< Hebrews 3 >

1 Therefore, Christian Brothers, you who, all alike, have received the Call from Heaven, fix your attention on Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our Religion.
Ya mere, ụmụnna m dị nsọ, ndị so keta oke nʼọkpụkpọ eluigwe ahụ, ka echiche unu dịgide naanị na Jisọs. Onyeisi ozi na onyeisi nchụaja nke okwukwe anyị.
2 See how faithful he was to the God who appointed him, as Moses was in the whole House of God.
O kwesiri ntụkwasị obi nye onye ahụ họpụtara ya dịka Mosis si bụrụ onye kwesiri ntụkwasị obi nʼije ozi ya nʼụlọ Chineke.
3 He has been deemed worthy of far higher honour than Moses, just as the founder of the House is held in greater regard than the House itself.
Ma Jisọs nwere ugwu na nsọpụrụ karịa Mosis, dịka onye na-ewu ụlọ si enwe ugwu na nsọpụrụ karịa ụlọ o wuru.
4 For every House has its founder, and the founder of the universe is God.
Nʼihi na ụlọ ọbụla nwere onye wuru ya, maọbụ Chineke na-ewu ihe niile.
5 While the faithful service of Moses in the whole House of God was that of a servant, whose duty was to bear testimony to a Message still to come,
Mosis kwesiri ntụkwasị obi dịka odibo nʼụlọ Chineke nʼihe niile, sịkwa otu a gbaa ama banyere ihe ndị a ga-ekwu nʼọdịnihu.
6 the faithfulness of Christ was that of a Son set over the House of God. And we are his House — if only we retain, unshaken to the end, the courage and confidence inspired by our hope.
7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says — ‘If to-day you hear God’s voice,
Ya mere, dị ka Mmụọ Nsọ na-asị, “Ọ bụrụ na unu anụ olu ya taa,
8 harden not your hearts, as when Israel provoked me On the day when they tried my patience in the desert,
unu emela ka obi unu sie ike, dị ka unu mere nʼoge nnupu isi mgbe oge ọnwụnwa nʼime ọzara,
9 Where your ancestors tried my forbearance, And saw my mighty deeds for forty years.
ebe nna nna unu ha nọrọ nwa m ọnwụnwa. Ọ bụ ezie na ha hụrụ akaọrụ m iri afọ anọ ndị a.
10 Therefore I was sorely vexed with that generation, And I said — “Their hearts are always straying; They have never learned my ways”;
Nʼihi nke a, ewere m iwe megide ọgbọ ahụ. Asịrị m, ‘Obi ha na-akpafu akpafu mgbe niile. Ha amatabeghị ụzọ m niile.’
11 While in my wrath I swore — “They shall never enter upon my Rest.”’
Ya mere, aṅụrụ m iyi nʼiwe m, sị, ‘Ha agaghị abanye nʼizuike m ma ọlị.’”
12 Be careful, Brothers, that there is never found in any one of you a wicked and faithless heart, shown by his separating himself from the Living God.
Lezienụ anya, ụmụnna m, ka ajọ omume niile na ekweghị ekwe niile nke obi ghara ịdị nʼime onye ọbụla nʼetiti unu, nke ga-eme ka unu site nʼiso Chineke dị ndụ tụgharịa.
13 Rather encourage one another daily — while there is a ‘To-day’ — to prevent any one among you from being hardened by the deceitfulness of Sin.
Kama, na-agbanụ onwe unu ume kwa ụbọchị niile dịka a kpọrọ ụbọchị ahụ Taa. Ka a hapụ inwekwa onye ọbụla a ga-esite nʼaghụghọ nke mmehie mee ka obi ya sie ike.
14 For we now all share in the Christ, if indeed we retain, unshaken to the end, the confidence that we had at the first.
Anyị bụ ndị anyị na Kraịst ga-eso kekọrịta oke ma ọ bụrụ na anyị ga-ejidesi ya ike bụ ntụkwasị obi ahụ anyị nwere site na mmalite ruo ọgwụgwụ.
15 To use the words of Scripture — ‘If to-day you hear God’s voice, Harden not your hearts, as when Israel provoked me.’
Dị ka e kwuru ya, “Taa, ọ bụrụ na unu anụ olu ya. Unu emela ka obi unu sie ike, dịka unu mere nʼoge nnupu isi.”
16 Who were they who heard God speak and yet provoked him? Were not they all those who left Egypt under the leadership of Moses?
Olee ndị bụ ndị ahụ nụrụ ma nupu isi? Ọ bụ na ọ bụghị ndị niile ahụ Mosis dupụtara site nʼala Ijipt?
17 And with whom was it that God was sorely vexed for forty years? Was not it with those who had sinned, and who fell dead in the desert?
Ọ bụkwa olee ndị ka o wesoro iwe iri afọ anọ? Ọ bụ na ọ bụghị ndị ahụ mehiere. Ndị ahụ ahụ ha dara nʼọzara?
18 And who were they to whom God swore that they should not enter upon his rest, if not those who had proved faithless?
Olee ndị ahụ ọ ṅụụrụ iyi na ha agaghị aba nʼizuike ya? Ọ bụ na ha abụghị ndị ahụ nupuuru ya isi?
19 We see, then, that they failed to enter upon it because of their want of faith.
Ugbu a, anyị maara na ha enweghị ike ịbanye, nʼihi na ha bụ ndị na-ekweghị ekwe.
