Revelation 15
1 Something else very unusual [appeared] in the sky. I saw seven angels, whose duty it was to [punish] (OR, inflict hardship upon) [rebellious people] with seven different plagues (OR, in seven different ways). God is so angry [with rebellious people that] this is the last [time that he will punish them with the purpose of giving them an opportunity to turn away from their sinful behavior].
Lalu tampaklah penglihatan lain yang sangat hebat dan mengherankan di surga: Muncul tujuh malaikat yang bertugas mendatangkan tujuh bencana terakhir. Dengan ketujuh bencana itu, selesailah semua hukuman dari murka Allah.
2 I saw what looked like an ocean [that was made of] glass and mixed with fire. And I saw the people who overcame the beast [by not worshipping it] or its image, or [allowing its agent to mark them with] the number that corresponds to the beast’s name [PRS]. They were standing by the ocean [that looked like it was made] of glass. They had harps [for praising] God.
Saya melihat lautan kaca yang di hadapan takhta Allah seperti bercampur api. Di pinggir lautan kaca itu berdiri semua orang yang sudah menang atas binatang pertama, patungnya, dan angka yang menggambarkan namanya. Mereka berdiri sambil memegang kecapi dari Allah
3 They were singing a song [like] God’s servant Moses [sang long ago]. They sang [like this to praise Jesus, the one who is like] a lamb: Lord God Almighty, whatever you do is powerful and marvelous! You always act righteously and truthfully. You are king forever!
dan menyanyikan lagu kemenangan yang dulu diciptakan oleh Musa, hamba Allah itu. Dengan lagu itu, mereka memuji Allah atas kemenangan yang mereka terima dari Anak Domba, “Besar dan ajaiblah segala perbuatan-Mu, ya TUHAN Allah Yang Mahakuasa! Raja segala bangsa, adil dan benar segala sesuatu yang Engkau perbuat!
4 O Lord, you alone are holy! People of [MTY] all nations will come and worship you, because you show everyone that you have judged everyone righteously. So, everyone will fear you and honor you! [RHQ].
Setiap orang akan hormat dan takut akan Engkau, ya TUHAN. Dan semua orang akan memuji dan memuliakan nama-Mu. Karena nyatalah bahwa hanya Engkau yang kudus. Semua bangsa akan datang dan tersungkur menyembah-Mu, karena sudah jelas bahwa penghakiman-Mu adil dan benar.”
5 After this, [in the vision] I saw in heaven the temple [that (corresponds to/was represented by]) the tent [that the Israelites pitched in the desert. That was the tent that contained] the [Ten Commandments. The temple door] was opened {was open}.
Lalu saya melihat kemah Allah di surga, dan ruang mahakudus yang dulu pintunya tertutup dengan tirai kini sudah terbuka!
6 The seven angels [who had the bowls containing] the seven plagues came out of the temple. The angels were dressed in clean, white linen [garments], and they wore gold bands around their chests.
Dari situ keluarlah tujuh malaikat yang bertugas mendatangkan tujuh bencana terakhir. Mereka masing-masing memakai jubah linen yang sangat putih berkilau-kilauan dan ikat pinggang emas yang lebarnya sampai ke dada.
7 One of the four living [creatures] gave [each of] the seven angels a golden bowl, filled with [wine/liquid. That wine/liquid symbolized] that God, who lives forever, would severely punish [rebellious people]. (aiōn g165)
Kemudian salah satu dari keempat makhluk hidup memberikan tujuh mangkuk emas kepada tujuh malaikat itu, masing-masing satu. Mangkuk-mangkuk itu berisi penuh air anggur beracun yang menggambarkan hukuman murka Allah, yaitu Dia yang hidup selama-lamanya. (aiōn g165)
8 The temple was filled with smoke [that symbolized] the presence of the glorious and all-powerful God. No one was able to enter the temple until the seven angels finished [pouring out] the seven plagues.
Tiba-tiba kemah itu penuh dengan asap, yang menggambarkan kemuliaan dan kuasa Allah. Karena itu tidak seorang imam pun bisa masuk ke dalamnya sebelum tujuh bencana yang didatangkan oleh ketujuh malaikat itu selesai.
