Zechariah 6
1 I looked up again, and [in the vision] I saw four chariots coming toward me. [They were coming] between two mountains [that were made] of bronze.
Et je me retournai, et je levai les yeux, et je regardai, et voilà quatre chars sortant entre deux montagnes, et ces montagnes étaient d'airain.
2 The first chariot [was pulled by] red horses, the second chariot [was pulled by] black horses,
Au premier char il y avait des chevaux roux, et au second char, des chevaux noirs,
3 the third chariot [was pulled by] white horses, and the fourth chariot [was pulled by] spotted gray horses. They were all very strong horses.
et au troisième char, des chevaux blancs, et au quatrième char, des chevaux noirs.
4 I asked the angel who had been speaking to me, “Sir, what do those chariots mean?”
Et je parlai, et je dis à l'ange qui parlait avec moi: Qu'est cela, Seigneur?
5 The angel replied, “They have come from standing in the presence of the Lord who controls/rules the entire earth. They will go across the sky in four directions.
Et l'ange qui parlait avec moi me répondit, et me dit: Ce sont les quatre vents du ciel; ils sortent pour se tenir devant le Seigneur de toute la terre.
6 The chariot [pulled by] black horses will go north, the [one pulled by] white horses will go west, the one [pulled by] spotted gray horses will go south.”
Or les chevaux noirs s'en allaient sur toute la terre du septentrion; et les chevaux blancs venaient ensuite; et les gris-pommelé s'en allaient sur la terre du midi;
7 When those powerful horses left, their [chariot-drivers] were eager to go throughout the world. [As they were leaving, ] the angel said to them, “Go throughout the world [and see what is happening]!” So that is what they did.
et les autres sortirent, et ils regardèrent pour s'en aller et parcourir toute la terre; et l'ange leur dit: Marchez et parcourez toute la terre. Et ils parcoururent toute la terre.
8 Then the angel called to me [and said], “Look/Listen, the [drivers of the] chariots that have gone north will do what the Spirit [of Yahweh wants them to do] there.”
Et il cria, et il me parla, disant: Voilà que ceux qui s'en vont sur la terre du septentrion ont satisfait à Ma colère, en la terre du septentrion.
9 Then Yahweh gave me [another] message.
Et la parole du Seigneur vint à moi, disant:
10 He said, “Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah will be bringing some silver and gold from the people who were (exiled in/forced to go to) Babylon. As soon as they arrive, go to the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah.
Prends les dons des captifs, soit de leurs princes, soit des hommes serviables de la captivité, soit de ceux qui l'honorent; et ce jour-là entre en la maison de Josias, fils de Sophonie, qui est arrivé de Babylone.
11 Take [some of that] silver and gold from them and make a crown. Then put it on the head of Jehozadak’s son Joshua, the Supreme Priest.
Et tu prendras l'argent et l'or, et tu en feras des couronnes, et tu les poseras sur la tête de Jésus, fils de Josédec, le grand prêtre.
12 Tell him that [I], the Commander of the armies of angels, say that the man who is called the Branch will come. He will leave the place where he is now, and he will [supervise those who] build my temple.
Et tu lui diras: Voici ce que dit le Seigneur tout-puissant: Voilà un homme: Orient est Son Nom, et Il Se lèvera venant de ce qui est sous Lui.
13 He is the one who [will tell those who] will build my temple [what to do]. He will wear royal clothing and he will sit on his throne and rule. There will also be a priest [sitting] next to his throne, and the two of them will work together harmoniously.
Et Il bâtira le temple du Seigneur, et Il recevra la force, et Il siégera, et Il régnera sur Son trône; et le prêtre sera à Sa droite, et un conseil de paix sera entre eux deux.
14 The crown must be [kept] in my temple to remind people of what Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah [did for them].
Et la couronne sera pour ceux qui ont souffert patiemment, et pour ceux de la captivité qui auront été serviables, et pour ceux qui l'ont honorée, afin de rendre des actions de grâces au fils de Sophonie; et les chanter dans le temple du Seigneur.
15 People who are [living] far away will come and [help to] build my temple. When that happens, the people will know that [I], the Commander of the armies of angels, have sent you to them. [That will happen] if they faithfully obey me, Yahweh, your/their God.”
Et ceux qui demeurent au loin viendront et travailleront aussi à réédifier le temple du Seigneur; et vous saurez que le Seigneur tout-puissant M'a envoyé près de vous; et ces choses arriveront si vous êtes dociles à la voix du Seigneur votre Dieu.
