< 1 John 1 >
1 It is of what has been in existence from the Beginning, of what we have heard, of what we have seen with our eyes, of what we watched reverently and touched with our hands — it is about the Word who is the Life that we are now writing.
Ak cykca awhkawng ak awm, ningnih ingawm ning zaak uh, mik ing ni toek unawh ni hu uhy, kut ing ni bi uhy - Vawhkaw hqingnaak Awi veni ningnih ing nik kqawn uh.
2 That Life was made visible, and we have seen it, and now bear our testimony to it, and tell you of that Immortal Life, which was with the Father and was made visible to us. (aiōnios )
Hqingnaak ce dang hy; ningnih ing ni hu unawh ning dyih pyi uhy, nangmih a venawh kumqui hqingnaak awi ce kqawn law u nyng, cawhkaw awi cetaw Pa ing anik awm haih ce ningnih a venawh dang hawh hy. (aiōnios )
3 It is of what we have seen and heard that we now tell you, so that you may have communion with us. And our communion is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
kaimih ing ka mi huh ingkaw ka ming zaak ce nangmih ing kaimih ing pawlnengnaak nami taak naak thai aham nangmih a venawh kqawn law patoe nyng. Kaimih a pawlnengnaak taw Khawsa ingkaw a capa Jesu Khrih awh ni.
4 And we are writing all this to you that our joy may be complete.
kaimih a zeelnaak a soepnaak thai aham ve ak ca ve qee law nyng.
5 These, then, are the Tidings that we have heard from him and now tell you — ‘God is Light, and Darkness has no place at all in him.’
Kaimih ing za unyng nangmih a venawh ka mik kqawn awi taw veni: Khawsa taw vangnaak na awm nawh; amah awh thannaak tehca awm am awm hy.
6 If we say that we have communion with him, and yet continue to live in the Darkness, we lie, and are not living the Truth.
Amah ing pawlnengnaak ta hawh nyng ni ti hlai hy, than ak khuiawh ni ceh khing awhtaw, qaai ak kqawn na ni awm unawh awitak ing am ni hqing uhy.
7 But, if our lives are lived in the Light, as God himself is in the Light, we have communion with one another, and the Blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Cehlai vangnaak ak khuiawh ni ceh uh awhtaw, amah taw vangnaak na a awm a dawngawh, ningnih taw pynoet ingkaw pynoet pawlneng naak ak ta thlang na ni awm uhy, amah Capa, Jesu thi ing thawlhnaak boeih khui awhkawng ningnih ce ni sil khqi hawh hy.
8 If we say that there is no sin in us, we are deceiving ourselves, and the Truth has no place in us.
Am thawlh nyng ni ti mantaw, nimah ingkaw nimah nik thai qunaak na ni awm unawh awitak ce ningnih ak khuiawh am awm hy.
9 If we confess our sins, God may be trusted, in his righteousness, to forgive us our sins and purify us from all wickedness.
Thawlhnaak ce nik kqawn awhtaw, anih taw ypawm ing thawlhnaak awh qeenkhaw ning ngai pe kawmsaw amni dyngnaak awhkawng ningnih ce ni ciimcaih sak khqi kaw.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we are making God a liar, and his Message has no place in us.
Am thawlh nyng ni ti mantaw, anih ce qaai ak kqawn na ni sai uawh ningnih a hqingnaak awh ak awi ce am awm hy.
