Zechariah 6
1 I looked up again, and [in the vision] I saw four chariots coming toward me. [They were coming] between two mountains [that were made] of bronze.
Und ich wandte mich zurück und hob meine Augen auf und sah, und siehe, vier Streitwagen kamen zwischen den zwei Bergen hervor, und die Berge waren Berge von Erz.
2 The first chariot [was pulled by] red horses, the second chariot [was pulled by] black horses,
Am ersten Streitwagen waren rote Rosse und am zweiten Streitwagen schwarze Rosse.
3 the third chariot [was pulled by] white horses, and the fourth chariot [was pulled by] spotted gray horses. They were all very strong horses.
Und am dritten Streitwagen weiße Rosse und am vierten Streitwagen getüpfelte starke Rosse.
4 I asked the angel who had been speaking to me, “Sir, what do those chariots mean?”
Und ich hob an und sprach zu dem Engel, der mit mir redete: Was sollen diese, mein Herr?
5 The angel replied, “They have come from standing in the presence of the Lord who controls/rules the entire earth. They will go across the sky in four directions.
Und der Engel antwortete und sprach zu mir: Dies sind die vier Winde der Himmel, die ausgehen, nachdem sie bei dem Herrn der ganzen Erde gestanden haben.
6 The chariot [pulled by] black horses will go north, the [one pulled by] white horses will go west, the one [pulled by] spotted gray horses will go south.”
Der, an dem die Schwarzen Pferde sind, zieht aus in das Land der Mitternacht, und die weißen ziehen hinter ihnen aus, und die getüpfelten ziehen in das Land des Südens.
7 When those powerful horses left, their [chariot-drivers] were eager to go throughout the world. [As they were leaving, ] the angel said to them, “Go throughout the world [and see what is happening]!” So that is what they did.
Und die starken zogen aus und suchten zu gehen, um die Erde zu durchwandeln. Und er sprach: Gehet hin, durchwandelt die Erde, und sie durchwandelten die Erde.
8 Then the angel called to me [and said], “Look/Listen, the [drivers of the] chariots that have gone north will do what the Spirit [of Yahweh wants them to do] there.”
Und er schrie mir zu und redete zu mir, sprechend: Siehe, die ausziehen in das Land der Mitternacht, die lassen Meinen Geist ruhen im Land der Mitternacht.
9 Then Yahweh gave me [another] message.
Und es geschah an mich das Wort Jehovahs, sprechend:
10 He said, “Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah will be bringing some silver and gold from the people who were (exiled in/forced to go to) Babylon. As soon as they arrive, go to the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah.
Man nehme von den Weggeführten, von Cheldai, von Tobjahn und von Jedajah; und du sollst hineingehen an jenem Tag, und du sollst hineingehen in das Haus Joschijahs, des Sohnes Zephanjahs, die von Babel kommen,
11 Take [some of that] silver and gold from them and make a crown. Then put it on the head of Jehozadak’s son Joshua, the Supreme Priest.
Und du sollst Silber und Gold nehmen und sollst Kronen machen; und sollst eine setzen auf das Haupt Jehoschuas, des Sohnes Jehozadaks, des Hohenpriesters,
12 Tell him that [I], the Commander of the armies of angels, say that the man who is called the Branch will come. He will leave the place where he is now, and he will [supervise those who] build my temple.
Und sprechen sollst du zu ihm, sprechend: So spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen, sprechend: Siehe, ein Mann, Zemach ist sein Name, und es wird sprossen unter ihm, und er wird Jehovahs Tempel bauen.
13 He is the one who [will tell those who] will build my temple [what to do]. He will wear royal clothing and he will sit on his throne and rule. There will also be a priest [sitting] next to his throne, and the two of them will work together harmoniously.
Und er wird Jehovahs Tempel bauen und wird Majestät tragen, und sitzen und herrschen auf seinem Thron, und er wird Priester sein auf seinem Thron, und ein Rat des Friedens wird zwischen beiden sein.
14 The crown must be [kept] in my temple to remind people of what Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah [did for them].
Und die Kronen sollen für Chelem und Tobijah und Jedajah und Chen, Zephanjahs Sohn, als Angedenken in Jehovahs Tempel sein.
15 People who are [living] far away will come and [help to] build my temple. When that happens, the people will know that [I], the Commander of the armies of angels, have sent you to them. [That will happen] if they faithfully obey me, Yahweh, your/their God.”
Und die von ferne werden kommen, und im Tempel Jehovahs bauen, und ihr sollt wissen, daß Jehovah der Heerscharen mich an euch gesendet hat. Und das wird geschehen, wenn ihr hört auf die Stimme Jehovahs, eures Gottes.
