Psalms 98
1 Sing to Yahweh a new song, because he has done wonderful things! By his power [MTY] and his great strength [DOU] he has defeated [his enemies].
Oh zapojte Gospodu novo pesem, kajti storil je čudovite stvari. Njegova desnica in njegov sveti laket sta mu pridobila zmago.
2 Yahweh has declared to people that he has defeated his enemies; he has revealed that he has punished [them], and [people in] all the world have seen that he has done it.
Gospod je razglasil svojo rešitev duš; svojo pravičnost je javno pokazal v očeh poganov.
3 Like he promised to us Israeli people [MTY], he has faithfully loved us and (been loyal to/not abandoned) us. [People who live] in very remote places in all the earth have seen that our God has defeated [his enemies].
Spomnil se je svojega usmiljenja in svoje resnice do Izraelove hiše. Vsi konci zemlje so videli rešitev duš našega Boga.
4 All you [people] [MTY] everywhere should sing joyfully to Yahweh; praise him while you sing and shout joyfully!
Naredite radosten glas Gospodu, vsa zemlja. Naredite glasen zvok in veselite se in pojte hvalo.
5 Praise Yahweh while you play the lyres/harps, playing [delightful] music.
Prepevajte Gospodu s harfo; s harfo in glasom psalma.
6 [Some of you should] blow trumpets and other horns, [while others] shout joyfully to Yahweh, [our] king.
S trobentami in zvokom kornéta naredite radosten glas pred Gospodom, Kraljem.
7 The oceans and all [the creatures] that are in the oceans should roar [to praise Yahweh]. Everyone on the earth should sing!
Naj buči morje in njegova polnost, zemeljski [krog] in tisti, ki prebivajo na njem.
8 [It should seem as though] the rivers are clapping their hands [to praise Yahweh] and that the hills are singing together joyfully in front of Yahweh,
Naj reke ploskajo [z] rokami; hkrati naj bodo hribi radostni
9 because he will come to judge [everyone on] [MTY] the earth! He will judge [all] the people-groups [in the world] justly and fairly [DOU].
pred Gospodom, kajti on prihaja, da sodi zemljo. S pravičnostjo bo sodil zemeljski [krog] in ljudstva z nepristranskostjo.
