Zechariah 6
1 I looked up again, and [in the vision] I saw four chariots coming toward me. [They were coming] between two mountains [that were made] of bronze.
Volví a alzar los ojos y miré, y he aquí que cuatro carros salían de entre dos montes; y los montes eran de bronce.
2 The first chariot [was pulled by] red horses, the second chariot [was pulled by] black horses,
En el primer carro había caballos rojos. En el segundo carro había caballos negros.
3 the third chariot [was pulled by] white horses, and the fourth chariot [was pulled by] spotted gray horses. They were all very strong horses.
En el tercer carro había caballos blancos. En el cuarto carro había caballos moteados, todos ellos poderosos.
4 I asked the angel who had been speaking to me, “Sir, what do those chariots mean?”
Entonces pregunté al ángel que hablaba conmigo: “¿Qué son éstos, mi señor?”
5 The angel replied, “They have come from standing in the presence of the Lord who controls/rules the entire earth. They will go across the sky in four directions.
El ángel me respondió: “Estos son los cuatro vientos del cielo, que salen de pie ante el Señor de toda la tierra.
6 The chariot [pulled by] black horses will go north, the [one pulled by] white horses will go west, the one [pulled by] spotted gray horses will go south.”
El de los caballos negros sale hacia el país del norte, y el blanco salió tras ellos, y el moteado salió hacia el país del sur.”
7 When those powerful horses left, their [chariot-drivers] were eager to go throughout the world. [As they were leaving, ] the angel said to them, “Go throughout the world [and see what is happening]!” So that is what they did.
Los fuertes salieron y buscaron ir de un lado a otro de la tierra. Él les dijo: “¡Vayan de un lado a otro de la tierra!” Así que caminaron de un lado a otro de la tierra.
8 Then the angel called to me [and said], “Look/Listen, the [drivers of the] chariots that have gone north will do what the Spirit [of Yahweh wants them to do] there.”
Entonces me llamó y me habló diciendo: “He aquí que los que van hacia el país del norte han calmado mi espíritu en el país del norte”.
9 Then Yahweh gave me [another] message.
La palabra de Yahvé vino a mí, diciendo:
10 He said, “Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah will be bringing some silver and gold from the people who were (exiled in/forced to go to) Babylon. As soon as they arrive, go to the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah.
“Toma de los del cautiverio, de Heldai, de Tobías y de Jedaías; y ven el mismo día, y entra en la casa de Josías hijo de Sofonías, donde han venido de Babilonia.
11 Take [some of that] silver and gold from them and make a crown. Then put it on the head of Jehozadak’s son Joshua, the Supreme Priest.
Sí, tomen plata y oro, hagan coronas y pónganlas sobre la cabeza de Josué, hijo de Josadac, el sumo sacerdote;
12 Tell him that [I], the Commander of the armies of angels, say that the man who is called the Branch will come. He will leave the place where he is now, and he will [supervise those who] build my temple.
y háblenle diciendo: “El Señor de los Ejércitos dice: “¡He aquí el hombre cuyo nombre es Rama! Él crecerá de su lugar; y él construirá el templo de Yahvé.
13 He is the one who [will tell those who] will build my temple [what to do]. He will wear royal clothing and he will sit on his throne and rule. There will also be a priest [sitting] next to his throne, and the two of them will work together harmoniously.
Él construirá el templo de Yahvé. Llevará la gloria, y se sentará y gobernará en su trono. Será sacerdote en su trono. El consejo de paz estará entre ambos.
14 The crown must be [kept] in my temple to remind people of what Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah [did for them].
Las coronas serán para Helem, Tobías, Jedaías y Hen, hijo de Sofonías, como recuerdo en el templo de Yahvé.
15 People who are [living] far away will come and [help to] build my temple. When that happens, the people will know that [I], the Commander of the armies of angels, have sent you to them. [That will happen] if they faithfully obey me, Yahweh, your/their God.”
Los que están lejos vendrán y construirán en el templo de Yahvé; y sabrás que Yahvé de los Ejércitos me ha enviado a ti. Esto sucederá, si obedeces diligentemente la voz de Yahvé vuestro Dios”’”
