 These men are always murmuring, and complaining of their lot; they follow where their passions lead them; they have arrogant words upon their lips; and they flatter men for the sake of what they can get from them.
Amih tah kohuetkung neh muenyang la om uh. Amamih kah hoehhamnah bangla cet uh. Amih kah ka te khaw a puehkan la cal. Amah kah hoeikhangnah ham maelhmai a koeh uh.
17 But do you, dear friends, recall what was foretold by the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Tedae thintlo nangmih tah, mamih Boeipa Jesuh Khrih kah caeltueih rhoek lamloh a thui ollung te poek uh.
18 how they used to say to you — ‘As time draws to an end, there will be scoffers, who will be led by their godless passions.’
Nangmih taengah, “Khohnin hnukkhueng ah tamdaengkung rhoek om ni, amih te hoehhamnah ah hlangrhong la pongpa uh,” a ti uh.
19 These are the people — animal and unspiritual — who cause divisions.
Amih tah aka paekboe sak rhoek ni. A coengnah loh mueihla a khueh uh moenih.
20 But do you, dear friends, build up your characters on the foundation of your most holy Faith, pray under the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
Tedae thintlo rhoek, nangmih loh namamih kah tangnah cim dongah namamih te tlingtlawn uh lamtah Mueihla Cim ah thangthui uh.
21 and keep within the love of God, while waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, to bring you to Immortal Life. (aiōnios )
Pathen kah lungnah dongah namamih te tuem uh. Dungyan hingnah ham mamih Boeipa Jesuh Khrih kah rhennah te lamtawn uh. (aiōnios )
22 To some show pity, because they are in doubt. ‘Drag them out of the fire,’ and save them.
Aka boelhkhoeh te khaw rhen uh mai.
23 To others show pity, but with caution, hating the very clothing polluted by their touch.
Te dongah amih a poelyoe rhoek te hmai khui lamloh khang uh. A tloe rhoek te rhihnah nen khaw rhen uh. Pumsa kah a nook angki te khaw tuei uh.
24 To him who is able to guard you from falling, and to bring you into his glorious presence, blameless and rejoicing —
Te long te na paicak ham n'tuem tih a thangpomnah hmaiah kohoenah neh a cuemthuek la m'pai sak thai coeng.
25 to the one God, our Saviour, be ascribed, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, glory, majesty, power, and dominion, as it was before time began, is now, and shall be for all time to come. Amen. (aiōn )
Mamih khangkung Pathen bueng te mamih kah Boeipa Jesuh Khrih rhangneh thangpomnah, Boeilennah, thaomnah neh saithainah loh khosuen daengrhae hlan neh tahae lamkah kumhal boeih ah om saeh. Amen. (aiōn )
