John 3
1 Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, who was a leading man among the Jews.
୧ପାରୁସିମନର୍ ବିତ୍ରେଅନି ନିକଦିମ ନାଉଁର୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ ରଇଲା । ସେ ଜିଉଦି ମନର୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ନେତା ।
2 This man came to Jesus by night, and said to him: “Rabbi, we know that you are a Teacher come from God; for no one could give such signs as you are giving, unless God were with him.”
୨ସେ ଦିନେକ୍ ରାତିଆ ଜିସୁର୍ ଲଗେ ଆସି କଇଲା, “ଏ ଗୁରୁ ଆମେ ଜାନୁ, ତମେ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ପାଟାଇରଇବା ଗଟେକ୍ ଗୁରୁ । କାଇକେ ବଇଲେ ଜଦି ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ନ ରଇଲେ, ତମେ ଜନ୍ ସବୁ କାବାଅଇଜିବା କାମ୍ମନ୍ କଲାସ୍ନି, ସେତ୍କି କାମ୍ମନ୍ କେ ମିସା କରିନାପାରତ୍ ।”
3 “In truth I tell you,” exclaimed Jesus, “unless a man is reborn, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
୩ଜିସୁ ତାକେ କଇଲା, “ମୁଇ ତକେ ସତ୍ କାତା କଇଲିନି, ଆରିତରେକ୍ ଜନମ୍ ନ ଅଇଲେ କେ ମିସା ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ରାଇଜ୍ ଦେକି ନାପାରତ୍ ।”
4 “How can a man,” asked Nicodemus, “be born when he is old? Can he be born a second time?”
୪ନିକଦିମ ତାକେ ପାଚାର୍ଲା, “ଡକ୍ରା ଅଇଲା ଲକ୍ କେନ୍ତି ଆରି ତରେକ୍ ଜନମ୍ ଅଇସି? ସେ ଆରି ତରେକ୍ ମାଆର୍ ପେଟ୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଜାଇକରି ଜନମ୍ ଅଇସି କି? ନାଇ ଅଇ ନଏଁ ।”
5 “In truth I tell you,” answered Jesus, “unless a man owes his birth to Water and Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.
୫ଜିସୁ ତାକେ କଇଲା, “ମୁଇ ତକେ ସତ୍କାତା କଇଲିନି, ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ ପାନି ଆରି ଆତ୍ମାଇଅନି ଜନମ୍ ନ ଅଇଲେ, ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ରାଇଜେ ଜାଇ ନାପାରେ ।
6 All that owes its birth to human nature is human, and all that owes its birth to the Spirit is spiritual.
୬ଗଟେକ୍ ନର୍ ଲକ୍ ତାର୍ ନର୍ ମାଆ ବାବାର୍ତେଇଅନି ଜନମ୍ ଅଇସି । ମାତର୍ ସୁକଲ୍ ଆତ୍ମା ତାର୍ ଆତ୍ମାଇ ନୁଆ ଜିବନ୍ ଦେଇସି ।
7 Do not wonder at my telling you that you all need to be reborn.
୭ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ମୁଇ ତକେ ଆରିତରେକ୍ ଜନମ୍ ଅଇବାକେ ଅଇସି ବଲି କଇବା ବିସଇ ସୁନି କାବାଅଇଜାଆ ନାଇ ।
8 The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound of it, but you do not know whence it comes, or where it goes; it is the same with every one that owes his birth to the Spirit.”
୮ପବନ୍ ଜନ୍ ବାଟେ ଜିବାକେ ମନ୍ କର୍ସି ସେ ବାଟେସେ ଜାଇସି, ଆରି ତମେ ତାର୍ ସବଦ୍ ସୁନ୍ସା । ମାତର୍ ସେଟା କନ୍ତିଅନି ଆଇସି ଆରି କନ୍ ବାଟେ ଜାଇସି ସେଟା ନାଜାନାସ୍ । ଆତ୍ମାଇ ଜନମ୍ ଅଇଲା ସବୁ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ମିସା ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ।”
9 “How can that be?” asked Nicodemus.
୯ନିକଦିମ ଜିସୁକେ ପାଚାର୍ଲା, “ଏବେ ତୁଇ କଇବା କାତା କେନ୍ତି ଅଇପାର୍ସି?”
10 “What! You a teacher of Israel,” exclaimed Jesus, “and yet do not understand this!
୧୦ଜିସୁ ତାକେ କଇଲା, “ତୁଇ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ବଡ୍ ଗୁରୁ ଅଇକରି ମିସା କେନ୍ତି ଏ ସବୁ କାତା ବୁଜି ନାପାର୍ଲୁସ୍ନି?
11 In truth I tell you that we speak of what we know, and state what we have seen; and yet you do not accept our statements.
୧୧ମୁଇ ତକେ ସତ୍କାତା କଇଲିନି, ଆମେ ଜନ୍ଟା ଜାନୁ ସେଟା କଇଦେବୁ, ଜନ୍ଟା ଦେକିରଇବୁ ସେଟା ସାକି ଦେବୁ, ଅଇଲେ ମିସା ତୁଇ କାଇକେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କରୁସ୍ନାଇ?
12 If, when I tell you earthly things, you do not believe me, how will you believe me when I tell you of heavenly things?
୧୨ମୁଇ ତକେ ଏ ଦୁନିଆର୍ ବିସଇ କଇବାବେଲେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କରୁସ୍ ନାଇ । ଆରି ସରଗର୍ ବିସଇ କଇବି ବଇଲେ କେନ୍ତି ମକେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ସୁ?
13 No one has ascended to Heaven, except him who descended from Heaven — the Son of Man himself.
୧୩ସର୍ଗେଅନି ଉତ୍ରି ଆଇଲା ନର୍ପିଲା ମୁଇ, ମକେ ଚାଡିକରି ଆରି କେ ମିସା ସର୍ଗେ ଜାଅତ୍ ନାଇତା ।”
14 And, as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
୧୪“ଆରି ମସା କେନ୍ତି ମରୁବାଲି ବୁଏଁ ପିତଲ୍ ସାଁପ୍କେ ଡେଲି ଉପ୍ରେ ଟେକି ରଇଲା, ସମାନ୍ ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ତେଇଅନି ଆଇଲା ନର୍ପିଲା ମକେ ମିସା, ଗଟେକ୍ ଦିନେ ଉପ୍ରେ ଟେକ୍ବାଇ ।
୧୫ତେବେ, ତାକେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ବା ସବୁ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ନ ସାର୍ବା ଜିବନ୍ ପାଇବାଇ । (aiōnios g166)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that every one who believes in him may not be lost, but have Immortal Life. (aiōnios g166)
୧୬ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଏ ଦୁନିଆର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଏତେକ୍ ଆଲାଦ୍ କଲାଜେ, ତାର୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ବଲି ପିଲାକେ ସର୍ପିଦେଲା । ଜେ ମିସା ତାକେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ବାଇ ବଇଲେ, ସେମନ୍ ନସ୍ଟ ନ ଅଇକରି, ନ ସାର୍ବା ଜିବନ୍ ମିଲାଇବାଇ । (aiōnios g166)
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.
୧୭ପର୍ମେସର୍ ତାର୍ ପିଲାକେ ଏ ଦୁନିଆଇ ବିଚାର୍ କର୍ବାକେ ପାଟାଏନାଇ, ମାତର୍ ତାର୍ ଲାଗି ଦୁନିଆ ରକିଆ ପାଅ ବଲି ପାଟାଇ ଆଚେ ।
18 He who believes in him escapes condemnation, while he who does not believe in him is already condemned, because he has not believed in the only Son of God.
୧୮କେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ପିଲାକେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କଲାନି ତାର୍ ବିଚାର୍ନା ନଏଁଁ । ମାତର୍ ଜେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ପିଲାକେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କରେନାଇ ତାର୍ ବିଚାର୍ନା ଅଇସାର୍ଲାବେ । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ସେ ଗଟେକ୍ ବଲି ପିଲାକେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କରେନାଇ ।
19 The ground of his condemnation is this, that though the Light has come into the world, men preferred the darkness to the Light, because their actions were wicked.
୧୯ଆରି ସେ ବିଚାର୍ନା ଏନ୍ତି ଅଇସି, ସର୍ଗେ ଅନି ଉଜଲ୍ ଏ ଦୁନିଆଇ ଆସିରଇଲା । ମାତର୍ ଏ ଦୁନିଆର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ସେ ଉଜଲେଅନି ଆନ୍ଦାର୍କେ ବେସି ମନ୍ କଲାଇ । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ସେମନ୍ କର୍ବା କାମ୍ ସବୁ ବେସି କାରାପ୍ ।
20 For he who lives an evil life hates the light, and will not come to it, for fear that his actions should be exposed;
୨୦ଜନ୍ଲକ୍ମନ୍ କାରାପ୍ କାମ୍ କଲାଇନି ସେମନ୍ ଉଜଲ୍କେ ଗିନ୍ କଲାଇନି । ଆରି ସେ ଉଜଲେ ନ ଆସତ୍ । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ସେମନର୍ ସବୁ କାରାପ୍ କାମ୍ ସେ ଉଜଲେ ଡିସ୍ସି ।
21 but he who acts up to the truth comes to the light, that his actions may be shown to have been done in dependence upon God.
୨୧ମାତର୍ ଜନ୍ଲକ୍ ସତ୍ ଆରି ଟିକ୍ ଇସାବେ କାମ୍ କରି ଚଲାଚଲ୍ତି କଲାନି, ସେ ଉଜଲ୍ ଲଗେ ଆଇସି । ତେବେ, ସେ କର୍ବା କାମ୍ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ମନ୍ କର୍ବା ଇସାବେ ଅଇଲାନି ।”
22 After this, Jesus went with his disciples into the country parts of Judea; and there he stayed with them, and baptized.
୨୨ତାର୍ ପଚେ ଜିସୁ ଆରି ତାର୍ ସିସ୍ମନ୍ ଜିଉଦା ଦେସେ ଗାଲାଇ ଆରି ସେ ଜାଗାଇ ରଇକରି ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଡୁବନ୍ ଦେଲାଇ ।
23 John, also, was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there were many streams there; and people were constantly coming and being baptized.
୨୩ସେ ବେଲାଇ ଜଅନ୍ ମିସା ସାଲମ୍ ଗଡ୍ଲଗେ ଏନନ୍ ନାଉଁର୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ଗାଏଁ ଡୁବନ୍ ଦେଇତେ ରଇଲା । କାଇକେ ବଇଲେ ସେ ଜାଗାଇ ବେସି ପାନି ରଇଲା । ଆରି ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଆସିକରି ଡୁବନ୍ ନେଇତେ ରଇଲାଇ ।
24 (For John had not yet been imprisoned).
୨୪ସେତ୍କି ଦିନ୍ ଜାକ ଜଅନ୍ ବନ୍ଦି ନ ଅଇରଇଲା ।
25 Now a discussion arose between some of John’s disciples and a Jew on the subject of ‘purification;’
୨୫ସେବେଲା ଗଟେକ୍ ଜିଉଦି ଲକ୍ ଆରି ଜଅନର୍ ସିସ୍ମନ୍ ଅସୁକଲ୍ଅନି ରିତିନିତି ଇସାବେ ସୁକଲ୍ ଅଇବା ବିସଇ ନେଇ ତାକର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଦଦାପେଲା ଅଇତେ ରଇଲାଇ ।
26 and the disciples came to John and said: “Rabbi, the man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan, and to whom you have yourself borne testimony — he, also, is baptizing, and everybody is going to him.”
୨୬ଆରି ଜଅନର୍ ସିସ୍ମନ୍ ତାର୍ ଲଗେ ଆସି କଇଲାଇ, “ଏ ଗୁରୁ, ତମେ ଜର୍ଦନ୍ ଗାଡ୍ ସେପାଟେ କାର୍ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ବେଟ୍ ଅଇରଇଲାସ୍ ଆରି ତାର୍ ବିସଇ ତମେ ସାକି ଦେଇତେରଇଲାସ୍, ସେ ଲକ୍ ଏବେ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଡୁବନ୍ ଦେଲାନି ଆରି ସବୁ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ତାର୍ ଲଗେ ଗାଲାଇନି ।”
27 John’s answer was — “A man can gain nothing but what is given him from Heaven.
୨୭ଜଅନ୍ କଇଲା, “ପର୍ମେସର୍ ନ ଦେଲେ, କେ ମିସା କାଇଟା ନ ପାଅତ୍ ।
28 You are yourselves witnesses that I said ‘I am not the Christ,’ but ‘I have been sent before him as a Messenger.’
୨୮ମୁଇ କଇରଇଲି ପର୍ମେସର୍ ପାଟାଇଲା ମସିଅ ମୁଇ ନଇ ବଲି । ମୁଇ ଅବ୍କା ପାଟାଇରଇବା ଗଟେକ୍ ଦୁତ୍ ପାରା ଅଇ ଆସିଆଚି ।
29 It is the bridegroom who has the bride; but the bridegroom’s friend, who stands by and listens to him, is filled with joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. This joy I have felt to the full.
୨୯ଜେ ବିବା ଅଇସି, ସେ ବର୍ ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡା । ମାତର୍ ବର୍ ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡାର୍ ଲଗେ ବରର୍ ସଙ୍ଗାରି ଟିଆଅଇ ତାର୍ କାତା ସୁନ୍ସି । ସେ ବର୍ ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡାର୍ କାତା ସୁନି, ବେସି ସାର୍ଦା ଅଇସି । ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ମର୍ ସାର୍ଦା ମିସା ପୁରାପୁରୁନ୍ ଅଇଲାଆଚେ ।
30 He must become greater, and I less.”
୩୦ସେ ମଆନ୍ ଅଇତେ ଜାଅ ଆରି ମୁଇ ସାନ୍ ଅଇତେ ଜିବି ।”
31 He who comes from above is above all others; but a child of earth is earthly, and his teaching is earthly, too. He who comes from Heaven is above all others.
୩୧“ଜେ ସର୍ଗେଅନି ଆଇଲା ଆଚେ, ସେ ସବୁ ଲକ୍ମନର୍ତେଇଅନି ମଆନ୍ । ଜେ ଜଗତେ ଅନି ଜନମ୍ ଅଇଆଚେ, ସେ ଜଗତର୍ କାତାସେ କଇସି । ମାତର୍ ଜେ ସର୍ଗେଅନି ଆସିଆଚେ, ସେ ସବୁକଲର୍ତେଇ ଅନି ମଆନ୍ ।
32 He states what he has seen and what he heard, and yet no one accepts his statement.
୩୨ସେ ଜନ୍ଟା ଦେକ୍ଲା ଆଚେ ଆରି ସୁନ୍ଲା ଆଚେ ସେ ବିସଇ ସେ ଜାନାଇଲାନି । ମାତର୍ ସେ କଇରଇବା କାତା କେ ମିସା ନାମତ୍ ନାଇ ।
33 They who did accept his statement attested the fact that God is true.
୩୩ଜେ ତାର୍ କଇରଇବା କାତା ନାମ୍ସି, ସେ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ସତ୍ଟା ବଲି ନାମ୍ସି ।
34 For he whom God sent as his Messenger gives us God’s own teaching, for God does not limit the gift of the Spirit.
୩୪ଜାକେ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ପାଟାଇଲା ଆଚେ, ସେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ କଇସି । କାଇକେ ବଇଲେ ତାକେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଆତ୍ମା ପୁରାପୁରୁନ୍ ଦିଆଅଇଲାଆଚେ ।
35 The Father loves his Son, and has put everything in his hands.
୩୫ବାବା ପିଲାକେ ଆଲାଦ୍ କରି ସବୁ ବିସଇ ତାର୍ ଆତେ ସର୍ପି ଦେଲାଆଚେ ।
36 He who believes in the Son has Immortal Life, while he who rejects the Son will not even see that Life, but remains under ‘God’s displeasure.’ (aiōnios g166)
୩୬ଆରି କେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ପିଲାକେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ସି, ସେ ନ ସାର୍ବା ଜିବନ୍ ପାଇସି । ମାତର୍ ଜେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ପିଲାକେ ନାମେ ନାଇ, ସେ ନ ସାର୍ବା ଜିବନ୍ ନ ପାଏ । ଆରି ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଡଣ୍ଡ୍ ପାଇବାକେ ସେ ରଇସି ।” (aiōnios g166)
