Psalms 98
1 Sing to Yahweh a new song, because he has done wonderful things! By his power [MTY] and his great strength [DOU] he has defeated [his enemies].
Cantai ao Senhor um cântico novo, porque fez maravilhas; a sua dextra e o seu braço santo lhe alcançaram a salvação.
2 Yahweh has declared to people that he has defeated his enemies; he has revealed that he has punished [them], and [people in] all the world have seen that he has done it.
O Senhor fez notória a sua salvação, manifestou a sua justiça perante os olhos das nações.
3 Like he promised to us Israeli people [MTY], he has faithfully loved us and (been loyal to/not abandoned) us. [People who live] in very remote places in all the earth have seen that our God has defeated [his enemies].
Lembrou-se da sua benignidade e da sua verdade para com a casa de Israel: todas as extremidades da terra viram a salvação do nosso Deus.
4 All you [people] [MTY] everywhere should sing joyfully to Yahweh; praise him while you sing and shout joyfully!
Exultai no Senhor, toda a terra; exclamai e alegrai-vos de prazer, e cantai louvores.
5 Praise Yahweh while you play the lyres/harps, playing [delightful] music.
Cantai louvores ao Senhor com a harpa; com a harpa e a voz do canto.
6 [Some of you should] blow trumpets and other horns, [while others] shout joyfully to Yahweh, [our] king.
Com trombetas e som de cornetas, exultai perante a face do Senhor, o Rei.
7 The oceans and all [the creatures] that are in the oceans should roar [to praise Yahweh]. Everyone on the earth should sing!
Brama o mar e a sua plenitude; o mundo, e os que nele habitam.
8 [It should seem as though] the rivers are clapping their hands [to praise Yahweh] and that the hills are singing together joyfully in front of Yahweh,
Os rios batam as palmas: regozijem-se também as montanhas,
9 because he will come to judge [everyone on] [MTY] the earth! He will judge [all] the people-groups [in the world] justly and fairly [DOU].
Perante a face do Senhor, porque vem a julgar a terra: com justiça julgará o mundo, e o povo com equidade.
